This viedo has been nicely edited, almost educational, non offensive, non political yet there are a couple of dislikes at the time of writting....go figure... I really enjoyed the trip. Thanks for sharing.
correct, only that the 764 kinda has the same flightdeck but the overhead panel, FMC and various other sections are identical to the classic 767's. In fact, the 764 has the same type rating as the 752/762-3. 764's wheels, tyres and brakes are common with the 777. Landing gear is taller to accomodate the streach (for rotation purposes). I would say the 764 is half way between.
This looks like a fabulous airliner to fly on. All that state of the art technology on board! Were those actually computer terminals I saw at one point? Cool video! I cna imagien what those passengers paid to go on that flight!
I think that there is one type of the B747 at the moment. That's the B747-800. The last made 400 was in 2008. The way of travel is somewhere different by the B747 as by the A380. The very long intercontinental flights will be made by the A380 and the sorter intercontinntal fligts, but also long aswell with a 450 passenges on board is the B747-800. Now I look forward to the Ecoliner planes. Double decks with 2 engines. Very cheap in flying and it seems that they are very practical.
Sir, it made sense for Boeing to spend money on improving the 744. First, it only cost $5B which is less than half of what a new aircraft development would have cost. Second, after they had a new design completed, companies lined up to buy it (not a lot, but at least they already had orders lined up) After the orders lined up, they calculated that they only need to sell a dozen more or two in order to make a profit. The 747 is one of the most popular aircraft every made. In time they will sell.
Yeah, I guess you're right. If they were to make a FULL Double Decker it would be in development as of right now. And look at Airbus. They're doing successful with their A380, and they're already developing another product, the A350. Do you know if there are any other Airliners considering the 747-8??
I still believe that 748I orders will increase in the future. I think Airbus' full double decker A380 concept equals a significant amount of savings in the long run compared to the 747. But Boeing makes up for it in other ways like the 777, 787, and 737 max.
Im proud of both companies because Boeing had the design of an aircraft that looked liked the A380 and was full on double decker but they did not decide to build it. Instead Airbus figured it out and actually built it and they got what they deserved. If boeing invested in it they would've been just as good. People...Its one airplane
737NG introduced 15 years ago. 767-400ER introduced 13 years ago (along with a new "Signature Interior" for the 767 and 777). 777-300, 777-200LR, and 777-300ER introduced less than 14 years ago. 787 (an all new wide-body) introduced. 747-8i (extensive modification... decent amount of orders) introduced. Also the new Boeing Sky Interior and numerous PIPs over the years. Yeah, they didn't innovate for the past 15 years?
yup u r rite i think im a little biased but dnt u think its justified? if u compare the sales graph of boeing with airbus i think u will feel the difference
Go to Seat Guru I manager to get a seat right up front. On Emirates as there is no 1st or business class down stairs. all the down stairs seats are for economy. This great as the more forward you sit the quieter and smoother the flight.
And it is not an embarrassment at all. Boeing is in the business to make profit. It doesn't matter if they sell more freighters than commercial. At the end of the day, it's all about the profits.
The airlines that have ordered the 747-8i need the 747-8i for it's particular and specific niche. Look at Lufthansa, they have both the A380 and 748i on order... but are they being operated on the same route? Or with the same configurations? No... The 748i is much more premium heavy. And it's put on routes which require less capacity than the A380 offers. IAD-MUC would be stupid on an A380, but sensible on a 748i. The A330 would be useless on such a route. LH *needs* the 748i for certain routes.
Thanks a lot for taking the time and uploading!
Holy crap that was a lexus-grade takeoff!!! so damn quiet- i wanna go on one!
thank you tons for posting this!!!
WOW :)! Love your Video :)! Nice job :)! Allah keep you safe :)!
Great video
Very nice footage! Thanks for the filming--and the posting!
suprisingly no turbulence or shaking whatsoever during takeoff!--amazing!

I really enjoyed the trip. Thanks for sharing.

I can't believe the size of those wings and the engines!! They're HUGE!!
The A380 is sooooooo damn quiet..... how come.....
Excellent... and just see that air hostess smiling.... beautiful...

Those engines are big... amazing!
This is an amazing pice of aviation
Nice video; I just wish it was uploaded at higher resolution
Nice video !
very impressed at how quiet the engines are.
@obaidCarkey And fricking amazing how quiet these engines are!! Or is it the doubled glass?
This looks like a fabulous airliner to fly on. All that state of the art technology on board! Were those actually computer terminals I saw at one point? Cool video! I cna imagien what those passengers paid to go on that flight!
It's amazing how quiet the engines are.

Amazing how silent the engines are at take off. Plus may be the insulation is better on this compared to narrow bodies.

Wow, Airbus created a really nice aircraft. But I will prefer the old loud roaring engines on the older aircraft

@AstonMartin427 you took the words out of my mouth. So true.
love this plane
LOVE EMIRATES
I never have rode an A380 to be honest. I'm surprised its not as as noisy as the older planes.
to imagine that they already have 30 of the beasts!
A flying hotel! I wanna fly on that plane so bad!
People are always talking about how big the GE90 engines are, but look at those Trent 900 engines... 😳
Oh ok :) Didnt know that :) thanks for your answer :)
I love Dubai
Can't compare apples and oranges my friend. They are NoT the same thing and they are both amazing airplanes

Nice!!!
1:26 the map of the plane thats amazing man
Air Bus A380 - Change is in the Air....
Go Mama
@unatriscuitagain I think it was an airbus, the planes we got back in the states are usually airbuses, like US Airlines, United, Delta, etc
@emirates761 There isn't a new airport, there is a new terminal (T3) at Dubai which is where all Emirates flights are served.
Quiet engines are a feature of the A380
Thanx... Do u remember the seat number ?
That guy had a lot of runway, those engines are particularly quiet.
What a plane!!
Nice green D0-10 at the End!
(Or is it a 747 ) LOL.
That takeoff took forever.
ha ha! yeah. that's another behemoth too! no. gonna pass on both, thanks! lol! ( loved your comment; 'bet you'd really enjoy!! etc nice!) cheers mate!
nice!
as previously stated they have 15 delivered and 90 on order
@berndl147 i think theirs about 37 a380 emirates
emirates, lovely lovely stewardess, i wanna hv them all
yup u r rite i think im a little biased but dnt u think its justified? if u compare the sales graph of boeing with airbus i think u will feel the difference
Isn't Lufthansa the Only airline so far that has the 748i?
is this the new airport?
@subin1 apparently lots of space flying on it in 4 days!
5:48
amazing
No, I know It just looks like Pacifica, MS based Pacifica for FSX on Gulf air
How many stairs are in A380 ?
has it got space on the economy class
i was scrolling through the video and i thought that the plane was cruising the whole way until it took off LOL
were you on the lower deck?
how come the engines are "unheard"
I think BA's buying Airbus to help Europe's economy....but i agree with your comment
At 6:32, what is that? A 747SP body with a DC-10 (MD-11) tail?
Airbus has a better safety record, they both build fine planes
Th plane at 3:33 looks like the pacifica arilines livery in FSX!
what's the number of the seat?
what seat ?
which seat ? ;)
Nice but the New Boeing 747-8 is awesome and Boeing has a proven track record of safety which airbus unfortunately dont have.
A flying hotel!
@AstonMartin427 Yep felt like 1.
What seat do you have? I'm flying on emirates a380 in a few months and need to know what seat I should pick :)
Go to Seat Guru
I manager to get a seat right up front.
On Emirates as there is no 1st or business class down stairs.
all the down stairs seats are for economy. This great as the more forward you sit the quieter and smoother the flight.
They always do except for the 777 when it is in the Emirates livery!
well you rite... they are in "seating capacity" :p
at the end that looked like a 747 with a tail of a DC-10 or an MD-11.
They really did not screw up, but it would be better if Boeing made a REAL A380 competitor!!
seat???
3:33 looks like CSS Pacifica airlines!
The takeoff run was so long, I thought the pilot was going to drive it to London -_-
the designation is Flight Attendent & not stewardess
What seat number?
Thanks
6:30 what was that plane???
hey man i wasn't comparing them, i was defending boeing..... look at Dartagnyn's comment
its not a hotel its an airport
Cut engine startup sound :(
And it is not an embarrassment at all. Boeing is in the business to make profit. It doesn't matter if they sell more freighters than commercial. At the end of the day, it's all about the profits.
umm no that A300 and A310 have different flight decks
this aircraft engine is less noisy
