Played this beautiful song a million times when the love of my life walked out on me. I was heartbroken. But I can listen to it now and smile. Everything happens for a reason.
To be honest, I have ALWAYS felt that 2am is the RIGHT timing for this song..... its very much silent and peaceful timing for this song ..... I have tried different times BUT best time for that is 2am in studyroom.
Here I am this fine Friday April 12th 2024 listening to Nana. I've been listening to her since I was a young teenager and I'm 64 years old now. I've had the pleasure of seeing her 3 times in person.
Remember Mistrals Daughter and this song from the 80’s, life was happier then, great TV, great music. Find myself looking to the past too much these days because now isn’t happy or great.
❤ Only love can make a memory Only love can make a moment last. You were there And all the world was young And all its songs unsung, And I remember you then, When love was all, All you were living for, And how you gave that love to me. Only then I felt my heart was free, I was part of you and you were all of me. Warm were the days and the nights of those years, Painted in colors to outshine the sun. All of the words and the dreams and the tears Live in my remembrance. Only love can make a memory, Only love can make that moment last, Life was new There was a rage to live, Each day a page to live, And I remember you then, When love was all, All you were living for, And how you gave that love to me. Only then I knew my heart was free, I was part of you and you were all of me.
Friday 3rd Nov. I sang this very moving and significant song created by Nana to my second son at age 44yrs last September 2023 because it meant so much to me day he was born and how he ‘gave that love to me’ and still does. A thousand thanks Nana you are a diamond the world knows you glisten constantly. Patricia
One of my father's favorite songs and artist. Our childhood home was filled with Nana's magical voice. Then I played it often while he was in the last stage of his life. Now I play it at his final resting place...considering it my and my wonderful father's song. Thank you Nana for being so worthy of singing this song to the best father any daughter could hope and wish for.
This song keeps going through my head recently. I remember it the first time around and think it is because I lost my dear husband a couple of years ago 😢
Love this video. Still singing at 87. No one surpasses her. Best selling female artist of all time, even exceeding Madonna. Not bad for a shy girl from Greece. 🇬🇷
Ths is a beautiful song. I remember it reaching number 2 here in Great Britain in 1986. What a great achievement. Well done, Nana. Very warm greetings from Great Britain.
I remember that too. Nana used to make a lot of singing appearances on British TV in the 70s,mainly on shows my parents watched. A teacher at junior school seemed to have adopted her style with the way she wore her long dark hair and her glasses. We used to get a different form teacher dedicated to us each year, all women,as well as a specific classroom. She was the youngest and most easy-going one, ands in that year 1974-75 we were in the modern, light and airy, prefab extension at the back of the school instead of one of the old rooms that ringed the hall in the Victorian main building. Reminds me of borrowing Ladybird books from the in-class library, walking home with various art creations and how no-one accidentally or foolhardily opened their wrists for an in-class blood spatter with those deadly craft knives. I can almost smell the Copydex glue now.
This tune is me and my late wife favourite. Listening 👂 now and made self 😢as she pass away 1st may 2022. We use look at each otber while this beautiful tune played 😢

Giovanni
Best time to listen to this beautiful song is between 2am - 3am specially if you are reading something or driving or simply sitting alone watching stars on the sky......
The beautiful person Nana Mouskouri with her beautiful voice, also a very talented entertainer and performer sings this beautiful, classic and melancholy song perfectly! This song truly belongs to her! I have always loved Nana Mouskouri! I was born in 1978 in the United States. This is the first time I ever heard this beautiful song or seen this beautiful video! I love the song and video both! Thank you for posting and sharing this!
Yes only love ! The words they say she couldn t handle the situation. It s so heavy, but i am still on earth and i will living there with the most beautiful woman i ever meet.
I used to love Nana's show in days gone...this has to be one of the most beautiful love songs ever and what it makes it even more special is that its sung by Nana....she has the voice of an angel...I loved the fact that she wore her glasses....
I woke up with another song but this was My childhood song I’d sing to my family and when I was away on holidays I’d sing this and everyone stopped talking because I’d sing this in key I’m crying now😅 remembering this, this song has so much feelings for me, it’s in my very fabric of being, they don’t make songs like this anymore, I was lucky enough to see her live on Cardiff and she sand one song without a mic, and she was like an opera singer, so underrated of a singer
We played this song at my mom's cremation in 1992. My dad passed away on December 10, 2021 and out of love for both parents, this song is also played at my father's cremation
Same. Wish my mum was here. She died on Mother's Day. She was my best friend. I'm crying now, but she was so ill, I had to let her go.😓 I'm grateful to God that she had time with her grandchildren.
I love the song this lady sing . White rose & only love . I have listened to her since I was a young child. Now an old age pensioner. Thank you for all the love you give out when singing
Part of our lives in the 60s and 70s - sister played her LP often in the house and I learned her _White Rose Of Athens_ on the tin whistle. Saw her in concert in Nottingham's Royal Centre in 1989. That night she sang in many languages (Irish included) but only gathered the crowd with her when she sang in her native Greek: her visit was a brief happy moment for the large Greek community in Nottingham. She wouldn't be a major singer in the wider horizon but she stuck with her own timeless values. 🙇♂

Estupendo concierto!
Theme from Mistrals Daughter and only one Nana with the golden voice.
What possessed me to look up Nana Mouskouri at 2 in the AM I will never know but what a beautiful woman, I remember love.
Doing the same thing now!
Sometimes the voices in the head lead you to good things 👍. Thinking about my dad brought me here
To be honest, I have ALWAYS felt that 2am is the RIGHT timing for this song..... its very much silent and peaceful timing for this song ..... I have tried different times BUT best time for that is 2am in studyroom.

This lady, Nana Mouskouri, is one of a handful of real, talented singers. As different from today's worthless screechers as Noon is from Midnight.
One of the most beautiful voices in the world. Why she is virtually unknown in America is beyond comprehension.
