I've been enjoying your channel, my first time commenting though. I like the clean read aspect! I'm also a redhead 💙... I started following you on Goodreads as I just joined. My only form of social media besides UA-cam. Until next time, happy reading 📚
Ah, June, your message means so much to me. Thank you for commenting here AND following on Goodreads. I'm so glad I'm not the only one that likes to keep reading clean. It's such a comfort. Those redheads are special! 💙 UA-cam and Goodreads are my only social media too! Kindred spirits. Until next time, [hehe] 💙💙💙
I’m excited about the book club! I am a seasonal reader as well and I’m ready for a beach read. I heard about Strawberry Girl on Kate Howe’s channel and thought it’d be a fun vintage read. I love strawberries z! 🍓 That painting of the lady in the chair had a Rockwell feel to it. If you read Becoming Mrs. Lewis I might like to read along with you. Loved your book haul!
Yay!! I'm so excited too! The seasonal mood vibe is so powerful, isn't it? As each new season approaches, it gets me more excited to read than anything. That's awesome about Strawberry Girl. I will have to look Kate Howe up. Yes to the Rockwell feel! I would love to read Becoming Mrs Lewis with you. Are you on Goodreads? Maybe you can "friend" me (if you haven't already, and we can chat there)! Thank you for hanging out here, new friend!! 💙💙
@@OldeAmericanSpirit I think we are Goodreads friends. I’m reading a little slower right now since I’m doing longer Bible readings for my other challenge. Will that be a problem? With the weekend I will have more time though.
@ReadJournalLove completely fine! I will be reading slower too since I have so many going at once & with ‘Love Overboard’ starting Wednesday. I looked for you with your channel name but couldn’t find you. Will try again!
I am so excited to join the summer book club and just ordered Love Overboard this morning! I also and going to check out Denise Hunter book, those look great also. The pics in The American Spirit are wonderful, will be on the hunt to find that book. Thanks for the great video!

I plan to read the two Denise Hunter books too, so message me if you'd like to let me know when you start those! The American Spirit book is lovely. I am not an artist AT ALL so I am amazed at those paintings. So glad you enjoyed. SO glad you are here! 💙
I had no idea either until I started visiting one at the end of last year. They were sending books to troops then. The last two times I've been in this year, they have been sending yummy coffee to the troops. There is signage on the front doors, within the stores, AND they ask you if you'd like to send the coffee when you are purchasing your stash. When I bought these books this time, I was able to write a little encouraging note to send along with the coffee. Absolutely sold me on Books A Million! Spread the Word! 💙💙
Oh, Yay. Good to know. I've always avoided biblical fiction because I wasn't sure about writers taking too much liberty with scripture or being inaccurate. But I was VERY impressed with Jill's writing. It made me want to dig into those specific scriptures even more. Win-Win! I will have to check out Mesu too if you like her! Thank you!
@@OldeAmericanSpirit your welcome! Mesu Andrews has a wonderful testimony, she actually did not like biblical fiction and said she would never write it. Well God knew differently🤣.
I went to your Goodreads page to send you a note and I saw that it was set to private... so I went to UA-cam. Just wanted to say hello 🤗👋. Hope you are doing well!
Oh goodness! I was messing around with settings the other day to set up the Summer Book Club group. I just fixed it!! You can send me a message on GR now! Hello, friend! It's hot as blue blazes where I am in the south - whew - SO hot and no rain. All the grass and my flowers are cryin.' I've been having excellent reading days!💙
Thank you, friend! I have A LOT to get 'reading' since I just finished May's TBR. [hehe] I've heard a lot about that 1776 author and book. Can't wait! Let me know if you start reading it this month!
So good to know. I have bought 'The Letter from Briarton Park' and now the 'Hollythorne' one. The covers are always so dreamy - pulls me in every time. Which ones have you read?
Love book hauls! Oh, I'm sad I won't be able to participate in the book club reading. My library doesn't have that book. They did have Bookshop by the Sea though, so I'll be reading that book all by my lonesome. LOL Just a heads up about the book 1491 it is an evolution environmental propaganda book. 1776 is good and I'd recommend An Artist in Treason: The Extraordinary Double Life of General James Wilkinson by Andro Linklater and then Valiant Ambition by Nathaniel Philbrick. It's amazing the colonists won. Seriously, amazing. My son says I need to read Washington by Ron Chernow next. (it's a door stopper! LOL) I have added 1775 to my tbr. Thank you. I had never heard of it. I will reserve my thoughts on Becoming Mrs. Lewis until you've read it. Happy reading. I hope your book club is a lot of fun.
Thank you So much for your thoughts, warnings, and recs! I’m sad you can’t join the book club, but totally understand. I will be reading Bookshop this month also. Feel free to message me on Goodreads when you are about to start! I appreciate you ❤️
You are just the sweetest, Susan! I mean it! I'm confused about the Goodreads group. I can not find ANY notifications where anyone has tried to join.
