@@Tbone.357 You can obviously mainly hear the band. The audience doesn’t overpower them. Hearing the audience echoing the singer just gives it an extra bit of energy. Gives the performance life.
100%, it's fantastic to see - when I went to the London ritual I was a bit nervous about singing because I didn't know if I would be alone haha but everyone was really great :D
I'm just surprised the audience is so into it, given that this (while a very well-written song with a weird number of key changes) is baaasically just a bit of fairly generic pop rock. Danse Macabre is the only song of theirs that comes to mind as being more poppy, and that song legit made me write off the band for a year or two until I was convinced that it wasn't representative of their vibe.
@@someguy4262 If them having a couple of songs that sound pop-rockish is that big of a deal for you, maybe they're not the band for you. Ghost isn't just metal. Ghost is whatever the song happens to sound like. Spillways isn't generic in my eyes. It's more akin to older arena rock, and thus is not common now.

they are however returning to US now after the Europe tour, so don't worry you'll get a chance to catch up! Make sure to look for tickets already as the concerts are about august this year and forward.
I saw ghost live a few weeks ago and they did Spitalfield! It was, as you might expect, absolutely amazing. They close the main part of the set with it. Then there’s a short break and 3 encore songs.

pretty sure it's on purpose, he's much more in character on his live perfomances + the studio version will always, for sure, sound in someway different from the lives version.
It's just the mix for the harmonies has the one part much louder than the other girls so it stands out. If they were the same volume the harmony would sound better. Always the annoying thing about performing live especially songs with complex stand out harmonies
@@commodoreRumbleshanks i know that, but still it’s off key a bit, especially the guy back vocalist . The girl is off key too sometimes, but giving good tone color. I know it’s a hard harmony, but it can be done 100 times better if you ask me
@@swf4841 bacause I can hear them. I know they can be distorted because of the big room and phone mic, but I know and hear over that and with that taken into account that its badly executed. Which is very strange usually they are very good

I love the live versions even more because of the back vocals! The ghoulettes and the ghouls have awsome voices

Not directing this at you, moreso just in general, I think every band has it's good and bad days. I do agree that their stage performance is lovely!
