First of all, let me congratulate Fabijan on a fantastic game and a well-deserved victory. Being from Serbia, this victory is even more dear to me because it comes from a guy from a neighboring country...enjoy it, neighbors.
If Marozsan can keep up this type of tennis, if this wasn't a once in a lifetime performance, then we are witnessing another Djokovic. His forehand motion, his sliding backhand, serve motion, dropshot precision, looks nearly identical to Djokovic. But as others have mentioned, we will see over time. All the tennis greats have been upset in stages of their careers. They're great because they bounce back even from a big upset. Let's see if Marozsan can snowball from this big victory today. Well done Fabian!

It's like seeing a mirror image of Alcaraz, but with more panache and grace: strategic attacking tennis, all court game, massive forehand and the icing-- impeccable and feathery drop shots. And the cherry on top of Maozsan's game: No annoying or delayed grunts.
@@Fraudkovic Fluke isn't the right word. An example of a fluke would be losing a Chess game against an inferior opponent in 5 moves because you totally had a brain fart and didn't see something you should have. In fact, you're actually insulting Carlos by suggesting that any idiot can beat him on any given day. You are better off giving credit where it's due instead of crying about it.
Dude played Alcaraz's game better than Alcaraz today. This new generation of players is exciting to watch already. Hope they stay healthy for many years to come.
Maroszan is 23 years old. He is almost 4 years older than Carlos. He will be 24 later this year. He didn’t go the usual route of playing Junior Circuit. That’s why no one has seen his game. This is his first ATP main draw appearance. Can you believe that? He has only been playing the ITF circuit, playing Challengers. Just unbelievable.
I've watched the match just because of Fabian Maroszan's incredible new presence in the tennis arena. Absolutely- I'll be following his tennis apprentices. Congratulations Fabian!🎾👍
Alcaraz does NOT own the drop shot. Lol. As a matter of fact I'd place him just above average. The highlights only show his successful drop shots. Watch a full match and you'll see he misses as many as he makes
Just wow! With the drop shot becoming such a valuable weapon, I wonder how much it will cause these players to play closer to the baseline. Hope Marozsan has the goods to keep it going.

And the most interesting thing is that I thought that Alcaraz had no equal in the grid, but this guy from here surpassed him, it was just amazing to watch over this. Hopefully in the future this guy will be in the top 20 or top 10. Because looking at all this, he really has a good chance of it
This is professional sport, you need to be able to afford your team day by day. It is different if you have your hitting partner, trainers, physio, family in a 5 star hotel with you every tournament, or you travel alone in your car and stay in a hostel. Many of the lower rank players are just as talented as the top 50, but lacking sponsors... Marozsan buys his own rackets.. Alcaraz has a 10 million EUR budget to prepare for the same tournaments..

Also, Alcaraz was a Good Sport, he accepted the fact that he was defeated, at least for this time, nice and square... Alcaraz is young, decent and a real champion too...
Unreal! Marozsan may yet have the best dropshots on tour. On top of that, he was on fire on both wings, as well as his anticipation and footspeed, and played with hellbent, reckless abandon with incredible accuracy. Pretty much unplayable.
Incredible performance by Marozsan with a similar style to Alcaraz. What I like most of this guy is that he is a silent player, no grunting. Hope he gets far and maintains a good level to be a great player.

So what happens to this new brand of Tennis which we are witnessing with fitness, skill, speed, style and grace, is it a new era from the last Top 3 whom we admired for 3 decades, a change eventually had to happen. So many young, vibrant players with beauty and gloss to add to many of their attributes. What a likeable humble young man no crazy celebrations. I hope he does well in future.
I really like how calm and concentrated Maroszan played! 👏🏻
Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing a superstar right here. Enjoy the moment my friends.
IF, IF, IF does NOT exist. (Quote by Rafael P. Nadal)
Hahaha , what. Guy is turning 23 soon. He is back losing challenger matches is no time. Game of his life, cannot be replicated
@@hyphorse It is possible for people to randomly perform beyond their talents on any given day - but to do it against one of the best in-form players at the moment is another story. Tennis is about confidence and Fabian just earned some. Back to losing challengers? You sound like a fanboy who only watches sports to root for your guy instead of enjoying the actual sport.
They will figure him out very quickly. But he will rise for sure imo
Well said
Some of the shots were unbelievable!! Everyone talking about the perfect dropshots, yes indeed those were scary !! But the forehand down the line falling backward he hit in the tiebreak was absolutely unreal
right?!? and the down the line backhand winner at 5-5 duece. incredible shots
Back here after Marozan has shown this victory was no fluke or freak performance. He thrashed Rune 6-1 6-1 at Miami and others in 2024.
It's like seeing a mirror image of Alcaraz, but with more panache and grace: strategic attacking tennis, all court game, massive forehand and the icing-- impeccable and feathery drop shots. And the cherry on top of Maozsan's game: No annoying or delayed grunts.
Lol already on your knees for a fluke win . Watch him get dismantled next match and you'll never hear about him In a year.
@@Fraudkovic Fluke isn't the right word. An example of a fluke would be losing a Chess game against an inferior opponent in 5 moves because you totally had a brain fart and didn't see something you should have.
A tennis match is typically 2-3 hours. Carlos had plenty of time to turn things around, but he couldn't because his opponent was consistently making good plays the entire match. Not a fluke. In fact, you're actually insulting Carlos by suggesting that any idiot can beat him on any given day. You are better off giving credit where it's due instead of crying about it.
@@OmegaMouse Well said!
@@Fraudkovic Exactly!
@@OmegaMouse Spoken like Newton himself, my dude 👏👏👏
I have no words, this was an insane display of Tennis I haven't seen the likes of in a very long time from someone I have never heard of before today
This is true. That game was very special. I must see again. Marozsan will be a player like Federer. This elegance hit me.
@@guyetundi5501 Will be a player like Djokovic!!!!
If this was the final…. It could suffice!!
A dosage of his medicine! Using Carlos' drop shots to him in such terrific style! You can see the frustration! 😮😮😮. Just simply amazing 🎉
Monster play by Fabian 👏
I've watched the match just because of Fabian Maroszan's incredible new presence in the tennis arena. Absolutely- I'll be following his tennis apprentices. Congratulations Fabian!🎾👍
How wonderful Marozsan! His dropshot killed dropshot of Alcaraz! Fascinating!
What an incredible match. The fact that he used Alcaraz’ drop shots to beat him was so satisfying to watch 😆💪🏼
He did not used Alcaraz's drop dhots, Marozsan has always been using these drop-shots. He was always outstanding in it.
Alcaraz does NOT own the drop shot. Lol. As a matter of fact I'd place him just above average. The highlights only show his successful drop shots. Watch a full match and you'll see he misses as many as he makes
Gino you right
Just wow! With the drop shot becoming such a valuable weapon, I wonder how much it will cause these players to play closer to the baseline. Hope Marozsan has the goods to keep it going.
Wow! Brilliant game by FabianM. Alcatraz looked unbeatable prior to this match! Tennis is full of fascinating surprises. That's what makes it fun to watch.
That stunning FH winner at 4-4 in the TB when his body weight is going backwards, that BH DTL winner at 5-5 deuce was a Djoker special, epic drop shots beating Alcaraz at his own game, great match from Fabian, hope he keeps winning :)
Those drop shots! Alcaraz got a taste of his own medicine today. What a performance
He let alcaraz taste his own medicine
Exactly! Nice to watch.
Szenzációs játék, hatalmas siker! Azok a finom rövidítések....!!!!! Szeretettel gratulálok!!!! Csak így tovább!!!!👏👏👏
Well said, that's exactly what I mean!
My god this guy's gameplay was so scary i swear. His backgand precision and forehand power are both insane.
Not only that but finally a player after alcaraz who can do great dropshots anytime.
I have a feeling this guy is gonna be a big problem in rolland garros too
I don't know about Roland Garros, but in the months and the years to come, he's gonna be No1 problem for Alcaraz and other younger and older players.
Lol my prediction is you won’t remember his name coming next year … Federer once lost to 100 ranked player do you remember his name ? No one does
@@aminur1982 I had the same feeling.... he probably got possessed today because there is no way anyone can maintain those almost perfect drop shots all the time
@@theUroshman He plays one incredible Match. Thats Tennis that happens sometimes like Nadal vs Rosol Wimbledon 2012 and where he now???
It's weird that his forehand is so potent because he slaps the shot with a floppy arm like Medvedev does.
While watching this video, you wonder why this guy is in 123 place in the rating. He won the first set with such ease and in general played in this mast with such power and with such precision that it's just amazing. And the most interesting thing is that I thought that Alcaraz had no equal in the grid, but this guy from here surpassed him, it was just amazing to watch over this. Hopefully in the future this guy will be in the top 20 or top 10. Because looking at all this, he really has a good chance of it
When you play top seed, you have nothing to lose mentality
This is professional sport, you need to be able to afford your team day by day. It is different if you have your hitting partner, trainers, physio, family in a 5 star hotel with you every tournament, or you travel alone in your car and stay in a hostel. Many of the lower rank players are just as talented as the top 50, but lacking sponsors... Marozsan buys his own rackets.. Alcaraz has a 10 million EUR budget to prepare for the same tournaments..
this is his 5th ATP match
Hiszünk benned !!!!!!!Nagyot játszottál....így tovább....És higyjél te is magadban...mindenki legyözhető.....Okos jó játékos vagy !!!!
Does not matter if he loses in next round which he ,most likely ,will but beating Alcaraz on clay with such confidence is commendable...
I do not think so.. He has a fair chance against Coric.
If he keeps playing like this he's not going out anytime soon
Excuse me? Will lose? Most likely? I’m sorry, but is it perhaps possible that maybe your eyes were closed or something when you were watching this match this morning? If he keeps up this level of play, he can certainly advance a bit further than the next round.
@@theviniso I know, I’ve never seen such an ignorant comment in my life!
Coric will whip him hard.hes naught will feel it.
one of the biggest upsets, if not THE biggest upset of the year... FABIAN MAROZSAN REMEMBER THE NAME 😤😤😤
Incredible! It feels like watching young Djokovic vs young Nadal. Congrats Marozan 🎉🎉
haha thats ridiculous. Nadal and Djokovic do not play this way at all. I actually think these guys game is more entertaining actually
@@gmmgmmgClearly you haven't watched them in their prime 😂
@@gmmgmmg that said , how are you roaming in the streets with a phone in hand and typing shit. Asylums have to be opened in every area to support people like you
@@gmmgmmg What? Young Nadal or Djoko would wipe the floor with both quite easily actually.
@@nyali2 I haven't said these two are stronger than Nadal and Djokovic (although I consider Alcaraz in the same category). I just said I find their game much more entertaining. Djokovic and Nadal are all defence and baseline. Alcaraz is defence, attack, dropshot , lobs, trickshots, serve and volley. I'd definitely rather watch him play than those two, especially Djokovic...I find his tennis the most boring (even though incredibly effective)
This is just my personal opinion
Fabian = self control , discipline , concentration---CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Goodness gracious!!! Fabian Marozsan drop shots were sniper level accurate.
wow, these drop shots... when even Alcaraz cant get them you know how good they are
Just a WOW performance . Definitely deserves this win 👏🏻
Once-in-a-lifetime performance my Marozsan.
What a joy to watch.
The depth and penetration on his forehand was superb.
I also loved the way he moved forward and finished after hitting his dropshots.
What? He just started at the ATP... why once in a lifetime? He's 23 haha, for all we know he's just a good player who'll drop quick in the rankings.
@@federicorusso4378 His results on the challenger tour this year have not been very impressive.
Losses to Alexander Wels, Abdullah Shelbayh and Zsombor Piros in the last month alone.
Not much there to suggest he would suddenly go nuclear like this.
You don't know that
@Transistor Jump It's an expression.
Having said that, I would be very surprised if he has another top-10 win anytime soon.
His fairly mediocre results at Challenger level doesn't seem to indicate a player that can do this sort of thing very often.
That's what the commentary was also saying like he didn't deserve to be or play like this ..come on. His journey has just started!🤞
Fabian once again proved that it is possible to make whipping boys out of champions. Haven't seen such a smart game in a long time. Bravo!
So much for Alcaraz being able to adjust. Beaten by his own style.
Fabian today is a better version of Alcaraz with a Sinner like forehand/serve, great potential
Never heard or saw (videos) Fabian Marozsan before... You are most welcomed, young man!... Today, Fabian was perfection... But, what I liked more, was his calm court behaviour... No antics, not hysterical gestures of victory, not playing the crowd in his favour... And, at the end, supreme calm, self confidence and dignity... As a real champion!... Greetings from Australia... Also, Alcaraz was a Good Sport, he accepted the fact that he was defeated, at least for this time, nice and square... Alcaraz is young, decent and a real champion too...
Yesterday I would say that Alcaraz had the best drop shot in tennis history ... today I would not say that ...
I've been watching him play for months now...thank god his hard work payed off
Unreal! Marozsan may yet have the best dropshots on tour. On top of that, he was on fire on both wings, as well as his anticipation and footspeed, and played with hellbent, reckless abandon with incredible accuracy. Pretty much unplayable.
These dropshots cannot be closer to the net, amazing
Carlos getting a taste of his own medicine with those dropshots🤣🤣🤣
Cocky Carlos wasn't flashing his toothy smile so much in this one. Adios, Alcaraz! 🤟
He beat him with “drop shots” that were better than HIS- 😂❤ bravo!!! 🎉
Well done Marozsan. Unbelievable play.
I did not see the match but what I just saw in this highlights was crazy. Marozsan played like Federer prime here wtf haha
Csodálatos győzelem Fábián, büszke vagyok Rád. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
I like how this young man celebrates his points wins, it's not in the oppent's face! It's personal to him. There's so much dignity in that.
Incredible performance by Marozsan with a similar style to Alcaraz. What I like most of this guy is that he is a silent player, no grunting. Hope he gets far and maintains a good level to be a great player.

Could cut and paste this moment in a Djokovic moment, people might not notice the difference
Spectacular
😅 Good spot. Well done👍
Imagine watching a Tennis TV video with Alcaraz in it, but it’s not an Alcaraz fan made video. Well done Marozsan!!
We are proud of you Fábián :)
It's really stunning! Well done Fabian, great match.
Best display of drop shots in a match that I have seen in a long time. Well done Fabian.
Well done Fabian 👏🎾😍❤️
Wow!!! That was incredible tennis. Go Fabian!
To be the best you have to beat the best. Fabian Marozsan is showing he has what it takes by beating the man who can beat everyone else. He can have confidence he has what it takes as he works his way up the ranking and tournament experiences.
Alcaraz got a taste of his own medicine. Today Marozsan played the better Alcaraz style. Good job.
Fabulous Fabian🏆💫cool as a cucumber when he beat nr 2 in the world during his debut Atp tournament 💚
Did you like cucumber? Where?😅
Getting a taste of his own medicine from the #135. Incredible.
Well done Marozsan! Keep up the great work and keep believing! Well deserved win!!!❤❤❤❤
Today, the players are all good, which is an understatement when you're looking for the best when making a Bet. I loved Fabians odds today, but I never had a bet. Love the game and the players, it's a new generation, but the last generation is never forgotten. Embrace and Enjoy Tennis
Amazing tennis. The bonus is no annoying grunts even on clay.
Congratulations Mr. Marozsan!!! My goodness, all those drop shot winners!!! Golf = Dive for show, put for dough… Tennis: Serve for show, drop shots for dough!
Thanks a lot mazozsan ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
AMAZING!!!! I WANNA WATCH THIS MATCH AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.... AND AGAIN...!!!
Perfect title again! Thanks Tennis Tv! You spoil results like no one
Exactly! It would've been a surprise if the result wasn't spoiled.
4:13 Remember the name "Fabian Marozsan"
Those drop shot are from no where !
I wish to see him playing with the KING Novak.
No.2 at 19 vs No.135 at 23.
What a game.
