@@HowTheLabelWorks La version que nous connaissons est celle en francais "Ce n'est qu'un aurevoir" qui utilise cette mélodie. Wow je ne savais pas que c'était originalement une mélodie Irlandaise.
i know what you mean, my wife comes from the border of Ontario and Quebec, she's also french, what i say is totaly different between european french (what I've learnd of in school, and quebecois) therefore the guys were misleaded somehow (in the funny way though)
The thing is that everyone thinks of france when they hear french because it's the official language of the country and because it has the name of the language (almost). We, the québécois are not know because we're in Canada. I feel like some people think that the french are just everywhere around the country and that there's only a few of them. But they don,t realize that we're almost all in the same place. If Québec was country, we would be well known and americans and canadians would learn québcois instead of french! I don't want us to separate, but you know... I really hate that movies are translated in france. Me I always whink this: Why can't they translate it here! HEY! We're over here! Hey! I think these are the only reasons were not known... :(
I understand what you say and believe me we all know about Quebec even if is part of Canada. And I'm from Romania, a country half of a size of Quebec :))
You're from roumania? Well, I just said that I felt like nobody knows that we exist, but... They know, but, why is french still known a thousand times more than québec? Each time someone from the united-states (sorry I hate calling them americans) tries to speak frnech they try to replicate the france accent? Our accent was influenced by ensglish acent ( I think?). French people have a lot of trouble speaking ensligh and english people have a lot of trouble speaking french form france. We, québécois, can speak the two easily! Why aren't they trying to learn our version of french if it's easier to learn?!! I know, that we speak fast, but... I don't mind if they use france words, but I hate that they use their accent and our accent is not taught anywhere.
What part of Sweden is he from? The West Coast?
