There were a couple of Huh o's, but nothing serious. The very common running the wrong way through a turnout. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Thanks Anthony!
That was great, Dennis. It gives you a chance to work the bugs out and not get your chops broken with a regular crew. The layout looks wonderful and the family looked like they had fun. The kids love the camera, momma, not so much, lol.
Yeah, the wife is a little camera shy, but she did enjoy picking up imaginary hobos at all the stations! Unfortunately the others were only visiting for a week or so. They live in Montana, so no regular crew!
Very cool to see the family railroading together, Dennis. It’s great when your layout lets you do ops sessions or just running the trains. Happy ya, brother. 😁😎👍🏼
Overall it went really well. There were a couple of driving errors due to misaligned turnouts but everything ran smooth. Now I have a pretty good idea of how a more serious session might go.
Yes, it all went very well. Only a few short circuits due to misaligned turnouts but the circuit breakers worked and there wasn't any serious issues. Thanks for stopping by Paul!
That was fun to watch!!! Enjoyed the music too!!!! You have a GREAT layout Dennis!!!! Can't wait to see some scenery, but run it and run it to find any faults first!!!! It's easy to change stuff before scenery is put down!!!! Wish my family would run with me!!!!
Thanks Dave! Yes, there is a lot of self induced pressure to start scenery but I know I should operate as much as possible to find issues before I begin. Thanks for stopping by!
@@OtterCreek I think I ran my layout for about a year before I tarted any real scenery. I worked out any bugs while the working was easy. Love the layout!!! COOL!!!
I'm not sure how to answer. Over on this side of the ocean this is called HOn3. HO scale and 3 feet Narrow Gauge. It is 1:87 scale or what I think equates to 1:221 centimeters. The prototype track, rail head to rail head measures 3 feet, or just shy of one meter. I'm not sure what the modeled track measures, it's probably a bit over scale from the prototype. Hope that helps! Thanks for stopping in!
@@OtterCreek Thanks, than you can use or use standard Peco tracks and it is more or less 12mm. Thanks, we call it H0m, but it is still narrow gauge. Your steam locomotives look awesome! And your layout is incredible. 😍 Thanks for sharing!
What area of Montana are they from? If they're close by I'd love to invite them to an operating session at my Friend's Mullan pass Layout that i do a lot of filming on.
All fun time…smiles and no frowns or huh o’s 👍🏽

wow, that is awesome
@@afleetcommand thanks!
Is it me or is it exciting to see young people getting into the hobby?
I agree, it's nice to see kids actually interact with human beings, and trains!
That looked like fun. I love the Conductor's hat. Gotta get me one of those.
LOL, the hat was a Christmas present a few years ago. She also had a whistle to go with it.
Great way to
Spend time as a family!
I think everyone really enjoyed it!
looking good, and it only gets better from there I'm sure.

That is very cool! The entire family is running the layout, and they know they know how. Congratulations sir, your family is amazing.
Thank you very much! Everyone did very well considering it was all their first time to mess with trains and turnouts.
Cool to see your family enjoying ops on the layout.
Thanks Roy!
Awesome to share the hobby with family! Your layout looks great. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Thanks! I still have a lot to do, but it's a labor of love.

It did! I think they enjoyed "playing trains". lol
I think I've seen 2 of your helpers before. They look very familiar. 😂
LOL, could be!

Amazing! Stupid question from the other side of the ocean: is this 12mm or 10mm? I don't know what it is in inch.
