Use lighter line. You might have to fight more, but the 4lb braid or 5.5 lb braid and my favorite is the 6lb fluoro, all strong enough for about any size chain, bass, most new York northerns and walleye and you shouldn't get penalized. Or try using early level rods n reels and the heaviest line your setup will allow you to still cast decently. Thanks for the clear video explanation.
Yo bud. Thanks for great video. You are completely right. Thank you. Also... If you go into map and fish with your highout put reel. Then take it off to match the fish weight. When yoy switch reels. If you dont move. You will still be able to cast out like you are still using your power reel
makes no sence, since no matter what i still get red arrows i could even use a setup that would almost break because its not strong enough for the fish and still would get arrows.... recently i caught a 20lb fish with gear that should only be able to catch a max of say 10lb and i still got red arrows yet it was not overpowerd.
Friend can you help me I got a fine for catching an eel on the Tiber Italy, every time I enter an area despite having an advanced driving license they always take money away from me I earned more than 16,000 after the fine because I continue to lose money every time I have to go fishing can you help me please
I have 9kg strength rod, 9kg max break reel and 7,7kg line, I cough 6,8kg catfish and got red arrows with -34xp, I thought my gear set up was perfect for fishing stuff between 7-10kg and I shouldn't loss XP
No. You just get less. I'm looking at my screen right now with a young Northern Pike I picked up at Emerald Lake. It shows the red arrows and says 10xp gained. Looking at the XP modifiers list, it shows a Tackles modifier of -9 xp. That doesn't mean it's taking away 9 of the 10 xp it says I gained - it means that that fish is worth 19xp, but since my tackle is OP for this fish, I'm only getting 10 out of the 19 xp it's worth. Not technically losing xp - just not getting the full value.
Took forever to find someone that explains what I was looking for, thank you.

So you don’t actually lose xp?
