Perfect material for a kids table which will either get banged up or out-grown....whichever comes sooner. But looks great Phil. A little pointer if I may, which I noticed while watching........When cutting your biscuit slots....TURN the board 180* to cut the other side and thereby keeping the machine registering against the same face all the time......as opposed to FLIPPING the board over 180*. This will deliver more consistent alignment and minimum smoothing up after gluing......(unless of course you can absolutely perfectly center your blade...but still its best practice). All the best. :o)
That is such a good looking table man! So this is the Canadian build off huh... I hope I have enough time next year to jump in on it with you guys. great job
+My Garage Woodshop Thanks for the kind words. There won't be another Canadian Build-off. It's now Make My Way and there will be another one very soon. So get your gear ready brother!
great job phil! If you showed me a picture of this and told me it was reclaimed wood id call you a liar lol, And I love your idea for make my way! cant wait to see where this goes. Thanks for the collab, was a ton of fun : )
hi Phil nice work! ,I am also a you-tuber and am interested to know more about the" make my way" that you spoke of i9 would be happy if you have any additional information thanks David
Right now I'm using a 40 tooth dewalt general use blade. As soon as it burns out, I'm going back to the freud 50 tooth combo blade you see in this video.
This woodworking book “pepe amazing plan” (Google it) insures everything from wood types to tool types as well as uses. A few other subjects range from the various kinds of wood along with their different levels of difficulty in terms of managing them. This book has been very useful and is a good one for somebody just getting into woodworking.
Nice job, your kids will enjoy for years. I like recycling wood, countless uses from toys to furniture.
+Alan Pinho thanks Alan. My kids eat at this table all the time, they love it :)

What is the length of the table
can I ask what type of saw blade you used on your table saw?
Right now I'm using a 40 tooth dewalt general use blade. As soon as it burns out, I'm going back to the freud 50 tooth combo blade you see in this video.
What did you use to finish the wood? Greetings from Chile!
