- I had "a moment" ... It involved colorful language loud enough for my husband to hear two floors up. I was using my electric drill and he came tearing down the stairs because he thought I'd hurt myself. Nope. I was just frustrated and overwhelmingly angry with myself. But lets get real. It happens to the best of us. I'll tell you all about it.
I make reference to a video in which I show you how to modify plastic drawer guides to fit on wooden guide tracks. It was for these bedside tables. You can watch it here:

Love the honesty! Not everything works out right the first time around and it's good to see that in instructional videos.
Right? That was a doozy! 😂
Love these!!! I certainly remember those ugly 70's nightstands. Its seems that look was a must for my youth!! Yuk! You really made them beautiful!! Dang if I don't wish I could be refinished better than new as well 🤔 😃
🤣You and me both!
Beautiful
Loved how you flipped those drawer glides and hammered out the bent parts, and a bonus tip with the paint stick guide for your sander! I saw another youtuber use that Valspar Cabinet and Furniture Paint in a sprayer and it left a lot of texture, but yours turned out smooth. A brush or roller is recommended, but I might have to try it in a sprayer, although mine isn't as nice of a sprayer as yours. Your paint wash also turned out so even, mine sometimes go splotchy.
Glad it was helpful!
Decades ago I had a cheap drill with a level bubble on the top that really helped keep the drill straight.
You can get level bubbles that stick on things, so that might be a solution.
That's an excellent idea!!! Thank you! I have just the level too. I got a bunch of small, adhesives levels that came with either wall art or shelves I installed. I'll give that a try!

Thank you Debra. That’s so sweet and encouraging. And yes, I don’t know if I could do all that I do without Kevin’s support. Glad you have a supportive partner as well.
