Poor quality of the image and for the lousy sound - it was recorded with a Nikon D5000 - so I suggest that those who will watch to decrease the sound volume.
The plane was an Embraer 190/195 of AZUL airlines from Brazil.
Take-off in Navegantes Airport, State of Santa Catarina, heading Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul,Southern of Brazil.
Thank you.
A qualidade da imagem não é boa e o de som é horrível - então sugiro que abaixem o volume caso forem assistir.
Obrigado.
the difference in brightness once above the clouds was amazing
Pull over, I've decided to walk!
Austin HUI but you can get out and free fall :D
Hahahaha, YESSSSSSSS!
😂
you can see at 0:27 person who is reading, i always wondering abot them in a weather like this, so calm like nothing happens. so jaleous of them.
+casablancas182 I know right. My heart is always beating fast before take off lol
+casablancas182 I like to imagine that the person is DEATH. And he knows that he's not needed. Not on this flight, not tonight.
+casablancas182 I also always read during flights... On the inside I'm frozen with fear xD
Hate flying ahah
+Ashley Pomeroy de
+Cláudia Ferreira me too xD
Thank you! People are so very ignorant about aircraft. They have so many safety features. It's truly amazing.
I have never seen the sky this dark during the day. It must have been a very wild ride. Best storm takeoff footage I've seen in a long time. Awesome!
All of those clouds blocked the whole sky.
I love flying in thunderstorms especially ones like these
cant be true:D
I like flying thrue clouds and thunderstorm aswell but my favs are dark clouds
Me too
***** lol man i also always sed that till you in a flight like that bro haha its crazy!
The biggest storm i"ve been in was during monsoon season in Phoenix with the tops reaching FL340 in an MD80 at night. It was a fun ride
What a great laxative this would've been.
😂😂
Super😄😄
Every single person on that flight is braver than me. I'd have seen dem clouds and been like NOPE NO FLYING FOR ME 2DAY
Lmao me too
I love your comments 😂 Olivia
Azul is the best brazilian Airlines company and their Embraer aircraft's are amazing .
the best takeoff video I've ever seen .. The climb is wonderful, spiral climb with multiple thunderstorms surrounding the plane ..
This video may have lacked some polish, but the content more than makes up for it!! Fantastic video. Well done and thank you for posting. :)
Amazing video. You’ve captured the weather and clouds on point
Beautiful. An interesting first 11 minutes of your flight. I love the change of view from the start to the end. Clouds can be fascinating.
Thank You For Sharing This Spectacular Footage ! So Awesowe I Watched It Twice. ✈⛅⚡💓😋
HERMOSISIMO!!! ESPECTACULAR!!! La baja resolucion tambien le agrega encanto. Gracias por compartirlo.
SuperAlaska2011 Gracias!
Chasing the sun... Beautiful video!!!
R.I.P Headphone users
I'm still alive. Lol. 😂
Lol😂😂
Im still alive
Thanatos9029 I am wearing headphones and I can still hear
😂😂😂
This is absolutely spectacular
This still has to be my favorite flight vid. Using ATC and onboard radar the pilot easily flew the safest path threading thru the worst of the storm. I would love to have been right or left seat for that flight. Good job everyone.
Thank you Pat Glass
Thank you phat ass! :)
,,,I agree 100% Pat ,,, and by the way ,,, I'd love to be there too ,,, Looks like a great ride to me man ,,, :)
great footages !!!! so beautiful...but so scary !!!! thanks for sharing...
OMG I love the storms their energy is so cool
BTW very beautiful video☁☁☁
Oh gosh. Beautiful and so...scary. I would pass out o.o
Sanfthauch same!!!!! Omg let's not fly in this weather....it's better if we see it in videos 😜😜
I was flying on a Malaysian plane over Indonesia when we entered a cloud of volcanic ash. This knocked out all the engines when at about 5000 feet the plane recovered. I was so thankful to be alive that I swore off flying with Malaysian airlines.
Looks like you guys know best and are obviously out there flying the skies every-day. I'll happily concede to the both of you.
the video quality is much better than a lot others taken with lossy cell phones...
Nice! I'm from Brazil (I live in America and was born there) Que legal! Must have been a crazy experience!
i hate to flying in turbulent, but sometimes i air pocket is worse than turbulent, and i love it
Once we wer fliying from Savador to Sao Paulo takig off during he night in the same coditions. Any way it was a fantastic flight because you can see the lightnings and the clouds as the same as in the video...It was pretty amazing!!!
Yeah this would be the one time I'd pop some valium and take a shot or two just so I don't scream/pass out.
I'm flying in two days, if my pilot does this to me, I'll wait till we land and I'm kicking his fucking ass
Liz i totally agree !!! Think id b trying to get off the damb thing as its taking off 😂😂😂😂
amazing video and thanks for the effort..I feel so humbled watching this
Amazing spiral take-off
Pilot avoided the storm well, nice vid.
Pardon the nooby question...
Isn't it dangerous to fly in that weather?
Yes, but in some cases when the storm is not directly in that location, they are usually doing landing and take off procedures. But if the storm was in that location, it would be dangerous to take off or land.
Hm...
+Atomic_Thomas it's only dangerous when you have hail formation, thunders do not affect the aircraft, nor does the wind. Turbulence it's unconfortable for the passenger so in general airlines avoid than when possible. But as I said before the problem it's more with the hail formation that can serious damage an aircraft.
yes, but by the looks of this, the pilot saw that there was a gap he can get out of, so he climbed up in a climbing turn, and the whole flight looked like a pretty steep climb to get away from it
+AndrewSephiTV thunderstorms have hail and severe turbulence in updraughts and downdraughts, these are formed from cumulonimbus cloud, and are very dangerous
Muy impresionante y buen video...👍desde 🇲🇽
slightly apocalyptic and strangely beautiful
Yes, going around it.
The first question you have, can turbulence cause an aircraft go out of control and crash? Whilst turbulence can be uncomfortable and sometimes scary there are no reports or incidents that I know of that have caused an aircraft to lose control.
As for your second question, what you have been told is correct. The passengers are the eyes and ears of the airplane, lights are dimmed and blinds-up so that passengers can see fire, leaks etc. - it really is as simple as that :)
Bumpy but beautiful! Thanks for posting!
Very nice view in last minutes of video.thanx
awesome video, creepy take off. i suprised you still took of in that kind of weather!
This footage is amazing!
That was pretty smooth for the conditions. It looked more visually dramatic than bumpy, but then again I wasn't on the plane.
Azul linhas aereas do Brasil .
Otima decolagem e eles falam em portugues do Brasil
dang, thats crazy. your pilot must of had balls of steel lol! Awesome vid too
Awesome turn.
Earth is such a marvelous place on the universe...
That was pretty relaxing, the middle part.
tha lits of tha wing is lik tha sun
No camera can convey the beauty of the scenery :)
Not only that, I work on aircraft as a structural maintainer, there are lightning diffusers laced throughout the aircraft to prevent significant damage to the aircraft if it were ever struck. A plane can get hit my lightning and continue to fly.
Ive heard nothing but great things about Azul. Very similar to its American cousin JetBlue.
my right ear enjoyed this
Pilot:
Hey, there's a good cell off to the right!
Co-pilot: I say go for it.
Pilot: Hell yeah, rockin' and rollin'
Azul Airlines, the best!!!
These fsx videos are getting more realistic everyday!
Recording for sound reminds me of the old C-141 flight from Kadena to Yokuda Japan. Great video BTW.
Great video!
Awesome video!!!
Good video 👍✈
Holy shit your plane was heading towards the center of that storm O.O. It looks cool and kind of intriguing a bit but scary at the same time.
este vôo foi efetuado entre Navegantes à Porto Alegre por uma aeronave EMB 195 da Azul Linhas Aérea
comandante corajoso pois o mau tempo estava próximo boas imagens pra vc que filmou legal
You were correct in that planes have been hit by lightning before, in fact somewhere on the planet is happens everyday, several times. It is not all too serious as long as electronics and the hydraulics controlled by electronics are left unharmed. A commercial craft has "hot throws" at ends of wings and along fuselage, sometimes you can see the rods below on some Boeing models, but planes are designed to take a strike and spread the heat around the entire fuselage and out the "ground rods"/
Wow great video
that video scares me flying into scary clouds
SORY
YOU ar stoiupid
Wow that is scary, beautiful once you were up above the first cloud bank!
I had to search here cos I'm gonna be flying in a storm. It's still beyond me how these big bastards can fly
Excited takeoff!
Excellent vid !
I don't get you. What do u mean by flanking the storm? Going around it?
Btw, if you really are a pilot, I 've a question for you. Can turbulence cause an aircraft to go out of control and crash?.. and one more. Why is it that during night take offs and landings, the lights are dimmed and the window shades are asked to be drawn up?.. I've heard the pilots themselves announcing it's for safety reasons. What is the reason?
I give a Thumbs Up for the video.
Great video,,,,,great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,,,,,
Quanta escuridão no céu! O.O A que horas foi essa decolagem??
Maneirissimo o video.
wtf was that ding sound
thats the sound of "alright everybody, this is it, the moment of truth, we r going in , hold on your balls"
+elam
LOL... my same thought, and then realized later on it was the notification bell. He definitely was on the mark re-the audio quality!
Cool video!
00:12 did I see a tornado????!??!??!??!!??!
It's wetness on the window
♥ Very niceee!!! ♥
Top , gostei do vídeo .
Did anyone notice the plane shaking?
Thats called turbulance.
That's the first thing I noticed
That must have been sooooooo cool
this is why i don't fly. whatever i go i drive in my car. flying during a thunder storm is beyond dangerous.
That is very true according to the statistics! Yes it looks scary flying in thunderstorms such as this. But these pilots are professionals and know what they are doing. If the conditions are too dangerous to take off in, they will either postpone or cancel the flight. I myself have been in weather delays. Cars crash every single day on the streets, freeways and highways. But aviation is the most controlled and monitored method of travel, which is why it is much safer than driving. On the road, some drunk or inattentive driver can run a red light and broadside you in a heartbeat and you may not even see it coming. But what are the chances of that happening at 20,000 or 30,000 feet? I used to be afraid to fly when I was a kid. I still do get a little nervous when turbulence hits, especially if it's considerable or severe. But for the most part, I sleep on jetliners now. It's quite relaxing if it's a smooth and uneventful flight. But I'm not criticizing you or putting you down at all. Like I said, I used to be scared to death to fly. Now I can't to go on vacation every summer! I guess it's something you get used to the more you do it.
kenpalmer1965 good description and conclusion but try to write a smaller comment because your comment took me 2 hours to read !
Out of curiosity, this took you 2 hours to read?
kenpalmer1965
It's called hyperbole to emphasize the sense of the length of your comment.
Me. Gustaria saber tambien
Qual a cidade que você filmou a decolagem Vinicius
?
That was incredible. Enough to put you off flying for good. Where was this?
the sun is always shinning above the clouds.
i love airplane that's why i get aeronautical engineering 😍😍😍😍😍 i'm going to deal with this weather someday 😍😍😍
I was landing through the butt end of a storm. Plane was bumping around, felt like it took forever to land. My palms was like a first date when I was 18....
Glad I wasn't going through this storm
i would have been so scared
This flight had to be delayed a ton I once was at BWI and my flight on southwest was originally apost to take off at 7 pm but it got delayed all the way back to 11:30 pm. And it was in this kindov weather. So take that people who say you never takeoff in the us in this kind of weather :-)
That happenend to me once in mid-air returning home from Florida - (Walt Disney report and parks) on jly 2,2001 there was lotsa lightning and tornadic weather over northern Georgia ands South Carolina. Freaky flightday.
What extraordinary footage! City lights so visible. Well done, Mr. Lopes. Above the Equator, such dark clouds are present only in the southernmost cities, such as Miami. Above the heavy clouds, still daylight! A feast for the eyes.
Thank you for posting.
Cool thunder and lightning effects ;-) The quality isn´t that bad at all - compared to the major number of vids on utube...
Thank you
Thank you.
amazing clip
awesome video, must have been pretty scary though right? some amazing looking sky around 9:00
This new gen flight simulator looks great. It seems so real!
Greetings from Tin in Ferrol - Spain
They do have a choice ! Safety is number 1 priority and ALL airlines enforce it
In the cockpit, they have instruments that sill tell you if there is a windshear up ahead
Really Great.....
