Mine had a factory defect where one of his leg hinges were deformed beyond repair, yet he was still solid as hell and it really posed no problem for the figure other than when he's being transformed. He's *that* good.
I unfortunately threw away my receipt before I opened him up, so I had no chance to return him, but you know it is a well-designed toy if it does not affect the overall play value of the toy
Got him when he came out. He's a happy in-between of Cybertronian vs. Earth-mode. I've seen comparisons of him to both Halo Warthogs & Hummers, sometimes in the same post. He's alien enough to be a proper Cybertronian off-road vehicle, but Jeep enough he won't stand out if put next to the Earthrise carsbots. Mine's currently sitting on Ravage, in his cage, courtesy of Centurion Drone, since Siege Soundwave can only accommodate so many Cassetticons.
Netflix siege hound was my second figure that got me back into buying transformers after POTP, him and cliff jumper are special to me because they helped me find inner peace, buying transformers again...
Nice! Glad to hear that, but be careful with that one. People tell me that's the one with the chance to break the head because the balljoint is painted.
When I saw the Siege line, Even though Optimus is my favorite character, Hound and Cog where the ones I wanted! One to complete Brave / Fort Max and the other one because was SO GOOD! Obvious which is which!
It felt weird that this figure is most people's first toy on Siege(including me) and what a great first impression of the line. Imagine bought Skytread instead, man, I would have never transformers toys nowadays and watched the G1 first 1-3 episodes. Hound is my favorite Autobot other than OP, Jazz and Cliffjumper from those episodes.
I love this guy, one of my favourite deluxes ever! The battle damage looks awesome on him. Also, the flap behind his head is supposed to hinge back to allow more head articulation☺
I'm sorry to hear that. You can get them on Amazon for the normal price if you really want a new one. www.amazon.com/Transformers-Generations-War-Cybertron-Autobot/dp/B07D5QS9QS
Great video PE! Hound was my second WFC figure and it also showed me what I’ve been missing for such a long time, more me it’s definitely one of the most satisfying transformations I enjoy doing over and over. I was wondering if you had any recommendation for deception figures, since I feel like I could use some more compared to my autobots. I currently have Kingdom Galvatron, Cyclonus, Runamuck, and Siege Soundwave
Flywheels/Skytread was solid. TR Triggerhappy is FANTASTIC. Titans Return Blitzwing totally worth it, though there will be a new Blitzwing in Legacy. Siege/ER Astrtrain. Those are all worthy additions.
Very late to the party, but I agree with you 100% on this figure, especially on how good the weapons are. I hold out hope we'll see modular weapons this good again.
Late as I was to getting back into collecting, it was already half way into Earthrise. As such, finding myself a hound took longer than most, next to Ratchet he was one of the last five in fact. My first experience with the mold was the Hot Shot repaint, very glad to have both now, easily one of my favorites. My one minor problem is the difficulty getting the shoulder canon to sit right in the shoulder port, but that could just be me doing it wrong.
Fuck. Yes. This honestly the best out of the siege deluxes. Great interesting transformation, the proportions are not a dumb mess like sideswipe and prowl. His weapons are so great and he is just a great well priced package.
Yea, short, but cheerfull review. And as for the figure it's self, it is very nice indeed. Whitch make's me wonder why Hazbro didn't try to use it more. Like, Cybertron Defence Hot-Shot remold is nice. But to say this figure has much, MUCH more potencial is an understatement. And I even gonna bet if they did Iron Fist remold, they would preaty much "fly off the shelfs" like crazy. Plus maybe characters like Crankcase, or maybe even Skids before they anouced his new figure. And as for the question of the video... You mentioned that after looking up Hound's gun, you where inspired to create all kinds of weapons attachments. With the only reason why that sparked snaped, been the lack of 3D printer. So, what kind of attachments you where thinking about?
Those would all work, but also I think a Swindle, and they could have retooled this to an Earthmode for ER. I designed all manner of magazine, I made it so the gun could be flipped upside down to be a different type of gun. Had scopes that could come off. I made a scope that was a 4 MM Peg with a blast effect peg on the front so it could be a light saber too. I had so many cool designs for it.
tbh i think his alt mode looks like a futuristic jeep but i still love his alt mode it looks great and if i can find on for cheap might pick it up it is rare to find siege figures nowadays
I got this one really late, way at the tail end of Kingdom, because I was kind of wishing we'd get an earth mode Hound. Once the initial Legacy listings started leaking I decided it would be better to have Cybertronian Hound than no Hound at all. I was dumb. For waiting as long as I did. This figure is awesome. I love his weapons, his transformation is kinda simple but fun and has exactly zero frustrating parts (unlike much of the Earthrise line-up), and it's just a great looking, very recognizable version of Hound. I'd still pick up an earth mode Hound if it came out, but I have zero regrets I got this one.
My first experience with this mould was Legacy Detritus And after I transformed it once I fell in love with it Also I think the head breaking thing was a problem with the Netflix version, not the normal one
Indeed thats a Problem with the Pain on the Netflix one getting on the Balljoint. And man if you like Detritus you will probably like this even more, because the detritus is just a more boring version of it.
I only just started collecting the WfC toys this year, so I missed most of the Siege stuff, picking and choosing which to mix in with the Earthrise stuff. When it seemed likely there wasn't going to be an Earthrise styled Hound, I thought about picking one up, and a few weeks ago while looking in Walgreens for Kingdom Red Alert, they had one Hound left, two or three years later than they should've, but I picked it up regardless.
@@PerspectiveEnd I haven't opened him yet as I'm currently hiding all of the toys. I did, however, open the GS Hotshot a few months ago before I had to hide everything, and I do like how he looks and feels to transform, though it is a little finicky.
Really cool toy with really cool exceseries although I never understood the promotional art for hounds blaster, wouldn’t it make more sense for the drum magazine to be on the left side of the blaster, so it would be easier to reload with his left hand, instead of having to reach around the right side of the blaster to reload I know that’s like a super tiny nit pick of the toy
That's where I like putting it because I think it looks good, there are examples of guns with side mounted magazines that point away from the user, but not too many. Could mean that it's a gun for a left hander, and he is using it righty.
4:57 or like the real life PIAT, which was essentially just a giant spring loaded tube that threw anti tank rounds. They were clunky, unreliable, and you had to get uncomfortably close to the target to use it. A lot of infantrymen hated it.
I was actually going to say the PIAT, but I assumed much of my audience might not know what that is. The PIAT was plenty Reliable, It just might not recock it self on firing.
I know I'm kinda late to this party, but, suggestion... If ya wanna put the cherry on top of this guy, get the ToyHax/Reprolables set for him... The roof and the GI Joe sticker kinda put it over the top, for me.
@@PerspectiveEnd I hear ya. With Hasbro not making an earth mode figure, for him, I kinda have the head cannon that he said “Nah, I don’t need to change my alt mode” when he saw GI Joe vehicles after coming to Earth. Yea, I’m kinda goofy, sometimes.
No surprise that there were issues with the regular Siege Hound, too. (I personally never heard about them until now) The head snapping off at the neck, however, is a thing that I've only heard about with the Netflix WFC-T version, seeing as how the first wave Deluxes (Hound, Sideswipe, Decepticon Mirage) were predominantly gray plastic haphazardly painted over. Hound was definitely one of the best figures in Siege despite his few flaws. For me, though, Mirage, Ironhide, Springer, & Ultra Magnus are favorites.
It might have been the Netflix version I saw with the head snapped off, I can't remember for sure. I love the Ironhide, I just wish the side panels didn't pop off so easily.
I was kinda hoping for more repaints/remoulds from hound. The hotshot isn’t bad just feels small to what he is representing but I was looking for a swindle/rollbar repaint they couldn’t combine but swindle did have appearance where we didn’t see him combine and rollbar cause we could use some more orange in siege. Another remould idea is combiner wars roller/rook mainly changing the front of the bumper and it could work.
Hound didn't get an 'earth mode' redo because he's the one that's already almost perfect as is. Recognizable easily as a 'jeep' but still a 'techno' looking to stand out. And the application of the weathering/damage paint aps MAKES SENSE. Look where it is. His chest, and his legs. Legs that the wilderness guy would constantly be wading through overgrowth as much as battlefields. And it's what would be the front grille/protector and undercarriage of his altmode, the places an offroad vehicle would most likely get scraped and scuffed up. Unlike later figures where it was just splattered on wherever.
That's going to be a little while. I don't want to over do those too quickly. It could pretty quickly become tired. I want it to be a treat every time one comes out.
If you can't think of what to review next, how about reviewing one a 3rd party figure? It'll help mix things up. The last time you reviewed a 3rd party figure was the Fanstoys Jetfire.
And then make a scorpion based off of generations warpath for good h-tank engineering lol (heres an old emgo review of it for reference: ua-cam.com/video/pshrH2UcWR0/v-deo.htmlsi=MebE5-bQ0ixFKTKL )
I honestly don't care that Hasbro isn't doing a full Earth mode Hound. Given the track record of Siege figures and their ER/Kingdom "upgrades", he'd probably end up with inferior construction or (worse) parts-forming. This guy is close enough (cyberpunk detailing aside) and he's the spitting image of G1 Hound in robot mode. Ironically, PE, my Siege collection started with Cog and -Skytread- Flywheels. I then moved on up to Siege Megatron (flaws aside, probably the best Voyager Megs in years) and got Red Alert (ooh that paint job), Impactor (I know he's why we didn't get Space Wheeljack, but he's a fun guy to fiddle with), Barricade (my only experience with the Siege Prowl mold and he's fantastic), that Micromaster 10-pack, Galaxy Upgrade Optimus, Hound, Spinister, Springer, and Astrotrain. Hound was among the last additions to my Siege collection!
Oh yeah, they probably would have given him a partsforming roof or something despite the fact that he shouldn't have one. Red Alert's Paint Job is soooo tasty. Oh man did you not get a Siege Prime. If not you need one trust me.
A friend of mine just got this figure for me and I’ll get it when he comes back from college in the fall, I cannot wait. This figure seems awesome. Totally could see a bulkhead retool with it as well, hound or brawn would be perfect for a bulkhead retool
@@PerspectiveEnd worse the neck connecting to the ball joint like in my area ive been seeing QC issues alot even with the boxes like my 86 blurr the box looks like it was chewed off
Ah yes, spike’s original partner before bumblebee replaced him. I don’t hate bumblebee, but its ridiculous that bumblebee took so many things from certain bots. Even hotshot, his replacement for the cybertron trilogy, was taken his original role for animated.

I've not heard that about hotshot but I have heard that the Netflix version had that which is what lead to the snapped heads.
Maybe I'm wrong about Hot Shot. Thought I'd heard it about both, but it's been quite a while since those released.
This guy was my first WFC figure, still absolutely love him
Seems to be the case with a lot of people, and yesh, he's just fantastic.
The siege hound was the best representation of hound to me I got him because i liked how earth mode like he looked yet futuristic like sideswipe
I do think he looks cool but to me there is very little Earth about him.
The tab on the left shoulder has a suuuuuppppeeeerrrrr gnarly stress mark :(
On yours or mine?
@@PerspectiveEnd mine, unfortunately
Man siege hound is just phenomenal!!!
Yeah, it's so much fun.
This reminds me of how great siege was.
Can we just Gush about Siege for a moment.
I really need to buy this, I always get distracted by other figures
Do buy it! Phenomenal figure!
I know exactly that feel.
When I saw the Siege line, Even though Optimus is my favorite character, Hound and Cog where the ones I wanted! One to complete Brave / Fort Max and the other one because was SO GOOD! Obvious which is which!
I knew a guy who wanted cog for the same reasons
I really wanted Hound to be a ER retool. Making him looking like the Willis Jeep.
The probably could have done that pretty easily.
Jazz is just so endlessly endearing. As for Skytread, I like that figure. I just don't think it's as good as this is.
@@PerspectiveEnd so true
I love this guy, one of my favourite deluxes ever! The battle damage looks awesome on him.
Also, the flap behind his head is supposed to hinge back to allow more head articulation☺
I never knew that about the head hinge. And it's one of mine too.
It's not that hasbro wants to use clear plastic. It's just that the regular plastic is kinda expensive to make for thousands of figures
I always thought clear plastic was the expensive stuff.
This was also my first siege figure and he broke like a year ago, but this video made me realize that I NEED another one
I'm sorry to hear that. You can get them on Amazon for the normal price if you really want a new one.

@@PerspectiveEnd oh, I didn’t know that, thanks for letting me know. Also keep up the fantastic content:)
I had a random idea that this figure could work well for a Doom Eternal crossover, idk why, I just feel like it would work as the Slayer
The colors fit, and I do think the Doom guy would drive one of these, if he wasn't just walking at 60 miles per hour.
Miss out on most of siege so never saw this
If you want one they are still on amazon for normal price.

Great figure, only problem with it are the ankle tilts
I think the Ankle tilts are ok but the toe is the weak spot.
I wish they'd give us a proper earth mode. All the Siege guys who had a Cybertronian mode got one.
Yet some how they didn't all get Cybertronian Modes...
Very late to the party, but I agree with you 100% on this figure, especially on how good the weapons are. I hold out hope we'll see modular weapons this good again.
At this point I wouldn't hold my breath. This was the one good version of that concept.
Hound was my first figure for siege as well, I wanted to upgrade from the combiner wars one I had really bad.
Seems to have been the case for a lot of people. I can only assume going from the CW one to this was like seeing in color for the first time.
Interestingly, Toyhax made a set that turns it into a bulkhead. It flips the head backwards and has some sort of 3d type sticker for his face...
I've seen that It was kind of cool.
I don't see how there could be a problem with the cannon unless it was missmanufacutred. And Ratchet was one of the last ones I got too.
Fuck. Yes. This honestly the best out of the siege deluxes. Great interesting transformation, the proportions are not a dumb mess like sideswipe and prowl. His weapons are so great and he is just a great well priced package.
I'd tend to agree with you. At least on the first half.
I mean that's what they were all supposed to look like. Future cars not Space cars so much. Cyberpunk.
I feel like the backpack is a little frustrating, but I'm glad you picked this up because it is an awesome figure.
Hound was retooled into Cybertron defense Hotshot that's probably why the boxart head looks like that to let us know it's coming
That's a very weird decision to put a different figures art on a box to teas something coming later.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah it kinda is
My first experience with this mould was Legacy Detritus
And after I transformed it once I fell in love with it
Also I think the head breaking thing was a problem with the Netflix version, not the normal one
Indeed thats a Problem with the Pain on the Netflix one getting on the Balljoint.
And man if you like Detritus you will probably like this even more, because the detritus is just a more boring version of it.
At least Siege Prime didn’t have seats.
Why is that relevant.
Nice. And how are you liking it.
The PIAT was plenty Reliable, It just might not recock it self on firing.
the head has good articulation you just didn't fold back the flap on the back of his head
I would never have know that without being told about it.
I know I'm kinda late to this party, but, suggestion...
If ya wanna put the cherry on top of this guy, get the ToyHax/Reprolables set for him... The roof and the GI Joe sticker kinda put it over the top, for me.
See I don't want that. This is Cybertronian Hound for me, so him being part of GI Joe doesn't make sense.
I really like this figure
One of my favorites of the line too.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah it is the Netflix version that has the neck snapping issue, not the mainline Siege release
Siege is pretty much Hasbro’s best work. Especially Hound, my dad’s favourite in the Bay films 💚
I can say for sure that he is very different in every media other than the Bay Films.
I got the gen selects hot shot a while before the price doubled and I’m so glad I did. One of my favorite figures in my collection.
Nice! I wish i picked that up at some point.
Canned air is the miracle cleaner for dust, if you can, i recommend it. Though if the dust builds to heavily, it might not work that well.
I do have that stuff, and yeah, it only works so well. It can be super helpful, but there are limits to it's power.
Yeah this could have worked for a swindle, or a Bulkhead.
@@PerspectiveEnd i saw a custom swindle repaint online once
@@cyranantone8430 Sometime customs go up, that's how I got my Space Wheeljack.
I would have liked to seen an even earthier mode in ER but this is great already.
And yes I do think it makes the most sense where he has it.
Still waiting on you roasting the beast machines designs. XD
That's going to be a little while. I don't want to over do those too quickly. It could pretty quickly become tired. I want it to be a treat every time one comes out.
Great video! I should have bought him when I saw him.
Yeah, some other people said they passed him up too. I'd say he's good enough to track down even still provided you don't over pay for him.
It's because IT IS Hotshot head, just in green
Yeah, but it's got Springers face.
I think the head problem is only exclusive to the Netflix version from what I've seen
You may be right about that, I don't remember what box I saw the broken head one in.
If you can't think of what to review next, how about reviewing one a 3rd party figure? It'll help mix things up. The last time you reviewed a 3rd party figure was the Fanstoys Jetfire.
I suppose that was a good while ago.
This figure feels like it could be retooled into a halo warthog that turns into master chief lol
And then make a scorpion based off of generations warpath for good h-tank engineering lol (heres an old emgo review of it for reference: ua-cam.com/video/pshrH2UcWR0/v-deo.htmlsi=MebE5-bQ0ixFKTKL )
I'm just surprised they havent done that yet.
1:14 Funny thing is, Toyhax released a conversion set for this figure to turn him into Bulkhead
I did not know that before posting this video.
A cool fact about his alt mode is that he can fit at least one titan master in the driver’s seat. Kinda
I would not describe that as fitting at all.
It’s funny you say that hound could be remolded into bulkhead, toyhax made a label set that converts hound into bulkhead.
I did not know about that before making this video.

Hound is a fat ballerina in the movies
And he jiggles weirdly.
Ah a hound review.
Will there be a siege seeker review in the future also should the nullrays of seekers be on the forarm or bear the shoulder?
I’ve heard of Minus the Bear, but I’m not familiar with Bear the Shoulder.
I'm trying to slowly work my way around to all of Siege at some point.
still waiting for the best earth mode hound
And what would you say the best is?
@@PerspectiveEnd Movie the best hound just because he has a lot of weapons and we need more figures that have a Armory of weapons
Dude idea 💡 through back reviews I'd love to see you review some older figures like unicron trilogy or universe 2.0.
Don't have too many figures like that. But maybe.
I got this figure on Amazon for 15 bucks.
It was worth every single penny. I love Siege Hound.
Nice, that's a total steal!
Where's Waspinator
WHERE IS IT
I NEED IT
IMMA GO POSTAL
Wave four should be here soon, then it will just be about finiding it.
A friend of mine just got this figure for me and I’ll get it when he comes back from college in the fall, I cannot wait. This figure seems awesome. Totally could see a bulkhead retool with it as well, hound or brawn would be perfect for a bulkhead retool
The car mode also looks like a halo warthog
NICE! The fall isn't too far away. And yeah I do think it looks a little like a Warthog.
@@PerspectiveEnd the fact that you actually respond to comments and have a community is honestly magical, it’s such a breath of fresh air
Sadly my hound was hurt by QC and it was his neck which is sad bc he was one of my favorite figures
I take it your's had the head break off?
@@PerspectiveEnd worse the neck connecting to the ball joint like in my area ive been seeing QC issues alot even with the boxes like my 86 blurr the box looks like it was chewed off
What would you feel if the Swindle was a heavy retool of this guy?
I'd like that, provided we get an actual Combiner Swindle later.
Ah yes, spike’s original partner before bumblebee replaced him. I don’t hate bumblebee, but its ridiculous that bumblebee took so many things from certain bots. Even hotshot, his replacement for the cybertron trilogy, was taken his original role for animated.
Bumblebee is a Greedy little SOB.
