I met Tzi Ma in the actual Chinatown of Los Angeles last month. He stopped into Lien Hoa, which is a Chinese deli. He came in to buy fermented bean curd, or fu yui. I told him that he did a good job in Mulan.
As a newbie to the acting industry it has been tough my first year. Not too many auditions for Asian American men, but I'm gonna keep at it. "Enjoy the process" really spoke to me, because often times auditions are super stressful because they mean so much to me, but I never really stop to enjoy the whole experience - which might be holding me back as well. Thank you Tzi for your wise words! :)
he was fantastic in the Farewell, I loved how he felt like a completely normal dad going through a rough time and his scenes with Akwafina were so great
This man is in everything.
As he should be. He's a phenomenal actor.

Amazing actor and underrated. I always remember him from Rush Hour!
He was in The Ladykillers too. A very underrated movie in my opinion.
Such an exceptional actor and artist..he's story so inspiring. I truly enjoy his work in film.
Sage advice from an accomplished actor who's been there and done that and his pride shines brilliantly.

I've enjoyed his work for years.
In a short but pivotal scene in the movie "Arrival," he is outstanding.
It's nice to see that Jack Bauer and Cheng Zhi has learnt to resolve their differences.

To be fair, the Chinese government didn't let Cheng rot in American prison. They get him back and let him rot in a Chinese prison.
His voice. 😮
He's a terrific actor but to me he's going to always be Council Han from Rush Hour.
OK. I know I am being watched. This pop up in my search after I just pick up my Chinese food.
Hi pronunciation of the word "actor" is as New York as it gets. Man, I miss that place!
