  • I took a leap y’all. I tried the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. Today’s video is a first impression video and demo using this product. Does This Work on TEXLAXED hair (16 weeks post relaxer)?? Yes, I said it… 16 weeks. Wahh, I need to get to the salon ASAP lol!
    I must say, I was skeptical of this thing at first and wondered whether it could SAFELY blow dry thick, coarse relaxed hair. You guys know I use the tension method when blow drying my hair, but I wasn’t sure this product was going to get my hair straight.
    Well, it did and I’m super excited about it! Stay tuned to the end to see how I did it. I give helpful tips on how to best use the hair dryer throughout the video.

      I recently brought the kipozi from amazon works great. But I do think the babyliss is by far the best just pricey!

    I’m currently transitioning from relaxed to natural hair and I love the results of this blow dryer on you 😍 I live in Nigeria and we’re on Lockdown but I’m getting this as soon as it’s all over. I’ll hopefully retain more length by that time. Thank you again Alexis 😘

    Alexis girl you were missing your hair huh lol. Time to enjoy it for a litfle while. Glad that your hair is doing so well. I wouldnt worry about the roots bc youre stretching your relaxer and the most important thing is keeping the roots moisturized so you dont experience breakage because when stretching the line of demarcation becomes very fragile. Very informative video as always. Thanks.

      JA C SA Hahahaha I was!! Can you tell? Lol! I’ve been loving having it out. I will probably put her back into hibernation mode in another week or two to protect that demarcation line like you said. But for the time being I’m enjoying touching my hair! Definitely keeping it moisturized. Thanks for watching as always, my love! ❤️

    Looks great!! I still haven't picked this up but I plan to, I'm just waiting for a sale, lol. The review I saw on the paddle brush version showed that the heat on the dryer only came out of the very top so I think this one is better. Thanks for the review!! How warm is the cool setting? One of the reasons I wanted it was because it has a cool setting instead of a shot button.

      Kalisha J You’re so welcome! And thank you my love ❤️ Girl, I hear you on the sale lol. I wish I had a code for you guys, but you know lol that takes time 😂😂 So just a heads up, the air flow on this is similar to the flat one. Heat only comes out of the two short sides of the oval and only uses like half of the vents on each side. But trust me, you don’t need the extra heat. It perfectly distributes heat and your hair feels so healthy afterwards. And I feel ya on the cool setting! It’s like a chiller warm, like a luke warm, but the longer you let it run it continues to warm up to a true warm. So, that’s not so great. But usually you don’t use that setting for very long anyway. Hope that’s helpful! Xoxo

    Your textlax results makes me want to texlaxed my hair. Im just not sure how to get the same result and maintain it

    • @AlexisKimberlyy
      @AlexisKimberlyy  4 роки тому +2

      Eniye Mission Thank you hun! It’s tough to maintain I must admit. I always recommend a professional, but if you wanna do it on your own you can always do a strand test first or use textured human hair to practice. Consistent relaxer stretches and consistent application time will yield the best results. Xoxo

      I actually was able to achieve her same result but what I did differently because I was soooo scared is, I mixed the relaxer with conditioner and oil. So I have the best of both worlds . Hope this helps

    I will never use a blow dryer after purchasing this tbh lmaooo. It gives me a nice blowout. It will not give you a sleek Brazilian blowout duhhhhh because of our natural/kinky hair but it will give you a nice blowout for kinky hair. A def must have

    I recently bought a Revlon brush and I am very happy with it. I have curly hair and after using this brush they are perfectly straight and smooth, but unfortunately the ends are always very curled and look like ☂️. Am I doing something wrong?
