Oh wow- If I were only a little bit older I'd have been able to drive out to see these brilliant performers in concert. Truly some of the best Rock & Roll ever!!
It is crazy how this song (original not this version) was in the Kong trailer and these guys also sing the song "Godzilla" who will be fighting Kong in a few years
Before they were officially known as Blue Öyster Cult and were still going by “Softwhite Underbelly”, they made a song about Mothra. And in some performances of Godzilla, the spoken intro by Eric mentions Gamera and Rodan
Get a hold of their first live album, "On Your Feet Or On Your Knees." Their original show stopper was Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild" where Eric Bloom rides out on the stage on a Harley and at the end runs guitar necks with Buck Dharma. On the same album, they cover "I Ain't Got You," a blues cover made popular by the Yardbirds when Eric Clapton played with them. In that song Buck makes creative use of the riff from the Doors' "LA Woman." They've done other covers, mostly from 60s bands. They were themselves a 60s band that didn't make it until the 70s.

They knew
Buck Dharma is massively underrated
Very much so.
Darn right. Deserves more credit. Phenomenal guitarist.
A highly under rated band.
I love how they open the song like the Allman Bros.!
Eric knocks this out of the park as does the rest of the band.Their covers of All Along The Watchtower and All Right Now are great too.
Got a link to All Along the Watchtower? I'd love to hear that.
Just look it up like this(Joe B posted it):Watchtower by SFG Live at Conry's Bar (Hendrix Cover)
Cool, thanks!

they did a great job covering the Animals classic.
Brilliant cover! Can't imagine any better!
Animals were a great group. Some of the great Brill Bulding songwriters wrote songs for them. This was written by Barry Mann.
Let's find that better life! Killer cover!
