Hi! I’m from San Antonio TX and I’m studying to be a civil engineer. If I’m wanting to be apart of a huge company is it best to start off at a smaller firm and work my way up or try to get into a big firm right off the bat so I have that connection? Thank you for your time!
@@giselleceleste141 Giselle are you at UTSA? If so, I would highly suggest checking out ASCE/SHPE/SWE to grow your network and get prepared for the job interview. In regards to the steps, I suggest you aim directly at the company you want to work for. I have coached and have friends that have had internships/co-ops with global companies while in school and have graduated with job offers. If you already know the companies you are thinking about, I would start building your network with working professionals that can advocate for you once you put your resume in front of them. Do you know what companies you would be interested in?
Is there any chance you could do a video on civil/structural engineer working for aerospace companies? I saw the video with Dr. Nehemiah, but he eventually worked on civil projects. It would help me a lot if I knew more about this career path. Great video as always!

There are very few landscape architects employed in the USA. Only 24,000 with -2% growth each year so I’m not super optimistic about it to be honest. If you have the math skills and like design and infrastructure type of things, then I think you should do civil, 330,000 jobs in the USA. Thanks!!

I would like to ask you a question if its allowed to ask and if not , i would completely understand. Im currently facing a dilema between choosing two diferent civil engineering universities , with different philosphies as from two diferent European countries . It is possible to ask you questions about this , im 25 y old , and at my age i should take a wise choise as 'there's no point of return ' in the sense that i've already made hell of mistakes on my early 20s and now i need to be efficient Thanks and have a grat day
