22 years of pipe fitting, welding and inspection, every day minus the first month of my career in Redwing boots. My father found out I was going to be a craftsman and bought my first pair. It's the most important tool I own, and that's how I think of them,tools not shoes, because I can't turn a wrench without wearing proper footwear.
I started with RW1907.. my second pair was RW8140.. Next week will going to get my booked RW8884 Camo..By Christmas end of this year will get my RW875.. Great Boots!. Im proud to wore Red Wing Boot everyday.

I love your boots, im planning on getting a pair of 4417's. My dad has had a pair for at least 8 years, and they still look good, even after climbing in trees, going through creeks, and tromping through mud.
I love my 4206. I bought two pairs for work because I was upset they were discontinuing them. I'll rotate them weekly to make sure they'll last longer. Best work boot I ever had. I work in a manufacture plant that's all concrete floors and pallets. Steel toe bliss

Just pulled the trigger on a pair of #875. They feel like my whole life my feet have been waiting go get into them, like a baseball mitt after years of use. Everyone who owns a pair of feed should own a pair of these boots.

red wings orthotic insoles are absolutely fantastic a pair of 202 red wings I bought have them in there and I decided on the spot to get another set for my blacksmiths. Superior comfort.

I Love my 6 inch steeltoe 4439's. i've only had about 3 pairs in a 20 year period.

@tarabas7 There are 9 widths in the US system. From narrowest to widest, they are: AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, E, EE, EEE. The D width is considered to be "medium". The widths are linear and are separated by 3/16 of an inch. Just to keep things interesting, the actual width measurement which yields a D width size varies with the length size.

I am a painter who spends at least 60 hours a week wearing my work boots. I work on different surfaces indoors and out, sometimes often on concrete. What particular boot is recommends for me. I am partial to the 10875 because of its great looks but am open to suggestions.
Would love to tour the factory in person sometime to meet some of the incredible people featured in this story!
DannoCrutch: most of our boots are able to be resoled. We have a video about that very subject - just look up Red Wing Shoes Repair here on UA-cam or find it on our channel.
Can these boots be re-soled by a cobbler? If I am going to spend that kind of money on a pair, I definitely want them to be useful for the rest of my life.
Red wing shoes are par excellent. Once you start u can't stop. LOL I love mine, though a recent one i bought has a stitching problem, that was resolved quickly by the store.

been looking a researching different boots finally pulled the trigger on some 894 wingshooter 8inch. got off work and went to get boot walked in my foot was hurting put the new boot on and instantly the pain in my foot went away. I wore them out of the store lol
I really hate to agree with everyone in America, but yes, Red Wing boots are the best in the world. My current pair I bought in 2005 and still wear them every day. New souls in 2014 at the Minnesota plant and still going strong. It looks like when I die I'll go to my grave in them!
@tarabas7 There is a Red Wing Shoe Store in Kuala Lampur at Lot 1.30, 1st Floor Pertama Complex, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. They should be able to order shoes for your size. I don't know if that store does shoe repair, so you will have to ask them.

Kinld make a boot that is AR 670-1 compatible for military. I would definitely by it. I have worn your shoes before and they are excellent. I think you should look into a military boot if you are not doing so already.

@RedWingShoeCompany thank you for the useful reply. it clears a lot of my confusion about the sizing. The only problem is I am living in Malaysia.
1. Is there any authorize store in Malaysia that I can go to purchase the boot?
2. Does the store can repair/resole the boot?

@tarabas7 A UK size 7 is a US size 8, so a D width for you would be 3.8 inches at the widest part of your foot. E would be about 3.9 and EE would be 4.1. Your best plan would be to go to a store that fits Red Wings and make sure that you're ordering the right size. We have a list of UK dealers of Red Wing Heritage products on our redwingheritage dot eu website - click the 'where to buy' link in the bottom menu.
i saw a review somewhere else saying they can do it for 30$...sounds like a good deal to me

I had a pair in my younger day as a framer in the rockies. I ordered a 4439 today. my older pair just wore out after 11 years. mud snow u name it boots kept feet from freezing they were bought from my brother he had them for 5 years I abused those boots on the job
Does Red Wing use solvents (like toluene) in shoe manufacturing? I'm studying solvent use in shoe manufacturing, and I see lots of articles about shoe manufacturers using different solvents. No evidence of existing shoe manufacturers using such chemicals though - are solvents used universally in shoe manufacturing or specifically in plastic/non-leather shoes?

@RedWingShoeCompany I do industrial demolition,i do Alot of walking and am exposed to high temps. Im looking for a lace less slip on boot that has a heat,abrasion,chemical,oil,and slip resistant sole. Got anything along those lines? Oh, almost forgot,it MUST have a heel.8)
@ZiltoidThe0mniscient i live in canada and i have the red wing 9016 (cigar gentlemen traveler) and i've walked in them in around ~ -20 celsius and they hold up well with a good pair of socks. these boots have no lining but are very warm and comfortable
if it ever gets that cold i'll test them out

where in germany can i order a pair of red wing 875 moc toe boots for my 14.2 inch long and 5.6 inch wide foot?
My roughneck and iron rangers dont have a stamped logo, why is that? My moc toe have one

I went to 3 registered stores in London and none of them supplied other than D to fit.
So it means I bought a pair that are too tight! I need an E or poss EE but was not informed of this option and salesman said 'for sure' the boots would loosen a bit. So now I'v some lovely but redundant boots. This needs to be addressed.
@RedWingShoeCompany Why are some of your shoes made in China? I like many loyal customers will not buy chinese made boots, I was disappointed last week when I stopped in my local store. I did buy a pair of 2404's, glad they are still made here.
David: you are correct in that 100% of our Heritage line is made in the USA. 60% of all Red Wing Shoes are manufactured in our factories in Red Wing, Minnesota and Potosi, Missouri.
realistically, for most companies it's either offshore some of their production to make a cheaper product for people who don't want to spend money, or go out of business all together. at least with Redwing, people still have a choice - American made or chinese made. if enough people refrain from buying the American made version, they'll have nothing to complain about when they quit making them altogether. millions of people can't buy from Amazon and then complain about jeff bezos being worth $100,000,000,000.00
I have been wearing Red Wing boots for many years and for the most part have been more than satisfìed with the fit and performance. For work, I can"t imagine a better product. I do have one complaint, and it's a big one. It is getting hard to find a style or model that is actually MADE IN THE USA. Seems that, just like most American companies, the greatest amount of your shoes and boots are labeled, made in china. Shame On You.
