It's funny, when I first started watching this video I got a little annoyed because the guy wasn't talking. But as I sat and watched I felt myself slowly surrender to the sounds of nature. And by the end of the video I felt so calm and peaceful that I didn't want it to end. I realized just how noisy my daily life can be and how we humans never stop thinking and talking! - I looked over at my cat and he was just sitting there too. Not talking, not worrying, nothing, just 'being'.... I learned something about myself tonight. Wonder if anybody else felt this way. - Peace, and thank you for this wonderfully artful video. Well done. :)

In 2018 I was bored with daily life. I bought a bicycle and tent, put in in a box, and flew from the UK to New York. Over the next 100 days, I cycled across the United States where I wild camped all along the way. Honestly, just sitting in the tent, at night, all alone with the cayotes howling around me, listening to the peace, it is to this day the greatest experience I have ever felt. We all need nature.
@Pixies Ostrich Duster I would pick garages or Wallmart as my go-to camp in an urban environment. However, I pretty much always cycled to the outskirts. Truck stops were good too, especially Loves. Downside - the trucks have their engines running overnight and that can keep you awake. Honestly, you can find spots anywhere. Also, people randomly offer to host you - pretty much every other day someone offers. And finally, an app called 'Warmshowers'. Amazing at finding hosts if you fancy getting washed. I would also camp behind churches.

Even though being somewhat of a shut-in, I've always loved walking through forests. However, only after watching this video and seeing how many different shades of green there were, I actually started paying attention to the details. Pretty much every time I see or walk through a forest these days I can't stop admiring the colour scheme. Thanks for making this video. It really opened my eyes!
The way how this is recorded makes me feel like I was also in there, just watching whilst I prepare for the camp too. I'm a huge sucker for the rain, and I am not ashamed to say that!
That painting was awesome. And the transition from the painting into reality ... WOW! This made me feel so relaxed. I'm jealous. I know it had to be distracting to your zen to set up cameras from afar and do al of that, but it certainly made for a relaxing video for me. The lack of talking and just hearing and seeing nature ... MAGNIFICENT. You sacrificed your own tranquility for mine. Thank you.
Outstanding!!! Without doubt the best “real” bushcraft channel anywhere! Brought back lots of memories of many years past. Your artistry is second to none! Thank you for sharing!
I have so much respect for the people that make videos like these, not only for setting up the place they stay at and getting the recourse’s but also for just having to put the camera in different angles.
I think I have found myself a new way of relaxing. Loved watching this. Never thought I'd watch a 47 minute video from beginning to end of someone camping by themselves.
Death was everywhere here, but death was simple, understandable, wise in its own way, even fair: leaves and needles flew from trees and rotted in the ground, broke under a heavy bear paw and bushes dried up, the grass became the prey of a deer, and he himself - a pack of wolves. . Death was closely, inextricably intertwined with life - and therefore not terrible.
I was totally captivated by this; absolutely amazing ASMR, editing, cinematography and overall feel. It has been 2 decades since I did anything like this, and you have made me want to get back out in nature again. So well done!

i can feel these rain drops dripping on my soul and washing away my worries and sorrows. there is a pleasure in the pathless woods, there is a rapture on the lonely shore, there is society, where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar, i love not man the less, but nature more.

I just sat here and watched it all and felt so cozy. I love the sound of rainfall on a tent.
Nice!
agreed!
RIP Ric you will always be our teacher
Maybe it’s just my age but I love everything about this video, especially, NO MUSIC! Keep up the awesome videos, my wife and I love em!🤗
Oh my God, that painting is magnificent. The shading, lighting and texture throughout the picture is incredible. Loved the video, just subscribed!!!
Thank you!
Stevie haha from rust to bushcraft. Like your rust vids btw, and i like playing it to
Small world eh
I'm also subscribed! Thanks you a lot!
As if one of my favorite youtubers watches these videos too!
Sitting here in a cosy house, fridge full of food and my mouth is watering looking at that chicken
Good to hear
Same here
How he keep fresh meat 3rd day ?
And he carry eggs 🥚
Even though being somewhat of a shut-in, I've always loved walking through forests. However, only after watching this video and seeing how many different shades of green there were, I actually started paying attention to the details. Pretty much every time I see or walk through a forest these days I can't stop admiring the colour scheme. Thanks for making this video. It really opened my eyes!
👍👍
The way how this is recorded makes me feel like I was also in there, just watching whilst I prepare for the camp too. I'm a huge sucker for the rain, and I am not ashamed to say that!
Me too one of the advantages of living in wales UK...plenty of rain, nature's natural sleeping remedy👍
I can dig it, I seek out severe weather when camping.
I want to go camping now. Maybe not like this guy, but pitching a tent, starting a fire, and making a meal with it just sounds so awesome right now.
Really professional filming here. Love the paint shot fading away to actual camp
Thanks!
Yea that blew my mind. It’s a retro camera trick that fit so well with the vibe🙏
@@NagualeroArt What tipi tent are you using? I sure love your videos
Thank you!
The painting was outstanding and I LOVE the way he was so attentive to ensure that the fire was completely out.
Wow. That fade from the painting to life. Man that was awesome! Always enjoy your videos. Thanks.
I have so much respect for the people that make videos like these, not only for setting up the place they stay at and getting the recourse’s but also for just having to put the camera in different angles.
who would ever thumbs down this video? Its just pure. The silence is so refreshing
He doesn't disrupt the serene trip with talking. I love it.
Rest in peace my friend. You have been a true inspiration was us to open our UA-cam channel.
What happened???
@@adarshm8210he passed a way.
I haven’t even been watchin this for five minutes and I’m addicted and wanting to go camp just to have fun😂 I love this,ur awesome
great👍
You're an excellent chef, craftsman, woodsman, artisan, and oil painter!
Thank you 🙏
But I wish he would wait for coals before cooking. Driving me crazy. Noooooooo! 😮😂😂😂
@@hermit6208 The chicken was hitched high enough, it didn't burn. Probably too hungry to wait.
These is what we all need at some point go camping to refresh our minds and just forget about our personal problems
Most peaceful thing i have ever watch on UA-cam 😊
I was totally captivated by this; absolutely amazing ASMR, editing, cinematography and overall feel. It has been 2 decades since I did anything like this, and you have made me want to get back out in nature again. So well done!
Great 👍
You should do that every month.
I was super impressed by the performance of your tent...and also with your mad bush crafting skills...but the thing that wow'ed me was your artwork. This was a very enjoyable watch. Thank you!
Thanks for watching👍
Felt more peaceful after watching the small chimney near the Tent. Damn that painting. So wholesome nature video ❤️
He's a great painter
El mejor video que ví durante la pandemia. R.I.P Nagualero! Always in our minds.
We talk so much yet say so little....this silence is much appreciated.
@@dubu_nsnl7018 Thats just a common saying. Why do you have to be so aggressive after watching such a serene video bro :v
Dubu_NSNL I think you may have just did the same haha
@@dubu_nsnl7018 thank you for using elementary sentence structure to criticize me. You've really made think hard today.
It helps to have less trivial conversations. Even easier when in a group setting to remain silent when someone starts talking about the weather.
Why argue about something so pointless when you can just enjoy this fine video?
Like the fact that we are just watching no cometary, just sights and sounds. Very relaxing.
Hi Ric: I'm continually impressed by the skill & common sense you bring to these videos. The totally miserable conditions are only used as an opportunity to adapt & show the rest of us what is possible no matter the conditions. Thanks again for another thoughtful & beautiful adventure. Brian 79
Thanks!
You always find rain lovers whose hearts are clean and pure❤
What a Gift to be able to paint your experiences into memories .
i can feel these rain drops dripping on my soul and washing away my worries and sorrows.
there is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
there is a rapture on the lonely shore,
there is society,
where none intrudes,
by the deep sea,
and music in its roar,
i love not man the less,
but nature more.
Beautiful!!!
@Techno Umesh lama i did lost many times above 14000 ft in high mountains
Bravo..beautiful piece
Guys and galls and others we need to band together this is the real real deal here this guy does not get enough credit we need to do something about it just make it happen please I'm amazed this is wonderful.
This has got to be one of the most therapeutic videos on the internet.
Watching this and listening to it with a good quality headphone is a all different experience. I highly recommend!
Glad you enjoy it!
If you're prepared, camping through a storm is one of the most fun experiences....when I was younger, winter camping in the ADK Mtns with my Father was one of my favorite things.
When you pull away from the painting and reveal the actual living scene is Narnia-magic like.
