    Thanks Josh love your content! Have taken a lot of your suggestions and started selling low end cards part time. Very similar model as your successful side hustle. One thing I use is scheduled listings to create a set of postings each day to meet my listing goals into the future. I can use my free time when I have it and schedule listings to go live each day. I find it works great. eBay has some very useful tools for the small time seller. Keep up the great work! 👍

      Definitely love the idea of using scheduled listings. Totally forgot about that and definitely a time saver. Selling low end cards can be time consuming, but I absolutely love it. Stay consistent and keep moving forward at a pace that fits your life and schedule. Thanks for the support and appreciate you watching!

    That draft tip has helped me a lot! Thanks for making my listing quicker. I've been doing this for almost a year and never knew what drafts were for. Now I can get that glut of inventory listed more efficiently. Thanks!

    Time is a precious commodity, we got to make the most of it I agree, consistency is important, really keep in mind it's a hobby, and to have fun. I like the drafts idea. Nicely neat and organized.

      Definitely a precious commodity. I love what I do, but this is still a side hustle for me and there are other priorities in life. This is still a hobby for me and I absolutely love it and have so much fun doing it. It definitely keeps me moving forward.

    How do you make any money when you sell a card for 1.49 free shipping ?

    • @smalltowncollectibles1959
      @smalltowncollectibles1959 Рік тому +4

      Quantity

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому +2

      It's about quantity and also depends on what you are able to get the cards for. Sometimes I lose on selling cards for $1.49, but they are actually loss leaders in which I'll get times in which buyers will buy multiple cards in one order and that really saves on fees and shipping to the point where you are actually making some good returns on those $1.49 cards. But quantity is key.

    I have a quick question: do you promote your listings? I really appreciate your videos I've always been interested in selling low end sports cards.

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому

      Hi Noah, no I don't promote my listings. Have never done it. Honestly, I don't think it does much and plus will most likely eat into some of the profits because of the additional fees. I found that being consistent and sticking to a listing goal everyday, with accurate item descriptions and item specifics is good enough that you may not need to use promoted listings.

    Thanks for the advice man. Appreciate you. Just getting back on Ebay. Question. When you say low end do you think listing base cards like say from donruss baseball, just standard base, is worth it? Like what is your low end cap? To you, what's not worth it? Or is it all? Thanks again.

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому

      I think there is a balance to be had with those base donruss cards and other low end cards. I started off by selling cards that I felt would sell quickly and as I made profits, I took those profits to buy more cards to sell. As my store grew, I started to put those base cards in my store (in my case base donruss and hoops basketball). But you have to go in with the understanding that those types of cards will take time to sell and can eat up on your free monthly listings to the point where you may end up paying additional listing fees per month as they get relisted. So having that balance of being able to turn your inventory quickly is very important.
      I think to understand which cards are worth it depends on how much I am able to get the cards for. I will buy a lot of base cards of stars and hall of famers if I can get them for very low prices.

    Hey josh or anyone else reading this, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to buy complete sets and flip those cards since the price per card would be so low?

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому

      I think my only hesitation would be that if you piece it out, you may sitting a lot of cards for quite sometime. You will probably be able to sell the stars and do well to recoup the costs, but its the other cards in the set that will take time. It may require more patience and possibly listing them as lots. Just my thoughts.

    What do you do with the cards, that you haven't moved, and they sit there? Do you ever donate them

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому +1

      Haven't thought about donating them. They usually just sit in the inventory box. Maybe if I set up at a card show, I'll bring those out. Or one thing that I have thought about lately was setting up a COMC account and sending them there.

    Cool video bro!
    Any tips on photos / scanning?
    I’ve been searching your videos…but you’ve got a LOT!
    Lol
    I’m not sure if I need to just bite the bullet and get a finitely…or maybe there’s some tips.
    Do you even photo low end cards / variation listings / “u choose”?

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому

      I've been only using my camera phone to take photos of my cards to list. The main reason being is that I don't list hundreds of cards daily. I only list about 20 to 25 cards a day. While it does take time to take photos off my phone, it's been working for me so far. Now the plan will be to eventually move up to a scanner, but I cross that bridge when I start to list even more cards daily.
      I take photos of all my cards that I list, but haven't yet explored the variation listings method yet. I would probably end up using those mainly for cards from particular sets that I am trying to sell.

  • @tcgplayaa

    How many cards on average do you have listed for sale on your store at any given time? Assuming you have thousands listed to be able to get a consistent amount of sales daily.

    • @JoshUnboxed824
      @JoshUnboxed824  Рік тому +1

      Currently I have about 1200 cards listed. It slowly grows day by day as cards are sold daily. But I currently list 23 cards a day now and on average have been selling about 10 or more cards daily. Sometimes I end up selling 20 cards in a day. So my store's progression in terms of number of cards listed is quite slow, but the sales are consistent.
