@@MatthewTheWanderer not exactly - красная икра (red caviar) is perhaps the most common caviar in Eastern Europe/ex-USSR because it's not nearly as expensive and comes from salmon. No one would ever call that "imitation" caviar as the word caviar does not exclusively refer to sturgeon caviar...
LOL, the first 5 min really cracked me up! The 'visa process' for Turkmenistan you described in the beginning? - US Visa is pretty much the same thing for most of the non- Western countries! US visitor Visa process - Application fees, interviews, invitation letter/bank statements, waiting for months, accept/reject without reasons - my friend, everything and even more to be a tourist in your country!!
I just got to the part of the video where they said transportation is heavily car-dependent. That's not that different from America's transportation either, though some places are changing that slowly, you'll find that everywhere in the country was basically built with cars in mind. I live in a semi-rural area, and I have to either get someone I know to drive me or hire an Uber to get around as my street doesn't even have sidewalk and I don't drive. I actually am not a fan of this myself as it's somewhat inconvenient, but I'm an outlier as I know I just can't drive. I guess the equivalent in Turkmenistan would be to hire a taxi since, you know, no social media. But I'd imagine it's similar to our old fashioned taxis that some areas still have.
Haha yes exactly that part cracked me up as well, and not only US visa that process is almost universal for almost any country for people with weak passports, like India for example.
It’s funny cause the Turkmen visa process you described is actually not that different from the US visa process Brazilians need to get through to visit (and even transit) the US

This is our best vdo that.. it desrvers atleast a million views.. its not just a funky 'lets travel the world' vdo. the amount of work and and passion you have put to become what you are today is a testamonial to this vdo.
That's it, we demand a Geo Go episode moving forward! This vlog makes me want to go to Turkmenistan myself! My favorite, though, would have to be your interactions with the Alabay dogs, with the first one even showing its belly to Barbs! Animals just get drawn to people with kind souls, and you definitely have one, Barbs! 🥰🙏🏻🇹🇲
I love how amazing this country looks so clean and untouched
it's called dictatorship
Thank you for taking us with you. Not many people get to go and now we have at least seen.
Appreciated the helpful 0:40 preface - can't wait for the rest of the episode.
Fingers crossed Gus is able to visit Turkmenistan one day, and complete his goal of visiting every country.
I loved it.... especially the dogs parts 🤩
You are so inspiring, barbs. Love you, man.
Wow! What an experience to visit Turkmenistan 🇹🇲 ! 🛩️🌏
Loveyah, Barbs. Thank you for taking us to the world. Even I can't do of what you are doing.
Thanks and God bless. I hope, you can come to the Philippines, too to experience the people, the culture, and the beautiful landcapes of the country.
More love to you, dudz. ❤❤❤❤❤
Loved the entire episode, but I must admit that the dogs were the highlight for me!
Oh man they are EVERYWHERE in the country I only saw a different breed like ONE other time. And they are super gentle. Love them
Amazing video, amazing culture!
I am sending greetings to my Turkmen brothers from Istanbul, Türkiye!
Yaşasın Türkiye, yaşasyn Türkmenistan!
wow never knew before that Turkmenistan also has canyon similar like Grand Canyon, and it is not a river canyon but an ocean canyon. So cool!!!
Barbs! Thank you so much for documenting going somewhere where most of us cannot.
You would be a blast to travel with! Thanks for showing the stark beauty and joy of this very interesting slice of our world
The editing of this video is outstanding. Songs, format, and the way it maintains the momentum as you tell the story. Really, really nice.
These Geography GO videos are amazing, I hope you do many, many more of them, especially once all the countries are complete in Geography Now
16:20 I love this shot with the background music shot, it just feels so surreal!
My favorite part was when the fluffiest Alabay doggo came out of nowhere to get some pets and then dipped lmao so cute😭
It looks interesting I hope you enjoyed your journey
What a wonderful video. God bless❤
Geo Go is hit after hit! Can't wait for you to visit even more countries
Probably the best episode I've ever watched. It's special.
