@@MsMiDC You could also just do secret packs. Other games give you a choice of 3 different packs or something. So they could just do what these guys just did by letting everyone choose packs from a selection of the secret packs. They could even make it random packs to choose from for everyone involved or just throw random packs at people in general.
So many different ways to do it. They HAVE to add it one day. I am sure masterduel just got release a year early and will be brought up to speed soon enough.

Love the series! However, just one thing, I think MBT's audio needs to be louder to match yours, since at a loud of times you're significantly louder than MBT, and during the first pull turned the audio up for MBT only to be hit hard with the sound difference when it switched to your first 10.

I remember doing the solo mode with Zefra and Dinomist. All Zefra seemed to do was protect a certain archetype of monster. Which I’m pretty sure weren’t in the deck. Results: lose a lot until you draw a lightning storm.
The Zefra loaner was the only deck I just let sit there. I simply couldn’t win

@@FecalMatador you’re not drawing lightning storm hard enough. But seriously, the painter canvas monsters, Zefra, and vanilla red eyes vs desperado barrel dragon, are the worst matchups I’ve ever seen lol.
@@julvandy6947 ironically, I did it pretty easily on my 2nd attempt on my alt account, and on the main it’s like more than half the deck was bricky with the Zefra monsters. Dinomist by itself is bonkers. Zefra is doo doo.

Wouldn't it be better to do the same as MBT, use your real account and keep track of what you get. So that you don't lose out on cards and royals?
I mean you'd have to waste your Sr mats on crafting a card for the archetype and waste the gems on the pack if you don't want it
@@gstellar96 30 Sr mats isn't a lot, especially since they open 20 packs and have the potential to regain all those mats easily. Also, Dzeef usually buys the games either way, so not really a waste at all.

Why open for cards that he might already have in his main account tho, just a waste of money for a small chance to get Royals
@@GioXYZ He would also have all the mats from the extra cards. He would have even less use for the cards in a alt account, it's not a pokedex we are talking about here. In the off chance he gets a royal, it would be better to use the main acc. If he get a bunch of UR and SR, it would be better to use the main acc. In this case he is only allowed to use the cards he got from the packs and must therefore keep track of the cards anyway, so the only reason left as to why he would use an alt acc is to get the discounted gems. Which I of course understand is a valid reason, it just that I thought MBT also had a very valid reason and wanted to bring it up in case Doug hadn't thought of it.
Only when I see how NBT is bullying Dzeef do I realise how bad of a player Farfa is.

I’ll be honest, i loved episode 1 because it felt like both doing the best out of a bad position. But the change so that they are not taking from the same pack seems like the wrong direction. I’m expecting a lot more weeks of “i guess i had the better pack” without the adaptability they would get doing a more traditional draft format
I agree. It’s still entertaining and sometimes even funny, but pulling from the same pack is better to me. Cause otherwise this is just Saga but with MBT

Orcusts are very good and easily mixed with other decks, specially other World Legacy decks, when I started playing Orcust + Krawlers I was surprised by the way Orcusts just give you advantage so early on and with a resource loop even
I can't wait for mbt to get the tribrigade pack and MBT get the war rock Amazoness pack

Loving this series!!!!! Although I wonder if it'd be fun to not look up the packs once they're spun i.e. base your choice on the name. Just thinking back to the first episode imagine thinking you're getting the Elder Entity stuff and you end up with God cards and Exodia!
Could you do something with the chat when you open cards? I can't see the last card in the pack. MBT has his transparent which seems to work pretty well.

I kind of love how angry Doug is at Testament's existence, especially since most Crusadia decks don't even play it. Drawing four is great and all, but you've usually won by the time you'd be able to activate it.
Kinda sad funny that Yugioh is at a point where drawing 4 after battlephase is a waste of a card. Who needs another turn amirite?
@@Merilirem Not really. It doesn't work well in Crusadia because Crusadia is usually played as an OTK deck. In 90% of other decks, that wouldn't be a problem.
In other decks, the problem would be that it's too slow and it's a win-more card. Going first, it's useless, and going second, you'd rather have a card that helps you actually break apart your opponent's board most of the time.
Still, it would probably see some play or at least experimentation if it was in another archetype. Especially a slower control deck.
@@ano2846 It's certainly not bad, but there's a reason most Crusadia lists still don't run it.
And I'd guess that a large part of it comes down to the fact that Power accomplishes basically the same thing, but is better in more situations.
Also, it's usually not too hard to play through an Ash, especially if you chain block properly. And I'm pretty sure Testament doesn't stop you from being hit with Nibiru or Veiler or any other effect negation when attempting to leave the Main Phase.
So I know this is a sealed format so nothing applies to the game in general, but why are so few people playing Orcust this seems quiet strong.
Idk i kinda liked the mirror match format but i guess we'll see where this goes. I do enjoy both of you anyways so i will keep watching
I think that drawing from the same pack (like in episode 1) is better or at least a bit more balanced as the powerlevel between packs can be very high. If you want to stick to this format it could be a good idea to give the looser the choice if he wants to pull from the same pack as the winner or go for the other one.
Giving the loser the choice gives no incentive for winning though, going with this idea maybe have the loser choose the pack first then the winner can choose to copy or go for a new pack

I bought Shaddoll pack with 5k or 6k gems. But the only UR I get is Zefra cards. I remember how bad this deck when I try it with Zefra Dinomist in story mode. That's why I'm very mad and decided never bought this pack again. I give up on building Shaddoll deck.

I think loser should get pick or pass instead of winner. That gives it more of a fair feeling.
Can’t bag on a low sr/ur 10 pull in limited. Those sr/ur pulls can stop you from getting play sets of n/r cards to make the main deck tick
Love this series so far! Would it be too far from the theme to give the previous loser 1 craft to compensate for the wheel choice advantage? Or maybe 1 and 2 for the winner and loser respectively? They could be from the pack only, but there's also interesting opportunities for extra deck staples or something.
I prefer the random myself. Not a fan of crafting unless its part of an ongoing collection series like the other series they do already. For this one i think it would just be more fun to have random 1 off duels with fully random cards.
I think it would be cool if you took a minute to explain your thoughts about the pack, how playable the cards are inside, which ones are important, etc before you open it. Would add a bit of educational value to those videos for new players and add some context to the pack opening that follows

As a crusadia player I knew Dzeef was screwed when MBT decided to draw from the pack, you can play Crusadia with chump change since the deck is so cheap with only 2 SRs and 1 UR required for it
