Nothing sounds better than Thunderheader! I put a set on my 2024 Road Glide. I had them on my 2009 Street Glide as well! Love em!
it does sound Amazing i run the outlaw pipe i think the outlaw sounds better just my thought though.. either way that pipe sounds Sick on that CVO

Thunderheaders just sound the best
The thunderheader definitely wakes it up! I would go with a Khrome werks outlaw 2 into 1 exhaust. Thundermax ECM Tuner and S&S 475 cams or Zippers . That CVO is 🔥
S&S 475 is old tech. These M8's should have stuff like Star or RedShift in them. That's what really takes advantage of the head design of the M8. Also the new bikes don't have tunes available for them just yet but when they do it's going to be awesome.
Sounds alot better. It's good to see that some previous exhaust still have clearance for the new cam cover with the added sensors.
That's the last time those Thunderheaders will ever look that good. The coating on THs just dont wear well at all. But they are the best sounding exhaust hands down. The only thing that comes close are D&D FatCats.

Looks and sounds a lot better. I just got my black CVO ST last Thursday and I ordered the Khrome Werks Outlaw Eclipse 2 into 1 and it’s on back order for the next 3 weeks. I can’t wait to get these stock exhaust my bike. I put the tinted heat deflectors on and I’m hoping I won’t have clearance issues. I have a Khrome Werks Aggressor system on my ‘23 Road Glide Special and I have the heat deflectors with no clearance issues. I hope everything fits up the same. I’m looking forward to more content on the CVO ST.
I got a burns stainless pipe and cam pushrods cuffs stay tuned also a T Max tuner….

Bikes color scheme is so sick
These are louder than stock, but not by much. This thunderheader exhaust isn't something I'd put near the "loud pipes save lives" category. Thunderheaders are for someone that doesn't want ear plugs in when riding. They sound nice though, but aren't close to the sound/loudness of Reinharts or Cobra Exhaust.
The H.O. engine has a special grind camshaft that isn't used in a stage kit or sold separately.
Funny… I just traded y 2020 Patriot in on a 24 CVO ST… same suspension set up… great trade up
I just purchased a new ST and I have a vibration around 2800 RPM to 3000 RPM wondering if you have experienced this yourself. Look forward to hearing some information.

Did they change something on the 2024 m8 ECU or something?
Technically you should tune it with the 2 into 1 pipe, however on the new 24's they compensate enough for the pipe without a tune. However, as soon as we can tune this bike with the PV, we will be tuning it. I'm not a fan of the SE tuner that is the only tuner available for these bikes as of now.

Can you tell me how the thunderheader is like on the freeway? Is it loud at low rpm’s at highway cruising speeds. Loud at higher rpm’s is ok when passing but I do not want hear a loud pipe all the time while on long road trips. I am thinking about getting one for my 2022 road glide st. I very much like the looks. Thank you.
It's not that loud at lower RPMs
So I live in Cali and just bought the white ST with a 7 year warranty. If I tune it, it’ll flag it. With it already having a high flow air cleaner, do I really need the download/tune? I’ve been told it should be fine. I understand it’ll run fine for now but over the long haul is it going to burn up? Could the ECM recognize different o2 numbers and flag it? Thunderheaders has always been my favorite sounding pipe hands down and would love to switch.

I'm so torn about replacing the stock exhaust! I don't like the sewing machine sound, but I think it's a travesty to lose that cvo badging and carbon fiber tip. Hopefully an aftermarket exhaust will come out with both great sound and stock looks.

@@cobralife0417 actually decided to go with stealth 2into 1 and a S&S 475 cam, but I have to wait until someone comes up with a tuner. The gold pipes look like they were made for this golden pearl color.
@noresponse 475 on a 121? The stock cam is a 511. You'd be putting a smaller cam than stock. That motor is made for a larger cam. I was recommended a CR512 by Wes from Cycle Rama. Just waiting for a proper tuner to be released

I'm installing one on my CVO ST but had issue with it hitting the rear brake pedal pivot point. The stock pipe has an indentation to clear it. What did you do?
We used a hammer on the pipe and dented it in a little just so that there's enough clearance not to hit the rear brake arm.
Does the thunder header use the stock exhaust flanges? And does it bolt to the head flush like the stock pipe does? I have the d&d on my 24 now and it has the flanges already on the head pipe and there’s a gap in between the head and flange and I can’t stand it.
The Thunderheader bolts up like the D&D Pipe.. They don't use the stock flanges..

What did you use for a tuner to dyno it? I can’t find a tuner that has a mapping to go to 2 into 1 for the vvt
We didn't tune the bike. Also, this bike does not have the VVT engine.
Is that a decal on your side cover? Congrats on the bike, just got a 24 myself. Can't wait to add some goodies!

The front header pipe fits tight by the rear brake arm pin, other than that it bolts right up with no issues. Bike performs great with the new pipe too! No tune needed.

Yes, it's quieter.. Because it doesn't have as much compression as my bike..

Is this pipe quiet at highway speeds ? I ran a bassani road rage the 3 on my 21 road glide loved the pipe but after several hours of riding where it was mid length and stopped under the right saddle bag it would echo off of the pavement and bag back into your helmet and on long ride the drone of it would where you out . Looking at going to this exact pipe on a 23 road glide st want sound but hoping it will kind of put it all behind me
The stock pipes look so good. But they sound terrible. Hate to have to swap them out.

How is the fit and finish on this exhaust? I would like to run one but read so many negative reviews on poor craftsman ship. Poor finishing and rusting etc.

Good I’m glad it works harley is stupid for telling me it won’t fit they have argued with on so much stuff and I seen all American cycles with it now I’m ordering one for my 24 pretty sure cams will work on non vvt as well cause the cam chest is still the same. Just no tuners other than Harley 💩

If truth be told, literally anything would sound better than the stock mufflers. I’m not that impressed with the sound of these pipes, but I prefer them to the stock. It sounds like you have a choice to be quiet around your own neighbourhood with the new ones. They’re not ignorant.

Why r the 2 nuts on the rear muffler brackets on the bottom of the bracket close to the muffler & not on top of the bracket where they normally go? Are they set up different w this exhaust?

Not sure what Cam is in it from the factory, but it is definitely bigger than the cam that comes in the 121 with VVT.. As you can hear from the video lol

Taking out the baffle is not a good thing , you loose back pressure!
There is a good video(2 parts) by UA-camr “Live Love Ride Eat” showing how to remove the end caps, reducer and some packing from the mufflers on the new CVO RG ST.
Im trying to get used to the new look of these bike but some of the angles look horrible!

Looks like chit with one pipe, unbalanced and to be honest, that whole pipe looks lame. No style simply a noisey black drain pipe. Ruins that beautiful bike.
