I was expecting the meteor shower event from VE to be used, but I can see why you didn't
Vanilla Meteorites can't fall on pawns, there's a forbidden 23 tiles range around pawns where meteorites can't land
I know because i was a clip recorder for another RimWorld youtuber
It took me around 6 attempts to find the minimal range
Asked some modders and it's a 24*24 square around pawns (12 tiles radius) where meteorites can't land
here's a fun party idea: watch veequeue's 100 days videos and drink a shot everytime he says "alright".
U'll be completely wasted guaranteed xD
With this video you can get completely plastered every time he says "Daze: Silver"

I actually played this challenge myself (I thought this would be fun as well).
It's very fun with Igor the Invader (the one from vanilla expanded) who attacks every day.
If you had any noticable damage to your miners, the map becomes clogged up real fast

Hearing celeste music is just a joy, hearing it in tandem with seeing people dying? The best. The gameplay is also pretty cool.
I don't understand why people place hydroponics like a shuriken. We can just put 2 long rows of hydroponics and filling all well there is still just 4 tiles remaining (but I think we can not avoid them in any design). I mean long-rows design is much easier to remember and seem as efficient. Don't get why ppl do shuriken...

I did one per day on an extreme desert, naked brutality playthrough, and I just got immensely rich in the end.

Are there any ideoligion changes you can make so they have less mental breaks? It seems like all of these playthroughs are mostly nonstop mental breaks.
If you feel that the mental breaks are a bit too much for your taste you could look into the "Snap Out!" mod and the "Therapy" mod. I find the latter is especially balanced.

No mod needed for that. It is a core game feature. When choosing a scenario at the start of a game(Crashlanded, Lost tribe, Naked brutality, etc), you can edit it to suit your needs with various toggleables. In this case he just set an specific event on repeat so it fires ridiculously often :P
