Good afternoon Morgans and friends. Another warm one here today. We broke a heat record yesterday. Trail is looking great Mike. I hope all are well and safe. Have a day and we'll see you down the road .....thanks
I really enjoy watching you move dirt, building trails and generally doing your thing. I hope you never run out of making new and, redoing old trails on the property. You have become a master of your machines...
Great video Mike!, you have done an amazing amount of work in 22 hrs!. I have friends that always say that's all the hrs you've put on your bobcat since you bought it!, lololo!. You can get a lot done in an hr!!!. Morgans good day!.
Another hot 90+ day here in northwest MO. That is my dream to have land to make trails on like that. Keep up the good work and have a great day Morgan’s.
Nice trail build. It’s neat the way you can get to your families’ property without driving on the roads! The shale has a nice sound as it hits the ground and does make a nice base. I’m sure Melissa and the pups will place their seal of approval! My trails were made with shovels, picks, wheel barrows and axes so it’s nice to see how mechanization makes it go so much faster! I enjoyed this one!
This is so great, I'm loving the new trail build. Back in my youth, I grew up in a forest. My tools for trail building was a machete and shovel! Of course they were foot trails only. Mike, I hate to mention something wout information on it, but when I guess Melissa was holding your camera, I had a flash back. Years ago, in commercial crap TV, I saw a commercial advertising this, I guess a gopro camera on a tripod. It had a companion, a small something, a coin size gadget that was connected to the gopro wirelessly. The camera would follow the gadget wherever it moved. I've no idea of any name, or even if it still exists as I quit commercial crap TV years ago. That would be good for one person to video his movements wout a second person. Anyway, this is real fun for me watching y'all do anything out in the woods! Levi planting the pines and he has Japanese chestnuts also to plant. Good stuff just getting better every day. Thanks for today's video, I'll be looking for you tomorrow! 👍🚜❤
Very fitting title was watching the loader running over it after you did the first few lift with your shale it hardly even sunk, great compaction, the camera work was dead on for detailing all of the skimming the the compaction with each lift also to understand the elevation you were working with beautiful camera work loved the whole thing you answered so many questions with this video on how the trail interconnects your beautiful property , thanks for sharing totally enjoyed it,
We’ll, there you go. That’s how it’s done. Killed my back doing it by pick and shovel. Trying to get to my upper hillside property to take advantage of the stunning lake view in northern Idaho.
Nice job Mike... I like how you were able to avoid cutting any major trees leading to the trail down below... Thus far zero costs in materials, that's always a plus... Bill... :~)
Can't wait to be at the point of doing this on my property! For now I have no heavy equipment. Only using my chainsaw, a pickaxe and a shovel to create my trails. Hardwork but nothing else I'd rather be doing.
Another great video, Mike. Not sure who was taping the segments where you were bringing fill in for the trail (perhaps Melissa) but the camera work was spot on. When you mentioned you wanted to add some fill at one point on the trail where it turns because you don’t want to be leaning, it made me think of something I do on a few pieces of my equipment (and our motorhome). I buy the large two-way levels with sticky tape on the back (from Harbor Freight) and I mount them inside my cab so I can get a sense of “true” level. I have a pretty good eye but I’m usually off a bit relative the level. A quick glance helps keep me straight and level. One of my pieces has a built-in level meter but for the ones that don’t, it’s a cheap alternative.
Hey Mike you get those totes all the time save one for watering like I did I found a old small trailer and mounted it to it and I got a Milwaukee battery transfer pump to fill it from the pond takes only 15 to fill them and you can pump it out on the trees then to and I just pull it around up and down my hills with my 25 horse tractor
I really must say that I am envious of all the land that you have, and all the possibilities that are achievable with all that land ... Just curious ... have you given any thought to a log cabin down by the pond ? ... Maybe a few fruit trees ? ... That could turn out to be a little paradise for your family ...
Once you get a 4in1 bucket on the front of that Skid steer it will become a much more versitile workhorse, . then you can add a spreader bar you grip in the bucket , to make levelling up quicker especially for turf preps and concrete prep screeding, .
Nice work! If your able to time-wise, stockpiling more material than you 'plan' to use will go along way. When I'm doing that type of work on my place I find it more convenient, as I end up using more to make the better trail. Seems like the woodland soils soak up the material like a sponge! Looks great, hope the weather holds out.
"A little bit bigger and a little bit wider than I used to make" , that's because it's a lot easier to do now with all the nice equipment you have . It's always better to start out wider , it won't be long before nature starts to crowd you.
Good job making trail I had to do that when we made our logging roads for the log trucks you sure know how to do it good camera she does good job with camera
Great looking trail. I have wanted to rent a skid steer to do trail work at the cottage but there is challenges on getting the machine in and the worry if I bury a rental lol Have a great one
Nice to hear Levi opened up an IRA in the woods with those thirsty pines.Who knows what lumber 🪵 prices will be 40 years from now. Nice trail buildin weather.
The trail is looking great Mike! When Im building roads on my property I need to make sure that theres drainage so it doesnt get washed out. Have you guy tried this before? We might make a vid about it soon.
Looking great there. Would love to see a quick shot from the drone hovering overhead so we can see where the new trail segment connects. Still time before those trees fully leaf out I think. Your weather looks great too. Finally warming up here in MN but bringing severe weather along for the ride .
Exquisite work as always Mike. BTW,,, that is in no way shape or form a Trail. That is a Road. FAR better than our hard roads or dirt roads around here! Open canopy, shale, ... road. Beautiful job.
Mike like I said before it is hard to see the topography ( elevetion) but take a good look after a good rain you might want to do a small ditch on the left side going down so that the run of don't wash your road have a great day
The trail is looking good. Last winter you had the tractor and chainsaws out in the forest cutting firewood in the snow and on your way back you were concerned about getting back to the house because that trail was steep and slippery. Does this new trail take care of that problem? It looks steep in some areas.
Great video Mike. I know W-PA well, your trail through the woods looks better then some of the roads PDOT takes care of. You might have vehicles drive through to see what it's like having no potholes to dodge LOL
Yeah Mike got the trail looking great, you might as well go ahead and put you some stone down on your trail so that you can get up and down on it when it rains. You can call it Mike's Express hehehe that well go well with Mike's land as Melissa called it the other day, hope to see more
No more mude season at the Morgans. Now that you've got Blueford, skidsteer, and an excavator, I foresee all your paths through the woods being covered in shale, 12' wide, compacted, and level side to side.
Mike - In an upcoming video, can you explain your technique for dumping and smoothing material with the bucket? I have a tractor and I will typically dump the material and then back drag it with the bucket in float, which ends up wit t a bumpy surface. I notice that you don't do that here and instead just level the bucket and push forward. Seems like it's a great technique that yields a nice flat surface with minimal effort and I'd love to learn more about it. Thanks!
There is simply no comparison between a tractor and skid steer _ I have both and the skid steer has a much shorter reach to do a more effective/efficient job...my 2 cents worth...😁👍🎏
Question: How did you turn off that darn backup beeper? Fuse? Wire cutters? or do you edit it out? Thanks for your videos - especially the Skid Steer and trail building.
Good morning everyone from another windy & rainy Virginia Beach

Shawn James would kill for the material you're scraping off the top lol. Looking good Sir, thanks for another quality video, & you too Melissa.

Mike, getting back in the woods, great...
til tomorrow, Pete from Canada 🇨🇦
Hi Mike. I realize you call it a trail, but I call it a ROAD. excellent work.
Love watching you use the equipment. Great work.
Awesome trail prep … you should do more time lapse .. get a bunch of content in one video … would really like to see the new trail finished …
Great video Mike!, you have done an amazing amount of work in 22 hrs!. I have friends that always say that's all the hrs you've put on your bobcat since you bought it!, lololo!. You can get a lot done in an hr!!!. Morgans good day!.
Hey Mike, Love the Trail, looks great, can’t wait to drive down it!
Good tools sure makes the job easier. Love watching your videos and progress.
Good afternoon everyone 😊 ☺
The real nice thing about shale is nothing much likes to grow in it. So the trails should stay clearer of vegetation more easily.
The Excavator and Skidsteer Combination Makes For An Awesome Trail Blazer Team!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊
I love how you’re developing Morganville Ranch.
Another hot 90+ day here in northwest MO. That is my dream to have land to make trails on like that. Keep up the good work and have a great day Morgan’s.
snow on the lower mountains near me!...yuck!...lookin good Mike!...thanks 4 video. be kind...
Hi Mike, great video, love the way you concentrate on getting things right, well done!
I really enjoy watching that SVL at work. That thing's a bad mommer-jommer. Mike is a highly-skilled operator, too.
Nice trail build. It’s neat the way you can get to your families’ property without driving on the roads! The shale has a nice sound as it hits the ground and does make a nice base. Still mesmerizing to watch you work that skid loader!
Thanks for giving me my morning fix. Love that Bota skid steer.
Great job on trail. Its really looking good. I guess that Melissa was behind the camera for a while, she does a good job following you. Have a day!!
Trail looks great Mike. Wish we had shale here makes good trail base and free other than some diesel fuel. 👍✊
Nice road old boy. !!!!!!
Looking good Mike, wider is better for turning and getting equipment around the woods. Thanks for sharing, Fred.
Mike those battery operated grease guns are so nice to have such time savers.
Great camera angles while you’re doing all that work Mike. It always enjoyable watching your work Mike and Melissa too.
Nice job Mike... I like how you were able to avoid cutting any major trees leading to the trail down below... Thus far zero costs in materials, that's always a plus...

Great job on the trail,Melissa behind the camera I see, she does a great job 👍
Mike, I think that Tom would be MORE than happy to concrete that trail for you, heck you got a good base in there for him!! That's a money saver!! LOL
Great action footage....
my compliments to the *camera-operator* crew !!
[The Editing staff is good too!!] 😁 *HAVE A DAY!*
Turning out great 👍.

I would love to have a property like that. Oh well, at least the burbs are peaceful
Love your new machine and how you care for it….and love your show
Looks good...better to be wide, noce job

Yes! Thank you!

New trail looks nice covered in shale
Good job making trail I had to do that when we made our logging roads for the log trucks you sure know how to do it good camera she does good job with camera
Your wearing it out mr Morgan 👍
Nice job on the trail mike 👍 wide enough for the tractor a d a trailer if you wanted
Good evening Mike, Melissa and Hunter greetings from Melbourne Australia
Always enjoy your videos.. mike. Great job.
Great looking trail. I have wanted to rent a skid steer to do trail work at the cottage but there is challenges on getting the machine in and the worry if I bury a rental lol
Have a great one
Nice to hear Levi opened up an IRA in the woods with those thirsty pines.Who knows what lumber 🪵 prices will be 40 years from now. Nice trail buildin weather.
Hot day over here in London....
Nice job
Good job Mike. It looks really good. Cool video 👍😆👍❤️

Once you're not too busy you should mark the trails. And a added bonus could be fluorescent tape or markers for night moves.
Most of us have to be content to use the back of our garden rake.
But Mike uses his Kubota skid loader bucket and backs up!
Now the skidsteer looks great now .BOB in OK.
Looking great there. Would love to see a quick shot from the drone hovering overhead so we can see where the new trail segment connects. Still time before those trees fully leaf out I think. Your weather looks great too. Finally warming up here in MN but bringing severe weather along for the ride .

Looks good so far

Does this new trail take care of that problem? It looks steep in some areas.
I was thinking that to
Better put a coat of gravel on that hill or hen it rains that cly will make it really slick to get up.
I was thinking the same thing, it looks steep! going to wash out like crazy
It will be interesting to see trail maintenance for erosion control.
You should "bank" those curves and turns......ya know.....dirt bikes, atv's, utv's, snowmobiles etc........GRANDKIDS......
Nice filming Melissa!
That part of your property looks pretty steep. What is the change in grade?
Hatfield McCoy trail system would be proud lol
You guys are so blessed
It looks like good.
"A little bit bigger and wider than the trails that I used to make, but, uh, that's okay, so am I".😜
Trails looking good.

4x4 with AT tires should be able to make it up your trails i think. In Colombia we consider your trails as dirt roads.
Another job done well

Gotta LOVE it!!
Hello Mike. For a trail that is, as you said, roughed in, it is looking great. Do you plan to put limestone down or just more shale?
Have good days!
Just more shale
Great video Mike 🇺🇲
