The personal growth and self-help industry has done a great job of leading people to self-awareness. But being aware of limiting beliefs and actually knowing how to unwind them are two very different things. David Bayer has made it his life’s mission to help people actually unwind their limiting beliefs. On this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu, David Bayer explains how to use visualization to figure out precisely what you really want, then breaks down the exact steps you need to take to get into a powerful, creative mindset in any situation.
    SHOW NOTES:
David asks how we can change the habitual methods of thinking that we are addicted to [2:35]
David describes how beliefs are formed and how beliefs trap people [3:48]
Tom and David discuss how to unwind limiting beliefs [6:40]
David advocates that what causes people to regress are thoughts that are simply untrue [11:35]
David advocates that all unbounded intelligence is all there is [15:11]
David and Tom discuss evolution, spirituality, and how to view the universe [17:59]
At any given time, you are only paying attention to what you believe [21:25]
David explains how to use visualization to figure out what you really want [22:16]
David and Tom discuss how indecision and procrastination stop people [24:45]
David shares his story of overcoming addiction [26:36]
David describes his spiritual journey through meditation and breath-work [29:55]
David explains the practice necessary to constantly shift into a powerful mental state [33:57]
David describes the exact steps necessary to shift into a powerful state [36:56]
David shares the impact he wants to have on the world [38:55]
    QUOTES:
“The fastest way for you to eradicate a limiting belief is to actually see the limiting belief as untrue. The moment that happens there is a reorganization in your brain. You can’t unsee it, once you see the lie is a lie.” [13:52]
“That which we tend to pay attention to is aligned with what we believe, and so that’s all we get.” [21:44]
“Most people know what they don’t want, but they don’t know what they do want.” [22:16]

      @Jonathan Bowen:
The last thing I would want to do after reading such a brainless comment is checking out his channel :-D
If I would take it seriously then I would have taken the time to elaborate on my answer.
The fact that I didn't invest more time speaks for itself.
He's not committing any crime. Just let him be.
Anyone who uses his/her discerment knows what this is about.
In my country we have a saying which goes "I'm not from yesterday". It means that you're not easily fooled :-D

When I was a child I was told by family that I was worthless, that I was not going to amount to anything, and was told I should not try to do anything. Since I was born with a ton of health problems instead of helping me, my family looked at me as I could not do anything. Instead of encouragement I was constantly discouraged. As a result my life went nowhere. This video opens my eyes. Wish I would have heard this 40 years ago. So now my brain is telling me I cannot start over again at 60. Now I know those are lies.

This episode was on fire!!! I just watched it twice today!!!
    Some takeaways for me:
"Believes are that which are true... to us." "The fastest way to eradicate a limiting belief is to actively see the limiting belief as untrue." "When you invest time in getting clear around something or imagining it, you build neuro-networks that represent the memory of an experience that has not happened YET!!!"
Six steps to get back into a powerful state:
    1. Notice when you move into a primal state.
    2. Know that what it causing you to move into that state is your own thinking (sympathetic nervous system).
    3. Take a look at what the thinking is.
    4. If it is moving you into a primal state, it might not be true.
    5. If that is not true, some form of the opposite must be true. What that might be?
    6. What evidence do you have for the fact that that would be true?

"..to actually see the limiting belief as untrue." This was very true of me. I BELIEVED that I was limited. In my attempt to "re-program" my beliefs, I came up with my own affirmation, which I revised several times. I humbly submit the first two paragraphs:
"I AM all and complete. I AM enlightened. I AM love. I AM wisdom. I AM understanding. I AM unique. I am an Immortal Spiritual Being having experiences in a physical world. I am grateful to the Universe for the love and wisdom that is already in my life. I attract the love and wisdom of the Universe so that I may better serve others and serve the Universe.
"I accept the people in my life as they are, not as I would prefer, since they are on their own journeys to enlightenment, and are playing their assigned parts, from which they learn, and from which I learn from them. The actions and beliefs of those around me, are only the reflections of what I once was. What I perceive as “faults” in others, are only the reflections of my own faults. The people in my life recognize the wisdom in me. My energy vibrations overpower their resistance, attract them to me, awaken their desire to learn from me, to follow my lead, and to align themselves with me as I lead by example. I offer them the opportunities to learn, to rise above ignorance, to rise above those around them, to grow in spirituality, and to strive for excellence. Whenever I enter a room or a building, those present are attracted to me by the energy vibrations that I radiate."
Regarding the "assigned parts" above, I quote Shakespeare:
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances. And one man, in his time plays many parts”. “As You Like It, Act II, Scene V” William Shakespeare (Francis Bacon) www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/you-it-act-ii-scene-vii-all-worlds-stage
Are we "players" who follow our pre-written scripts? Or can we revise our scripts to reflect who we REALLY are ?

    • @argileaustralia3854
      @argileaustralia3854 4 роки тому +1

Re your final para - yes, we can revise those deep inner scripts. .... it takes time to locate the TRUE deep core beliefs that have become our stumbling blocks, but when they are uncovered it is truly stunning. Then the 're-write' begins... cheers ...

I felt like Tom approached this interview like “okay, prove to me you know what you’re talking about.”
I don’t know if it was because of their differences on a Higher Power or what, but it was cool because it kind of forced him to explain things. At first he was throwing out big terms that most people don’t hear to much, but Tom kept digging to get more helpful explanations.

I had paused this interview to be loving and supportive to a team member by telling him my thoughts on his failure repeatedly and even brought up the topic of successfully dying from a planned suicide.
The moment I told him I saw NOTHING on the other side he became argumentative based on what I told him.
I asked him: Do you remember ANYTHING when you were in a coma for 17 days?
    He said I remember NOTHING.
    I said that's TRUE DEATH.
    EMPTINESS. NOTHING.
So anytime I do a medical procedure requiring anesthesia that's what I'm brought to by the hands of man.
So my goal is a NATURAL DEATH so I can make a TRANSITION not being drugged.
So every medical procedure I endure that involves anesthesia is a reminder of the mistakes I made to my natural health.
I'm reliant on a man to revive me. There can be many reasons why I'm not revived.
Therefore I have to remember daily the FAITH that awakes me from sleep.
Technically I die every time I go to sleep.
Sometimes I remember another realm. Sometimes I don't.
But when I wake up I have been resurrected into this existence one more time.
I can WASH RINSE REPEAT or do something different.
    Otro Dia, Otto Aventura
    Another day, Another adventure.
I have a chance daily to LIVE a NEW LIFE by being ONE PERCENT BETTER than the day BEFORE.
So dwelling on yesterday is a TRUE WASTE unless it is a step to LIVE BETTER.
I can say it to you and you will reject or accept MY TRUTH.
That's the frustration for a leader.
It's that TRUTH that let's me know if you are going to FOLLOW me in MINDSET.
I look for MINDSET more now in my team members more than EVER BEFORE.
You GET it or You don't.
I have to see progress or CUT THE TEETHER.
I no longer can AFFORD to waste time on those who don't want to MOVE FORWARD.
It wastes SO MUCH energy that can be GIVEN to someone else.
You are ONLY as powerful as your weakest LINK.
Two choices REPAIR and RESTORE that link or PREPARE or PREVENT it from being broken.
I choose being MORE selective when building a TEAM.

Results with no questions have been really outstanding - got solutions and resolved the issues. However, I am unsure why is it that I am unable to carry on with it for longer period of time. I am sure more practice is a way to make it automatic but is there any other solution/hack to make it automatic that would let me avoid the Drama and stress (which is quite painful) that I have to go through in the moment. WRONG at 16:25 - "The most important decision you make is whether you live in a friendly or hostile universe" - according to Einstein...you know what the real mindfuck here is?
That Einstein wasn't right on this one...it is BOTH...the Universe is hostile AND friendly at the same time. Much like Quantum Physic shows that light is a particle AND a wave (double slit experiment). The Universe can be hostile as fuck (volcanoes, earthquakes, viruses, death) and at the same time incredibly friendly (planet with precise position and tilt to allow biological Life, wonder of birth and the incredible tough force that drives living things to survive under the most perverted circumstances). THIS is what makes it so difficult to have clarity....certain things make you want to Live and love Life to it's fullest and others make me want to end it, because there is no sense in all of this...it's this duality that he refers to in his interview, that makes Life difficult to manage. Religion tried to solve this mindfuck by explaining it away with "God" and "Devil" - Yin-Yang, Karma and whatnot. I guess - in the end - we will have to come to terms and accept that lightness and darkness coexist and one cannot be without the other!

I have to admit feeling as I’m listening to this interview, that this guest is somewhat plagiarizing, or at the very least failing to acknowledge,Tony Robbins’ work in this area which down to the use of the word states etc. seems to truly simply re-present something that has been very well done by someone 40 years ago. Each one of us has a perspective that’s unique to bring to other peoples work, standing on the shoulders of giants, understood. But acknowledge?

All of the self help or motivation gurus get their information from what they learn off others before them and add what they find along their journey to be useful and true. If three people say the same thing but three different ways, you may only resonate with one of them or after hearing all 3 it truely sinks in. Personally I’m not a big fan of Tony Robbins but he helps a lot of people the world over so I’m glad he’s around

Most of these guys are using Tony’s work.
When you listen to Tony’s predecessors (NVP, Jim Rohn, ZZ, Nightingale etc.) you realize Tony is using many of their methods.
When you listen to them you realize they are secularizing the Bible, adding Greek/Roman philosophy, and a dash of psychology.
I do agree The “belief, action, results” cycle was close enough to have warranted a reference. 😏

@@elenashirley5346 Also, I am a follower of Dr Joe Dispenza who wrote "Change the Habit of Being Yourself", great book about exactly what he's talking about. But, there are not too many original thoughts/anymore, most of it does go way back to other people and sources as a couple others stated. They spoke of these concepts in books from the 1920's, as well. Yes, Maybe he should give them credit. I'm wondering why that would make us feel better, what belief system is that... When people write a book, they don't say, well..I'm not the first one to write a book but thought it'd be a great idea......I guess concepts are thought to be more..personal? Original? Interesting to think about. (Or overthink about in my case) lol! Great interview anyway!

The most tangible science we have today indicates that we rose up from blue and green algae......the true fact baced science never lies....people just don't like the truth about anything.... people will believe a story book before they believe what's right in front of them.....All we have is nature and Karma.....our creator is amazing......
