Eh, I was extremely disappointed with Oras, it seemed devoid of any love by the developers, especially when compared to hgss. First thing to go when the love put into a game is lost is the aesthetics. Sure the instrumentation is great, but the aesthetics aren't creative whatsoever. Imo, the quality of music in Pokemon has drastically turned for the worse since the beginning of the 3ds era. Pokemon's overall aesthetics were at it's hight during the day era. It seems Pokemon is now relying too much on its name to sell nowadays rather than making memorable games... Just like cod and (even more unfortunately) Halo... But hey, maybe things will get better on the switch, bc game freak _has_ to have a good first impression for Pokemon's first mainline console game (the fastest-selling console in history) or else many potential newcomers or people trying to return to the series will be turned away. Here's to hoping for Pokemon having the time and love to be developed, and to hoping for a Sinnoh return that's even better than the original and is comparable or even better than hgss.
I know this is late as hell, but everytime I hear Eterna Forest's theme, I am overwhelmed by this strange feeling. I don't know if it's nostalgia, I don't know if it's sadness, I don't know it's the beauty of it all. All I know, is that I want to cry my eyes out. But, it's weird. I don't feel sad. I don't feel happy. I just feel, comforted. Understood. Hopeful. Safe. Relieved. As if, the music itself is telling that everything is going to be okay. Maybe, just maybe, that's why I want to cry. Maybe, it reminds of a time where I was just like the melody. Full of hope. I've wanted to go to a therapist for a while now, around 2 or 3 years exactly. I've wanted to go because, suddenly, everything just fell apart in my little world. I thought that it was just something temporary. That I was just being dramatic. I was wrong. Very wrong. I just felt worse. I just bottled up everything inside me. I just stopped caring. Still, I had hope. I thought that things would get better. I was wrong again. The worst part was and is, I couldn't and can't tell anyone I love about this. Because I'm way too scared that they won't understand. But, despite everything, I always had those little moments where everything felt so peaceful. And one of those moments was when I first entered Eterna Forest. For the first time in my life, I silently cried while i held my phone with the emulator running, covering my mouth with my hand as to try not to make any noise. Only my sniffing could be heard. I just felt as if I finally found something to rely on. Something to be hopeful for. A reminder that, I was not alone in this big and cruel world. Eterna Forest's theme will forever be in my heart. And to you, Zame, I thank you deeply for making this beautiful rendition. To whoever stuck with me and read all of this: Don't lose hope. There's always going to be someone or something that will be there for you. If you haven't found them yet, trust me, you will someday. Please, don't lose hope.
Bro i think you said it perfectly. Gen 4 music but this one specifically always make me feel a way that is hard to describe but it feels amazing to put it in the most basic terms.
I like to use this when i use my full shiny party from my Full party Shiny Nuzlocke from FireRed...it makes me feel proud of my pokémon, because it wasn't just me, it was them too, after all, i wasn't the one landing all the criticals.
Here i am a 29 to be 30 year old man.... I may get this for my Twins and play this game together with them teaching them of all the mysteries of the Sinnoh region 😊☺
I grew up playing from Pokémon Crystal up to Emerald and Platinum but from the fifth gen and on I lost much interest unfortunately, only recently I began to get back to the franchise. If I had to pick my favorite regions it'd be both Hoenn and Sinnoh as they are the ones that stuck with me.

@@KartsAgainstHumanity idk if you still need it, but the emulator is called yuzu, and the places you find the roms vary, but try to look for a google drive link in a youtube video description if you look it up. Also the emualtor isn't perfect yet and you need a pretty powerful computer to run it.

I thought about how easily D/P/Pt's areas with ruins (Unown ruins, Regigigas temple etc.) could have easily had more ominous sounding music more reminiscent of the Regi's temples from Gen. 3 but instead we have this mystical music that uses sound to convey the ethereal nature of some kind of Otherworld. Like the veil between this reality and a sacred reality, showing that Sinnoh's rich history is revered by the people who live there and protect and upkeep the ruins of such a rich and storied land.
This is a great unreleased remix! Thank you ZameJack for releasing all of your unreleased and W.I.P. remixes even though you have stopped making them. I really appreciate it! ☺️
Even though the vibe of this remaster is a lot more mysterious and temporal sounding compared to the rest of the remasters here on UA-cam. It's still standing as the best remaster. Unless you're looking at Eterna forest in Pokemon: legends Arceus. (Man, i thought this remaster gave me nostalgia attacks, but when i heard the one from PLA. I instantly went back in time. Seeing myself playing Pokemon platinum, thinking about those simpler times)

there's just something so mystical about this song. i can't accurately describe what it is about this song but its calming, energizing, uplifting, and sorrowful all at the same time. all of these emotions together bring a new one that i was unable to comprehend for some time. similar to the way the lake theme will always remind me of the best parts of my childhood, purposely leaving out the bad stuff (even though it was all happening at the same time) then i figured it out. this song and the lake theme in particular, are built the stimulate the mind of a child, it can bring out the innocence and happiness in a depressed 23 year old like me because it takes me back to being 10 years old. 2008, the year my pokemon journey began for the first time. you see, these two songs are very serene, and peaceful. in this way even though its energizing, it's not energetic which allows one to center their thoughts more easily and by proxy inner peace is more easily attainable. zame, thank you for the beautiful remake of this. you truly know the importance of this song and it makes me happy that it reflects in your remasters.

This whole song reminds me not only of Pokémon Pearl, my first pokemon game, but also of Final Fantasty XIII-2, one of my first RPGs ever. (I'm very new to RPGs) So that just adds a whole new layer of nostalgia I'm not sure I'm able to handle. Fantastic job!

This remake almost feels like it needs to have an extension. Like, the base song is really nice, but with how much this remix does, it feels like the entire song should be extended and added on. Amazing work as always!!!

Yup my absolute favorite is Sinnoh as well, and this theme in particular comes close to being my favorite of themes.
