that is the sound of hitting rock bottom but still finding it within yourself to get up and keep trying for a better life

Music at its core, is an exposure therapy. Something that connects the heart and the head in the most cathartic way…

Very melancholy, and beautiful. It started soothing, like something from "Fresh Air II: Summer" by Manheim Steamrolled (Chip Davis), but then it built in intensity.

This reminds me of the great Stan Rogers and his song the Northwest Passage.
"Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea"
We Lost the Sea is so beautiful.

    Absolutely beautiful!
Please react to "Catch the Wind" by Donovan. It was one of my nan's favourite songs and since she passed last year I've had a rekindled appreciation of it's beauty.

Thank you soooooooo much for your awesome reaction! I'm super glad you decided to check out their website as well. Their lead guitarist, Matt Harvey actually does all their artwork as well and he is awesome. I've bought a couple of their vinyls now and they always come with tons of extra artwork.
The cover art for Departure Songs is especially cool since it incorporates the stories of each song into a single image.
For anyone who enjoyed this track, I highly, highly recommend taking the time to listen to the whole album together at once. It really is best enjoyed as a single experience - in fact they used to play concerts where they would play this album from start to finish.
Thank you thank you thank you! And @welostthesea - definitely get in touch with our girl Rosalie here! 😁

I highly, highly recommend Avenged Sevenfold’s Cosmic video. They are very metal, but in such a unique way that differs from most metal bands, and this song is so moving and gorgeous.
    Love your reactions! ❤

I found this song just before my wife miscarried our first child. It's hard to listen to, especially when alone, but it's too beautiful to leave aside.
