Yea id have to check but as a plumber i also have a handheld camers with a light and great quality for 250$(cad). And thats the ridgid kind so the fancy brand, u might get a cheaper one. Crazy
Lol. I have the same one and 2 others and never use them. I use an 8 dollar bore scope camera on my phone. Better than the Milwaukee, snap-on, and Mac tools ones I have.
Snapon is quite a company. I can buy a brand called Williams for 1/5 the cost, I can walk onto a snapon truck when it breaks. Williams is also the sister company to snapon and made on the same lines. Often they will test new designs on Williams or blue point for 3 to 5 years before they start a production run with snap on as the name.
If you want to use your tool purchases as a tax right you can IF you spend more than $15000 in the year your filing for on the federal taxes. I know in Rhode Island you can claim it as business expense if over $100000 in that year.
I had a Snap on camera before, but now I tried a Depstech inspection camera off Amazon. It is way better than the snap on one I had. Brighter light, better screen and cheap to boot. There are different ones , mine is a 5” screen and has a round orange button in the middle. I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it myself, but I highly recommend it
Meanwhile I bought a kleinscope from Home Depot for $40. Connects directly to my phone, has a light, and like a 12 foot lead. You don't always need to pay top dollar for something good. Mine can probably do everything this snap-on can and more for 1/20th the price...
This is a good unit. I've owned 2 versions of this and spent $1200 for it. Rigid makes one but the camera is huge, made for construction work. And FLIR makes some cool tools but way over priced compared to even Snap-on. The Snap-on scope I have is a couple models newer than the one being shown and has the camera wireless to the screen so you can get in those tighter areas. It has slots for 3 different size memory cards and has on board memory and I can record video on it. The short coming of the snap on cameras I have used is the camera head is 8mm and too big for some injector ports on small diesels which are 7mm. In my opinion this tool is the goat when inspecting things and places without a major tear down involved. Good luck have fun.
I have the exact same model I bought it as an upgrade but they seem to have an intermittent fault with the camera, i have had my scope about 5 years I think and I have replaced 4 cameras! Always the same fault, working one use, next use powers up but no camera feed, leave it two days and it works again! The cameras are to much to buy now so it has to be replaced with something newer and hopefully less hungry on cameras! Great video!
Mine I haven’t been able to get to come back to life. Sucks! My light works on the camera but no picture, it just shows the icon on the screen. There has got to be a fix to these things
JOHNS CUSTOM SAWS you can get a klien tools boroscope 10 ft adjustable light waterproof and plugs in your phone I believe it's 1080p for like 40 bucks at your local home depot... you paid $117 for a name buddy they saw you coming. Go get the klien it's way better
Not really when you release it cost $40 to produce and you can buy many different brands of boroscopes for under $50. $760 for this is unbelievable mark up
$120 and a wasted Saturday for the CHANCE of owning a tool that cost $50 from any reputable company, is a good deal to you? Bruh as a tradesman who has to buy his own tools.... dont waste your money on this crap, spend as little as possible, you're job is just a job. Save money for your wife, hobbys, etc
No offense but I'm pretty sure you know this already snap on his massively overpriced it's like trying to buy a lock from Graingers versus going to Home Depot to get the same lock it's usually 8 to 10 times for that 50 to $100 for a decent bore scope with high quality image and light that's adjustable that's normal get out of the Snap-on
Snap on are well built but LUDICROUSLY overpriced. I’d rather go buy kobalt and have to replace a tool once in the next 20 years and still only pay 1/4 of the price of one snap on piece.
I bought one of these second hand for £90. I later broke the camera part using it on a car... You can't buy them from anywhere other than snap on and they're around £500... Also, I designed a 3D printed hands free carry case for this model. Send me a message if you want the STL
I’m not a mechanic. I am a general contractor that remodel residential homes. Can someone explain to me why is Snap-On so expensive? I see videos of Milwaukee beating them often and this cam retails for $760 why?
If YOU replaced the screen for $20, why are you removing it from a priority mail envelop as if you've never seen it work before? Looks like click bait BS to me.
I agree it's a good deal but after being in the field for over 20 years and working on everything from weed eaters to earth moving equipment I've learned snap on is a trap MAC or Cornwell is just as good and if it's not it's got the same warranty and snapon cordless tools absolutely suck I'm not on the Milwaukee band wagon I like the DeWalt/Mac power tools
I can see why you think it's a good deal just because it's Snap-on but, Depstech makes a camera a lot nicer than that with a 30 ft camera cord for under a hundred bucks...js
Buy a tiny Bluetooth camera from eBay. tape it to a wired cable. Better quality and the setup is under $300. Snap on is a joke for this overpriced product.
There some very good quality cameras with way more length on the camera for a heck of a lot less. My endoscope was less then that a $100 bucks, take pictures and video with it
I went to harbor freight for a 9/16 metal drill bit and a auto smoke machine , walked out 300 dollars poorer , never got what i came for , they didnt have it ??
It's bullshit how stoked I am to see someone get snap-on gear so cheap. Those bastards are legal drug dealers! They don't only have a delivery service but bro comes to your job just 'incase' you need a hit.
A good deal? Lol I love snap-on tools as well but if I can get a camera that does the same thing for 30 dollars.. why would you throw your money away lol? only fan boys would pay it just to collect tools. That's just insane.
Words of wisdom on those bore scopes. The end of the camera used to be glued on therefore the end would fall off when put inside a cylinder. If that cylinder is hot enough to melt that glue it will fall off inside the motor and you won’t notice it. When you start the engine it will make a very distinct sound of the position slapping that piece into the top of the head. Ask me how I know Snap on Paid me to pull the head and repair it. Thank god they came thru cuz I would have had to eat it. Oh and it was a friend of my family that I’ve know my whole life. He was standing right there the whole time when it happened🥴
When they realize they can get essentially the same thing on amazon for $60 and has an even smaller bore scope camera with better lights... mobile app to take pictures directly to the phone...
Yep, snap on boys excited to pay more for a broken snap on tool missing necessary features than getting a new better spec'd better featured tool for less money...... solely because the alternative doesn't say Snap on somewhere on it
You’d have to be insane to pay $760 for that. You can get a nice articulating camera for less than half that and use it with your phone or tablet that has a much better screen to view it on. You can get some great views of things like valves with those things.
You can buy the same thing for 75$ online that doesnt have that stupid snapon logo on it but has every function plus higher resolution... so not a good deal.. good discount..
100buck aint bad but thats a shitty unit. u could buy 10 times better for what snapon charges. i love snapon but u need to know where to spend ur money and u did it right with this
I worked at Westen Forge in Colorado Springs CO. Snap on and SK screwdrivers are exactly the same, less the different colored handle. They SHARE the same shank. This is true for Craftsman, and Husky screwdrivers.
All tools are like this, a company makes expensive and cheap tools, and when it comes to basics like screw drivers/pliers/wrenches, etc. they use the same for both brands. For the power tools, they typically use better motors and gears for the more expensive brand version
@@iamgriff alot of black and decker has been pulled back to the US.
