Chilling Encounters With Bigfoot In Florida From a Unique Witness

  • I spoke to a witness of bigfoot activity. This witness is unique because of an eye condition that causes discomfort in daylight, therefore, he and the alleged creatures share the night.
The witness in this video has had three exciting and chilling with an unidentified creature commonly called bigfoot-- or skunk ape--seeing as the encounters occurred in Florida, east of Fort Myers.
I also cover some points of contention in the world of bigfoot, and in most things paranormal, unusual, supernatural, and otherwise unexplained--why does a person who has one experience tend to have another? And is bigfoot hidden in plain sight?
I don't care how intelligent or articulate anyone is on a regular basis. Something about writing a video description turns even the most brilliant mind to mush, let alone mine.

An old coworker told me a story about how he clobbered a doe with his truck. When he got out to look he saw it was pretty mangled from the impact with his grill guard, but it was still breathing and was suffering. Just then a guy stopped and came to check on the accident. The man walked up and they talked about the deer and the damage to his vehicle. My coworker remarked about feeling bad that the animal was suffering so much. The man pulled out a pistol and shot the deer in the head twice. (This was northern Minnesota in the middle of absolute nowhere) My coworker was upset about the sudden discharge of a firearm on the side of the road. After things calmed down they walked over to the front of his truck and looked for any damage. They left the deer on the shoulder of the road and were gone for what he figures was less than 5 minutes. They went to drag the deer off the road completely. But it was gone. No drag marks, no blood trail leading to the woods and not even a disturbance in the tall weeds either side. I tell the story because until I said, "don't you think that's weird?" It had never occured to him that a very very dead deer disappearing from the side of the road with any trace was a strange thing. People brush events off all the time with a second thought and they lt their brain fill in any issues with what happened.

When I was a boy scout in Sarasota during the 80's my pack went camping at Oscar Sherer State Park. One evening we were walking on a fire line and something very tall and dark crossed the trail in front of us. It was walking around the palmettos on 2 feet. It was too tall to be a person. We all turned around and walked back towards camp without saying anything for a moment. Our leader was armed and we weren't terrified but we didn't consider going back to see it again or look for tracks. We talked about it back at camp and that's when I first heard of skunk apes.
I saw a video of a supposed Bigfoot/skunk ape in Myakka State Park, in the same county we had our experience in. I've heard of other sightings out that way too.

I was camping with the Boy Scouts in 1979 or 80 at the Hillsborough River State Park outside of Tampa. Around midnight me and a couple other boys snuck out of our tents and went off into the woods to smoke cigarettes and had something large shaking bushes and small trees. Scared the daylight out of us all.
I didn't know what to make of it for years, then 10 years ago I heard of a couple people having Skunk Ape sightings in that area.
I'd love to know what the hell that was over 40 years ago.

Yup, there are things here in Florida do make a definitely recognizable sound when they swim. Late one night while slow trolling live bait for snook a buddy of mine and I heard something jump in the canal that boarders Everglades national park. The canal divides the park from the Aerojet property. It sounded exactly like how this fella describes except when it jumped in from the high side of the bank, the three splashes of its arms got out, shook off and walked off into the vastness of the park.
A month earlier around sunset my son's and I heard a vocalization from the same area it got out at. The sound started like a gibbon, then tailed into a cows moo, the like an angry bull.
Both times my son's and my friend said "I want to go home now".
Finally I do believe that when a person encounters one, you will encounter others. I have pages of experiences at my cabin in Pisgah on the NC/TN line.

The way he says that it didn't register what he saw until a bit later makes sense to me. I remember playing hide and go seek with my cousin when I was a kid. We had a timer set for how long you had to find the hider so I was hurrying to find her. Quickly drop on the floor to check under the bed, run to the chair and look behind it, throw open the closet door and look inside. Run to next room.....wait...go back to the closet. She's standing right there. I remember seeing her, looking right back at me with a 'you caught me' look, but I just slammed the door closed and rushed to the next room. It just didn't register right away. I guess that's some form of confirmation bias. I didn't expect to find her there so my brain ignored what I was looking at.

I’ve heard this same thing so many times. I think Sasquatch may have some type of ability that we don’t understand to project thoughts or something of that nature.
I always think of Davy Crockett’s Sasquatch experience, which was very unusual, to say the least. For one, I don’t understand why it’s never talked about.
But moreover, he says that he saw a forest giant in Arkansas while cutting timber with his cousin or something. He said the thing spoke to him and told him “don’t go to Texas.”
He didn’t say if it actually spoke, which makes me think that he experienced “mindspeak.”
He wrote this in a letter, so there’s no denying the story’s authenticity.
What’s incredible about it is that Crockett would in fact disregard the warning and go to Texas a few weeks later, where he was killed in the Alamo.
@BobGymlan have you ever heard this story?

    Hey Bob.
Please tell the guy who sent you this...
My mother suffered from migraines for about 15 years.
She did some research about them, and decided the fluid in her brain lacked insulative chemicals, and took to taking regular double doses of melatonin.
Took her a few months before she had enough in her system to build up in her brain, but now she doesn't suffer from migraines.
She just has to keep taking melatonin.
I should note, I brought this up some years ago and a friend who was a pharmacist informed me it's not a good idea to do this as it can inhibit one's natural ability to produce melatonin.
I figure if one's brain isn't producing it in the first place, and the cost of migraine medications being what they are, you can either spend money on one, or more on the other.
Lastly, more melatonin leads to more dreams... So one had better be ok with what goes on in one's own head, because when Morpheus comes a knocking, you're going to sort out everything you pushed to the back of your mind, whether you like it or not.
    Ok. I've spoken my piece.

My seizures are triggered by stress, anxiety….. and numbers repeating ( I know it’s weird) so, I can’t play cards, for example, or count money. So, I said to this neurologist “if I could have a seizure triggered when I have depression, in a controlled environment, I would be a lot safer, as I would not trigger one when I’m alone” and I was told that it was too taboo to speak about. You know why? Because people who have severe depression would also benefit from having seizures in controlled environments, to treat them, but the pharmaceutical companies would be out BILLIONS. It’s why they don’t offer electric shock treatments much anymore. Since I’ve been on seizure medication, I don’t have many big seizures…. Now I suffer depression and anxiety and they offer me…..ANTIDEPRESSANTS!

I live in the sticks and when my kids were young I would go for a drive with them to ease the bed time routine. One day while going through a woodsy road I noticed a large black mass on the right side of the road. My brain told myself not to look, and kept telling me no matter what you do don't look. Legit I'm driving a big suv with brights on, I just have to gaze in that direction and will have a clear view but my brain said no. After I past it, I couldn't shake the feeling I saw something and like your witness it bother me that I was too scared to look. Like a kid hiding under the covers wishing it goes away. So I circle back determined to look, but nothing just normal road.

If you live anywhere where there are bears that could explain it, I was driving on my motorcycle in northern Ontario stopped for a break and a smoke. I didn’t realize but as I put my helmet back on after i turned my back to my direction of travel, and I got nervous about a bear. Snapped my head around to my now 8 o’clock and maybe 5 feet into the bush about 25 feet away there was a black bear just standing there. I left fast. When I thought about it a few minutes down the road, I realized I seen it walking in my peripheral vision and when I put my smoke out right before Turing my back fully.

Was listening to a Survivorman Sasquatch Chronicles pod, and when it was done, whaddya know, but Bob had just dropped a new edit! About the stump; once I noticed something in the planter bed at the end of my apartment building, I saw something that caught my eye right next to the building, which was about 15' from the sidewalk. I thought it was a dead cat, so I took a step or 2 off the sidewalk, and decided it was just the dead roots of some bush that had been cut off at ground level. But every time I walked by, something about the way it looked said dead cat. After a few weeks of seeing it, one day I finally took a couple more steps toward it, and sure enough, it was the remains of a dead cat. It's interesting how the mind talks us into and out of things, or convinces us that what we know we're looking at isn't really what we're seeing.

The first encounter I had with a wood ape was like that. My buddy and I had clearly seen this massive wall of fur (the only brown one I've seen) stand up from the other side of a fallen tree from us and take off into the woods (making the same incredibly loud crashing sound that one made in one of my later encounters). I kept repeating, "that was a deer. It was just a deer. It _had_ to be a deer." Because deer were the only large animals supposed to be in my neck of the woods, and I didn't want to believe what I'd just seen. But it wasn't a deer; there was no mistaking what it was.

Saw me a swamp ape about a year ago, i'm near the withlacoochee river and a bunch of lakes and connecting channels near a few wildlife refuges and state forest in central florida. Was out walking the doggo and took a detour into the woods in a "no - no" spot, one of the swiftmud channel locks/dam areas, the gate was open it was sunday and it is a beautiful piece of property so me and the dog strolled on in. There's nothing there but one of those manual gates to manage water flow through the channel, and a single gate out by the road hwy 48 floral city. Both me and the dog spooked and stopped dead in our tracks when we heard a thrashing sound briefly like something big moving in the water, and it was a good 50-75 yards out but i saw from the corner of my eye what looked to be large brown and hairy moving through the tree line fairly quickly. I couldn't get a good look at it, but i got the chills and the eeby jeebies because it didn't seem like a deer/pig/other usual florida swamp critter, and i've been around here well over 30 years and have seen it all. We only have black bear around, this was brown and bigger, I've seen BIG pigs but this was no pig. The water was too deep a pig wouldn't be many feet out of and above the water to make the thrash sound in the water and move so quickly. The only thing it COULD of been from the visual and sound, may have been a gator snatching a deer, but that's highly highly unlikely. It's not a spot a deer would of been, a gator sure. And a gator snatching a deer would of made for a lot more thrashing, and likely pulled it into the water. What I heard was rapid movement of something large that WE spooked apparently, then saw the large brown fur moving horizontal WITH the water with no sound after, and it was big. Much bigger than any deer or pig i've ever seen in florida, and appeared more upright than 4 legged. I didn't get that classic "smell" that so many report with florida skunk ape/bigfoot whatever. But it got dead silent nature wasn't making a peep, no birds no bugs no nothing, and the eery feeling i got, and even my dog seemed uneasy. And shes a 100+ pound pyrenees/anatolian that isn't scared of squat. Worth looking into for those interested in this sort of thing, apparently its a hot spot since growing up in the area all the locals of bushnell/withlacoochee river area all swear by swamp apes being legit. I just found it peculiar that whatever it was was smart enough to be THERE of all places. It's technically private property (yea i know my bad sorry for living) that might have ONE person come onto said property to manage the water gate, or maybe mow the tiny area getting to it every once in a blue moon. Otherwise it wouldn't be bothered by anybody or anything 99% of the time. Hiding out on government property lmfao, figures. Or rather a government contractor. "water management"

Excellent video as always, but I'm concerned about the art. At 0:43 you can clearly see how screwed up the fingers are, something AI often fails with. The transition at 4:35 also seems suspect, reminds me of how some AI algorithms allow for you to re-generate specific sections of an image. The shape of the storyteller's face also changes in style and shape. Especially the jawline. I know Bob said explicitly before he wouldn't use AI, which makes me wonder if some con artist took commission to make art for Bob without telling him it's AI.
It's only getting harder to spot these sorts of things with time, so maybe I'm being too nitpicky.

Doing so will cause the thing to actively engage and antagonize you.

There ! The question raised which helps me ! I had an interaction with at least two Sasquatch while hunting. And then years later I came across one under a apple tree on a very very old farm stead all the building were gone only piles of rubble remained it had been turned into public land many decades before I found it and was about 10 miles from my first encounter which ended my deer hunting for several years . And then near the the old farm stead in a tree stand I had built over looking a funnel of trails I heard voices voices like the samari voices which sounded like a conversation and then much louder like they became alert like they winded me or seen me move as I am sure my head was on a swivel not knowing what I was hearing . And I heard crashing and kinda yelp whistle thing and every went dead quiet … I climbed down and have never returned . But I’ve never told my story because I felt if I told it know one woulda believed I had 3 encounters. And I’m sure not going to have a fourth I now stay clear of the woods ! 😢

Hi, Bob, thank you for another excellent video! Thanks to your witness too, for sharing his fascinating experiences.
I know that as a random commenter on UA-cam, my opinion may be as worthless as it is unsolicited, but I can't resist the urge to throw out a few of my own observations, just in case they add anything to the conversation about this topic.
First off, I think that a possible explanation for the incredible ability sasquatches have to avoid human attention may be a well-developed psychic ability that many humans also possess. What I'm referring to is a kind of telepathic shield, or energy bubble that makes a person functionally invisible. I learned how to project such a field years ago, when I was very young, and times were rough... the less said about them the better. Anyway, you can, if you practice, learn to will yourself unseen, and if done correctly, people simply will not notice you. At all. If I took the time to explain this more fully, it would be too long for this (already too long) comment, so I'll leave my statement to be believed or otherwise. It is true, however, and I believe that if humans can learn such a vital survival trick, then sasquatches very likely could learn a similar skill as well.
As to why other spooky phenomenal seem to manifest during sasquatch sightings, I cannot say. I do currently believe them to be flesh and blood creatures, but I think that our prevailing notions about the supposed limits on the abilities of flesh and blood creatures need to be reexamined.
I think that there may be something going on telepathically with sasquatches in other ways too... if they CAN do the invisibility trick that I mentioned, then they may be very adept at manipulating mental and perceptual energy, and this may extend to interfering with the minds of humans on other levels... sort of like remote hypnosis. I have encountered a few unsettling people in my time who were capable of exuding such a powerful field of willpower that they could almost compel responses from others simply by thought. I am not such a person myself, apart from the invisibility trick I learned, but I think that such mental forcefulness probably works along the same lines as my ability to hide.
Think of the scene from Star Wars when the Jedi master tells the stormtrooper "These aren't the droids you're looking for". Something like that. Perhaps when a sasquatch's personal camouflage is breached, it is capable of overpowering the mind of its observer, as if to say "You think that you saw a sasquatch? NO. You DIDN'T." Perhaps such a psychic impact on an unprepared human mind simply scrambles our memories a little; makes us question our observations, or even our sanity?
My point, (please forgive the rambling) is that the world contains many more possibilities than what we are taught about in science class. Humans are capable of profound feats of energy manipulation. We don't like to call it magic, because "magic isn't real", but that never stops a magician. "Sasquatches aren't real" either, remember?
Thanks as always for your amazing work! Best of luck with everything. All the best, --N.

Start Spending some overnights out in the Appalachians especially in the Virginia area and I bet you become a knower. One time when I was driving back from Florida through Virginia I decided to stop at a camp grounds (Prince William state forest) . It’s a 4 mile drive into deep woods. It was the first week in September and there was only one other couple camping that day. Around midnight my wife woke me to ask me if I’d go with her to the rest room. All around us we could here what sounded like many owls . Within a few min the owl sounds turned into coyotes. Then within a few min it turned into what sounded like hyenas. Then the sounds turned into loud apes going absolutely crazy as if to be celebrating a kill or something. The vocals were way out of any human vocal range. It was pretty fascinating to me because I know my wildlife as I’ve always , hiked, hunted, trapped, and fished . Plus always researching animals because wildlife has always fascinated me. Anyway my wife was mortified and Absolutely refuses to go in the woods with me camping, hiking, or anything involving the woods since that day. I’ve had a few other encounters while hunting and trapping in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. These beings are real . Why the Gov hides their existence idk but they are real.

He offered answers in some instances that, on their merit alone, utterly convinced me that every word of his report was authentic. And it should be noted that I am cynical almost to an annoying fault, especially with the topic of Sasquatch.

I consider myself a life long explorer. Hunting is one of the most dear things to me. I don’t kill a ton but when I do, the animals are usually mature, as well as the place I kill them has to be spectacular, at least to me.
This leads me to try extra hard to get into remote, overgrown, or overlooked areas. This single metric for my trips, seems to have gotten me close to what I believe is these ‘things’.
I have never seen one. But have had that ‘feeling of absolute dread and death’ put on me. Specifically after seeing a couple of those structures made of trees. These structures I call ‘totems’, only because they had a feeling that emanated from them.
Ever since then. I seem to notice things that I otherwise would have dismissed.
Depressions in the foliage that look like giant human prints larger than my size 11 boot. Actual clear as day smaller human footprint (singular) in the mud of the trail only accessed by boat, with pointed toes, no other prints.
Woops in the distance in remote areas. Baseball bat noise after Is startled something large on a remote ridge, I thought “wow that would of made an echo someone distantly coulda thought gun shot”
My son has even been witness to screams with me. We were hunting a small spur coming off of a ridge, I was explaining how to use the wind at our back as it was blowing down into the run maybe 800 yards below. As soon as our scent blew, a scream that sounded like a mountain lion mixed with a man yell echoes out that bottom. Screams 2 more times and was moving so fast it became out of earshot after the second. Meaning it made the distance of the entire run (small crick) in record time. That run is not easy terrain even to hike, let alone run, and is probably a good mile to the lake. That thing had to be moving faster than anything I know about. We went home after that.
Whistles surrounding my camp in the mountains, after my hunting partner fell asleep.
My point is these things happen and you don’t really pay attention to see them, until you are forced to from an interaction that actually affects you. Just like the man talks about.

Bob, I have followed your works for years now. Anthropology was one of my favorite subjects in the University, and I found your research so similar.
I have been interested in BF since the first time I saw the Patterson film over 50 years ago and have studied volumes of info since then. In my humble opinion, they are real for me beyond doubt.
Lately, I have ponder if the disclosure of their existan is the right thing to do. I have come to the conclusion that for now, it won’t be better for them or us. Multiple factor. Wondering if you could create a vid discerning this points. Keep up the excellent work.

Bob, Thank you for approaching these stories with the serious candor they deserve. Most cryptid channels take a very dramatic and almost cartoonish approach, almost as though they are telling a campfire story to scare their campmates. It almost feels like a mockery of these encounters that very clearly had a profound impact on the subjects of these encounters, so it's quite refreshing to have found a channel that lends these stories the gravity they deserve. With your videos, I interpret a profound appreciation and deep desire to better understand that which very clearly does not intend to be understood. As a longtime fan, and even longer fan of things that go bump in the night, I appreciate what you do and am always looking forward to each upload.

I am always amazed how well these people can put their thoughts and experiences into word format and even more so once the artist puts those same words into images.
