Soils and Spuds: Exploring alternatives to fumigation

Pests and disease make it a challenge to keep the potato crop alive. But with support from McCain, Kiley Stucker has been growing green manures for biofumigation to improve soil health while avoiding fumigants that hurt the soil microbiome. The results are promising, and these kinds of partnerships ensure that both growers and processors can learn and benefit while reducing risk.
