This channel has motivated me through chronic illness, surgery, recovery, and treatments! Thank you to ALL at LaLande! Secondly, I have been inspired to create a vegetable garden again, along with flower beds, and take on my own little home renovations and spruce ups. I can't get enough!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate all the men like “the Ians” who through their skill and labor allow beautiful renovations like this to be possible? I’m not saying women can’t or don’t work construction, but it’s mostly guys who historically and presently flesh out other people’s visions by doing the majority of this type of work. Without their willingness to choose a job where they get their hands dirty, we wouldn’t have the vast majority of the beautiful architecture and renovations we enjoy. I’m always impressed by the courtesy and appreciation Stephanie treats everyone with, including some who may seem a bit rough around the edges. And the Ians themselves are really kind and courteous communicators as well as skillful craftsmen.

Dear Stephanie, I´m so happy about your concreat tiles. They will look amazing into the china cabinet. I´m so proud of that you are so strong even the builders are advicing other things. Ok, a little bit more work, but it´s worth! Greatings from Leipzig.

I agree about being scared sleeping under a large chandelier. It is so beautiful. It looks like a flower garden. It would be beautiful in your office. A chandelier looks pretty though a window and the colors of you room look good with it.

But what about all that weight in the attic? That makes me nervous. Isn't that a concern?

  • @janaschuster2813

Stephanie, for the attic space where you have less head room for bulky insulation, there’s a super thin high-performance insulation material which gets used in aircrafts and space shuttles. It looks like padded aluminium foil. I know this can regularly be purchased second hand at ‘airplane graveyards’. Considering France has a big aviation industry I’m sure you can source some fairly easily probably for little money. That way you can super heavily insulate without loosing more than a few cm of height
