Hi, please suggest a good dosa tawa ...every year i have to buy a new non stick tawa...also it's not healthy... bought cast iron tawa but dosa sticks... looking for a guide on this thx
Hi Barkha, pls do not use nonstick dosa tawa. The coating wears off really easily and then it is extremely harmful. I use a cast iron tawa- typically 2 reasons the dosa can stick to tawa - 1. Not enough heat- make sure for the first minute or so, you heat it up well in high heat with oil on it. 2. Batter not at room temperature- cold batter will always stick. So try to keep batter out about 1-2 hours early. Only in the beginning you need oil - subsequently you can cook without oil once the tawa is nicely heated.
Hi rchngaonkar! I normally prefer to use stainless steel ladles itself for stainless steel cookware. This brand amzn.to/3f0mn8O has many shapes and sizes. For cast iron, I use wooden ones like this amzn.to/3RSvWVD. I do not prefer to use silicon ones - which seem to gain popularity these days.
Hi Dee, 5 ply can reduce the consumption of oil as heat distribution is uniform and your thick base will not burn due to excess heat. Nickel or not depends on the brand and what type of stainless steel they use. 430 steel has no nickel - but has limited uses as I mention in the video.
Hi Barkha, there is little differentiation amongst kettles, but here is the best currently amzn.to/3ixazcS. with a cool exterior, unlike other kettles which can be too hot to touch.

Since in triply, aluminium. Is sandwiched. Wil thr b no harm to vessels although manufacturer claims it as dishwasher safe
Hi Lakshmi, good question on the buy-back - I have not seen any brand do that yet. 18/10 and 18/8 - only difference is in the quantity of nickel. Both are OK. As long as aluminium is not exposed - it is fine to use in the dishwasher. In case of Triply, it is sandwiched between stainless steel layers - so it's ok.
Can you recommend which brand of cookware to purchase which is dishwasher safe and can be taken abroad ? as Hawkins has mentioned it does not recommend using dishwasher in its manual.
Hi Saumya, there are certain parts you should not put in the dishwasher (like the lid, gasket and the regulator). The main cooker can be put, Hawkins only says it may get discolored. Here for your reference www.hawkinscookers.com/WebPCMain.aspx?cat=FSS. I use the Hawkins pressure cooker and put in the dishwasher. They ask you not to put the lid mainly because of risk that some particles may get stuck in the pressure nozzle. If not hawkins, you can consider this amzn.to/2YajdXx or amzn.to/3uAxRn6 - which claims their cookers are dishwasher safe

@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks a lot , even I got the same Faber 14 plate setting, really loving it
Plz. Suggest which kind of ladles (material)can be used for these steel untensils, to make them scratch free as well food grade and dishwasher safe
Hi Lakshmi! In general - stainless steel ladles are good and dishwasher safe - but can cause some scratches. Alternative is to use Wood - but that's not dishwasher safe :) Silicone is an option - it is food grade and dishwasher safe - I personally don't prefer to use it, but know lot of people who find value in it.
@@TheGrapevineIndia I m also using stainless steel utensils but dots is created at inner bottom surface of Triply cookware after regular six month usage like aluminium cookware due to soft surface.
Are these brands are nichel free
Hi Krishna Vattikuti! Only this one is amzn.to/3C1ly8w
Not included nickel free ...
Hi what about vinod brand
Hi Barkha, most of Vinod's Triply products are good. They do have some 'no ply' products which are not so good.
Cannot be as per bergner triply products...these r best...far better than Vinod...Stahl.
mam in triply is there any chance to get the middle aluminium coating get react with with food
Not unless there is a dent in the stainless steel layer and aluminium is exposed. Which is quite rare.
