The Brunswick Zone series have lots of meaning to me. I bowled in my first men's league with my dad with the Combat Zone. I bowled my first 700 series with the Classic Zone. (rolled a 279 in that series). Since the Zone series was discontinued, I switched to Strom/Roto Grip and had my best series, 789, using combo of Storm Dimension/Roto Grip Cell Pearl. Still waiting for my first 300 though. That will be the ball that will be framed for life though ...
The ball that I shot my highest scores with and could always count on when I was either lost or when I needed a ton of shape and continuation... Storm Xfactor Vertigo. If you can find one, I recommend getting it. Phenomenal ball. Keep in mind that I had to quit bowling eight years ago, but that was my favorite ball of all time.
I still have my original one. It's saved in a bag. Resurfaced too many times and won't get the weight hole plugged. But yeah, it's the best ball I ever owned. Had highest season averages with it when it originally came out.
Man, the Sky Rocket was my first proper reactive ball and I still adore it now. So I'd say that's my baby! I'd definitely say the Hy-Road is my favourite ball though! Gorgeous blue block coloured ball!

You guys got me hooked. I love the explanations, adjustments, and even when misses occur which is almost as important as the balls descriptions. We all miss from time to time and good to know how the ball performs when we don't.
I had like 5 storm erasers. It was the first ball I drilled multiples of and they all rolled great for me. Ironically never had an award score with any of them lol
since I started bowling in leagues the Pitch Black was my first ball to have drilled and it has been a great pickup for me even after buying several more bowling balls its the ball that i trust the most
My favorite ball(s) I've ever had is the Code X. For me personally, it is perfection, color, scent, shape... anyway I'm really excited about the Dark Code -- its not quite the same but maybe with a little finish change I could fall in love again. LOL
Loved mine. Left it at my dads when I stopped bowling for a while and I went to go get it, found it it had cracked (not sure how and didn’t ask) and my dad threw it away.

My meaningful ball is the 900 Global Boost. It’s the first reactive resin ball I bought (used) and it was a monster for me when I bowled one hand, no thumb. Now im a two hander and I can’t plug/re-drill it again for my new PAP. Instead of selling it, I retired it to the case. Forever in my heart, Bertha.
The first sanctioned 300 I ever threw in 2008 was with the OG Game Breaker, only a week after I had it punched up. Even though its since been retired, I still have it on my shelf with the other retired pieces. Still one of my all time favorite balls.
The ball that means the most to me is the original Brunswick Zone. It was my first reactive ball. I must have thrown 3,000+ games with it, including my first 300.
The ball that I have an attachment to is the Black Widow Gold. I recorded my best game with it at 267 and I’ve always had such an attachment to that ball and the entire Black Widow line. Just picked up a limited edition Black Widow Red and can’t WAIT to try it out!
would really like to see you hit these shiny pieces with a 2 or 3k pad just to knock the polish off since most people just sand them for tournament conditions.
Thanks for the review of these balls. Have had good luck with the Code X, but not so much with the Code Black. Picked up the Axiom Pearl which is excellent for backend moves. Lost my IQ Tour 30 due to cracking. Got a Hustle RAP as replacement and it's similar on dry, but skids too much. Got out my Lights Out and it still snaps nicely. Wish they still made the Emerald IQ as I'd buy one in a second. Good job Jungo!
The first ball I had was an Brunswick avalanche urethane. I really felt like I knew exactly how to handle that ball. Almost bowled 300 with that ball. Got cracked in a move and now have a Karma I’m trying to get back into bowling with and just feel lost. Wish I had a pro shop like JR pro near by.
U-dot series, the slate U-dot was the first ball I avg 200+ with, drop it smooth on the ten, turn around, hope for carry, rinse and repeat. bowled multiple no-tap 900 series with it. Wish I had it now, might be good now since I am throwing 2-handed.
Had a Roto Grip Critical Theory as my first ball ever after coming from a Tropical. Loved this ball so much, bowled with it 3 years straight on every tournament :D
I still use the infinite theory and avg a 218 with it being 12 yearold ball lol, wish they would bring back the triliptic core one more run it was so good
Jungo has like 3 weeks worth of UFO Alert footage he has to edit through, thats why its taking so long because he has to choose which of the straight 480 strikes he got in a row.
Motiv desert tank. It helps me just play near 1st and 2nd arrow when I'm lost with other balls and opening up angles is not working. Shot 279 and 290 with it. I can also shoot spares with it if my urethane hooks at the end of pattern.
Would’ve liked to see the Dark compared to the Code Black but really good video! Jung is finally back throwing the Storm balls so that’s always a plus!
Sure Lock is still my favorite ball of all I've had, although I carried a higher average with the IQ Tour Pearl several years ago. On today's oil though, the IQ has become difficult to be consistent with.
The Columbia Enigma might be the ball that has a bit more meaning behind it than most other equipment I've utilized. When I was looking for new equipment, while the Enigma was new, Michael Hougan Jr wandered into the pro shop I was at. He asked what part of the lane I rolled, and my response was that typical, between 1st & 2nd arrow location. He went to look at the balls on the shelf and stated he would use the Columbia Enigma. That's the ball I acquired and I sure had a good time using it. Used it in conjunction with a Hammer Nail.
Radical Beyond Ridiculous caught my eye as my very first reactive ball. It stands as my most consistent and very enjoyable ball to throw. Helps that bright ass green is my favorite color, too.
Ebonite Predator was my first reactive ball. Bowled almost all my honor scores with it. Still have it, and could still use it, but after over 1500 games I finally decided to retire it.
So far, the ball that means most to me is the Hyroad X...threw my high game of 299 with it. No 300 yet! Any chance you guys will be reviewing the Electrify Solid? Keep up the great work!
The track Triton Elite is my all-time favorite ball. I was heartbroken when they discontinued it years ago then I got in a car accident and was out of bowling for nine years. I came back to bowling in 2019 and they remade the Triton Elite. I bought myself one my oldest son wanted one real bad because it was my favorite ball and then they discontinued them again so I bought myself another one that is sitting in the Box undrilled. Triton Elite has also become my son's go to ball.
My uncle got me into bowling and his ball at the time was the Brunswick danger zone when I got older he gave it to me but it was stolen out of my car... But then the vintage danger zone was released and I knew I had to get it and it's been in my bag ever since... Never hit the lanes without it
The RST X2 means a lot to me because I love that ball and I usually get my highest scores with that ball. I also love the new upcoming Night Road from Storm because of personal reasons
My first ball was a used lucid, and it did me very well in high school and i got my first honor score with it. It now sits on my dresser cracked because i refuse to throw it out. These days i cant keep the axiom out of my bag or hand wherever i go, it wasnt something i initially wanted to buy but it ended up being the lightning in a bottle i was searching for and ill have one or two stored away. Close but no cigar picks: black widow pink and electrify hybrid, the bwp was another lightning in a bottle i couldnt recreate because its a second drill ball that was once bryan goebels.
My son gave me his IQ pearl he got in college. He said it didn't do anything for him. So I plugged it and took it to one of my leagues and in 3 weeks I shot 2 300's with it. That year his team got 8th place in college nationals and beat out Wichita state.
You guys are great I’ve been bowling a long time yet you provide the best explanation about the balls and what to expect. My question is I play in different house’s with one heavy oil and the other light with quick breakdown. For the heavy I bring the Realty, Proton Physix and VIP Affliction where as the light I start with the Rst V1, Parellax Affect and Knock Out also have Zen and UC2. I just purchased the Dark Code instead of the Alert and didn’t have the reaction I was expecting so I’m confused as to where it would best fit without moving out of my comfort zone. Any help or suggestions from you guys is greatly appreciated. By the way I’m a low rev and speed bowler that loves to stand from 20-25 and play around 15 at the arrows. H

The code red? It super smooth, almost too smooth as I would always assume it kick in the backend and just wouldn't. Code black was definitely sharper and dark code is the sharpest

When I was just starting adult leagues, I threw my very 1st 300 with a AMF Angle Plus, that's the ball that will always be near & dear to my heart.
Whichever ball I throw my first 300 with will be my favorite ball of all time
Hyroad Pearl was my first bowling ball and will always have a place in my heart

Absolutely my ball is the Proton PhysiX. The ball, including way more practice has allowed me to improve my average right around 20 pins.

Axiom Solid was the first ball I got returning to bowling and learning to throw hook! What a great ball.
Even as a "Motiv guy", the Ebonite Mission Domination ($250k) holds a special place to me. Still have it 10 years later.

The ball for me is the Columbia Tec Messenger. I still haven't in the bag , and in my newer equipment Motiv Tank Blitz or my Pitbull Bite.

I miss the Storm charge series. My depth charge is still my go to right out of my bag and wish I still had the super charge to compliment it.
