Nice to have a garden. I live in a 4th floor flat, and there's a huge waiting list for allotments round here. Can I recommend Crystal Apple cucumbers? - They're thin skinned, sweet fleshed, and grow to the size of a tennis ball, though the immature fruits can be eaten too.
They would do well against that wall if you gave them some netting to climb up, and you don't need to plant the seedlings out until the end of April so you'd have time to get some in this year.

Ah Susan your video has come at the right time - today I pulled meat out of the freezer, saw that it was freezer burned, and put it back in 😬 It’s definitely time to do a clean out and get rid of it!

It's possible that having stuff ruined in freezer means the freezer is too big? Worth a thought maybe. Make less stuff freeze less and use less power.

Hi Jon. Yes that would work for some people. For me I need plenty in, so I just have to accept occasional waste when life has been tough. I think with freezing, optimum power is when freezer is kept pretty full so that works for me but a smaller freezer would definitely work for people too. All a balancing act eh 😊

@@CookingandCalm yes I think I just meant that if you have a big freezer there is a temptation to fill it but if there is only one or two of you you may not be able to get through it all before some of it starts to spoil. I realise a freezer works best when full so for some people it would be prudent to down size their freezers if they found stuff was constantly spoiling. Not necessarily you though. Cheers

I SO need to do this! To start I best find some of those labels that will stick to a frozen plastic drawer front. I had tried before, with two different lots of labels, one would stick but only for a day or so and the others didn’t stick at all 😒

You can do it! I don't know where you're located but in the UK I got mine from Lakeland and they are specifically for the freezer - they work great

It's a Beko model :TFF677APW . We've had it for a few years so I'm not sure whether that is still available. It's one of those that is rated for keeping in an outdoor garage
