Guitar Lessons with Michael Paget lead guitarist of Bullet for my Valentine from his Rock House DVD Leads & Riffs, Creative Concepts for Metal www.RockHouseMethod.com
Dear The Rock House, I'm sorry for these guys who hate on Padge just because he's not an "ultimo shredder" or whatever. Padge is a great guy and he gives good lessons and advice, has amazing writing skills and Bullet For My Valentine is my favourite band and my biggest influence, so thank you for bringing this DVD to people like me who appreciate him. I just went all out on MortaniusTaijou so maybe his closed mind will begin to open. God bless and thanks again!
You are so Right, Rock House
Love his fret inlays :)
Padge is definitely one of my favorite guitarists of all time. i want this dvd so bad but can never find it anywhere. they have them at guitar center but i live like an hour and a half away from one :(
paget rock!!!
@MrElken i really want this dvd but all i know is that you can go online to look up bfmv tab!
@MrElken there is the tab book for Scream Aim Fire and Fever but i don't think they have one for The Poison
Does the dvd come with subtitels?
On the cd, does he only show you the solo's and riff's or it's the whole songs? if not i would like if there is a tab book for bfmv :)?
Crank it up and just give er a go haha
@therockhouse could you send me a DVD on you?
2023
@paultaters Dude, finally someone with some manners.
The flaming is not towards Paget, it is towards the assholes replying to my comments. Then it just gets too much and I would have probably gone over.
I hate BFMV, I am not hating those who like them, but to say that Paget is the best guitarist out there, bullshit!
Sorry but you have to accept he is an amateur as a guitarist, as a musician that is solely up-to taste.
I have an open mind, I listen to Over the Rainbow for God's sake.
@SpectrumDisorder1 So you're calling me ignorant? Because how you worded it is not clear.
Ok lets be clear, when the person who is involved with writing a piece plays that piece, that is the way it is supposed to be play. NO ONE PLAYS SOMETHING THE SAME WAY TWICE. This is just the way he played the piece on this day. And yes it is not going to sound like the record beause we are not using all that technology that goes into records. This is moren raw. when they do a record you can double the guitar, you can just clip small pieces together to make one piece. and so on!
@HoratiuGuitar Troll speak English?
@MortaniusTaijou
I love all the musicians you've stated. However I'm a BFMV fan as well. Try to be a bit more open-minded. Its cool you dislike them, but i mean its been like a 4-5 page flaming rant. Padge isn't the worlds best guitarist, But he's good at what he does.
Hehehe, I am flattered that you are replying to me man, seriously.
I assure you though, that I am not one of those guitarists, trust me. I play Blues, Jazz, Arabic, and Metal in many of their variations; add to that Rusty Cooley is my teacher; the problems I am having are playing his legatos, but not his sweeps lol
True that everyone has something to offer, but to a certain extent.
If you are serious about sending me a free DVD which I would be humbled to receive, I will send you my address.
@MortaniusTaijou isn't it funny how ignorance gets you free dvds lol
I am comparing him, yeah true and it is kind of unfair but still I thought there were more difficult standards to go through to sign up someone.
I never said Alexi was perfect, he is faaaar from it lol.
oh hey, i just searched for emo music and nowhere i looked did i find bullet for my valentine... not under wikipedia, even. they're METALCORE. which IS a real musical genre, and NOT a "screamo" or "emo" band. either way, traditional EMO music is hardcore, from the 90s, and is influenced mainly by punk and is where the "core" part of metal and deathcore came from, metal + the blast beats and screaming of hardcore. most people just scream for an effect now adays, and arent actually influneced by
padge really isnt that bad. sure he does make mistakes but listen to a lot of alexis dvds, you see alexi screw up quite a lot as there too
@MortaniusTaijou mabye
but i am not going to start and argument so i am going to stop commenting now
I really appreciate the props but again I have to say you are one of those guitar players who are going to have problems progressing becuase your mind is closed. Just becuase someone is not Kiko or Rusty doesn't mean they don't have something to teach. NO ONE IS PERFECT not even Kiko. I will send you one of padges DVDs and you decide for yourself. The products does what it is intended to do and that is what is what it is all about. send me a message i will send you a DVD on me!
any EMO bands. either way, any one of those "EMO" artists could kick your ass, because THATS where moshing and walls of death REALLY started. people getting fucked up left and right and taking your hatred for the world out through music. sounds good to me. modern "emo" music is stuff like fall out boy, yatta yatta, and most are pop punk and not in any way shape or form hardcore. you are entitled to your opinion, yes. but make sure its an EDUCATED opinion. im sure anty one of those "EMO" hardcore
sigh, im very disappointed
Yeah...
I guess beginners could start with this if one likes emo music...
Sorry that is that nicest thing I could say. Seriously guys, you have Rusty Cooley and Kiko Loureiro, who are Gods of Metal and guitar, you also have and Alexi Laiho and Andreas Kisser who are also kind of legendary.
But this noob, who can't even hit 2 clean consecutive notes on a given scale?
Talk about falling a few levels...
