Could you do a video on how owning a civil engineer firm works. How the owner get paid how it works. And if even you could be a millionaire by owning a small or big firm. Please always wanted to know how it works owning a civil engineer firm
I love bridge inspection! But that might be because it is only about 10% maximum of my job in the past three years. Regardless, bridge inspection definitely helped the first year out of school to help me better understand all that goes into a complete bridge and how all the pieces fit together. Also, I love the ASCE reference!
yeah i think if you do bridge inspection elements 60-80% or more of the time, you will hate it, so i love that insight Dani. ASCE all the way, yuppppp, thanksss
Yes, other than knowing your stuff, taking accountabilities for mistakes and being personable and team player will go very, very far. Not to mention also FOLLOW UP. Another great production, Jake 👍
The math that I do in university, will I use it when I start working? I mean I enjoy it and it's a lot, I'm just wondering if it's all relevant or not... Great video by the way, I loved it.
you will use some of it, but mostly all of it is just to have you understand the foundation, teach you how to learn and think, and make sure you're ready for the real stuff. You'll learn a bunch of new niche stuff on the job
probably do what i did and get a job in your home country where they have offices in the country you want to work in, and figure out a transfer project. I started for a firm in Chicago and in about 20months had taken an assignment in Vancouver, BC, Canada and ended up staying there for nearly 4 years
I have been trying to find the right engineering discipline for a while now. I'm interested in both Renewable Technology and Water. Providing power and water for people (also fighting climate change). I'm a Sophomore so I haven't seen much yet, but this question has been bugging me. Could anyone share some insight to help me with my decision (don't have to make it today)?

Hey jake, I’m a sophomore in cc for engineering and I’m transferring to an engineering school next year for civil engineering. I going to be honest, I’m not the best in math, I understand it, but my algebra is not on point and i get super nervous on tests/exams. I was wonder what type of mathematics concepts/ theories do civil engineers use on a day to day basis and do you have to do it by hand? Do you have to be the best in math for civil engineering?
great question Daniel, and no you dont have to be terrific in math in order to be an engineer. You just have to get through the classes in whatever ways you can and you'll be fine

Civil engineering student here 🤚🏽 this is the best UA-cam video on civil engineering yet! Thanks Jake!!!
Thanks Momen !!
What video should we make next? Team CIVIL salute ?!?!?! Where are you 1% Civil Nation !!!!!
I'll be studying mechatronics next year and I'd love to see a video from you on the fields where that kind of education is applicable
PLEASE MAKE MORE CIVIL ENGINEERING VIDEOS! You make the best videos on the topic, so please. I'm begging you.
Industrial engineering please

What jobs you can get with civil engineering deg. How to choose what to specialize in
This is the most realistic video on civil engineering that I have seen. I've been a full time civil engineer for 5 years now
Really appreciate that!! Let me know if you would like to be featured on the channel, thank you !!
*beard game ON POINT*
1% Beard Club ?
I'm definitely part of those small group of extroverted civil engineers! Great video, Jake
thank you sir !!! appreciate the momentum towards collaborating! You'll be featured soon enough, thanks man

best engineering discipline! awesome video, Jake!
I know right, thank you so much for all the hard work this year, cheers!
Let's go #FutureCivilEngineer 🔥🔥
Team Civil !
Great video man, scratchy audio but alright. I would love a video on mechatronics please.
thanks and here you are “What Do Mechatronics Engineers Do?” ua-cam.com/video/4YjLZcQRLds/v-deo.html
What is the difference between the a Civil Eng. and a Structural Eng.
Do you have a review on industrial engineering?

@Ben Yehudah is sustainable engineering an actual program?
hey if you someday read this... i have the exact same doubts as you, could you share your insight now (or at least tell me how you turned out)?

Are you still a civil engineer?
i mean ill always be an engineer but i havent been working in the industry for 2.5 years
I’m interested in the video editor internship.
