  • Yes it's finally done, my dashboard is complete and running strong, using a pro gauge controller from symprojects to control the gauges.

    Was it done with the pro-gauge? why with arduino and simhub it's bone here.

    Hey, nice video. I want build my own dash, but really I don't have idea how to build it. Can you show how we can create one like this?

    Thinking about getting a Pro Gauge board. Where did you buy yours because in usa money it cost around $68 I think. Also do you know how to code the gauges in the ardrino because I would like to have the air pressure and the pro gauge does not support that. Do you know any way I could make the other gauges I want to work?

      IceFineGamer the pro gauge board I bought from symprojects.com, I believe theyre based out of the UK, and are the only manufacturer of a board that can do that, as for the Arduino coding I have no idea how you'd go about that as you'd also have to build your own plugin for collecting the game data and transmitting it to the Arduino, and as for what gauge it will work with, I recommend just buying one gauge and the pro gauge to test if they'll work, then go from there.

    Another question. You might not know this but do you know how to make it so when I flip the switchs it will send a key stroke or pulse to my american truck simulator? What I mean by this is when I turn the switch on it hits a key that I want it to hit and when I turn the switch off It hits that key again. Thanks

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  7 років тому

      IceFineGamer you could either but momentary switches and wire them to an Arduino, or buy those switch panels from www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Switch_Array/index.htm

    Hey buddy what material was used to make the dash please? plywood? mdf? or something else?

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  4 роки тому +1

      It's lauan wood, real thing, maybe 1/8 thick, could use anything, the gauges will accommodate a wide range of thickness

    Hey man. Your setup is awesome. Looked up VDO gauges, and they're super expensive! Where did you buy yours?

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  7 років тому +1

      MattyFinz I bought mine through raneys chrome in Ocala Florida, was about the cheapest I could find.

    • @mattyfinz
      @mattyfinz 7 років тому

      Thanks! That was actually a big help! They do seem to have the cheapest gauges. If you don't mind answering another question, I was actually wanting the 85 MPH version of the speedometer, which is different from the one that you used.
      www.raneystruckparts.com/semi-truck-3-3-8-electrical-speedometer-gauge-vision-black/
      I'm guessing that it would work in the same way as the 120 MPH version, but am just making sure. In your overlook video, you mentioned ohms being a factor, but I don't see anything on this page about the ohm specifications for this particular speedometer. Or is that just for the other gauges?

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  7 років тому +1

      MattyFinz the ohms range onlys affect the little gauges, as when powered they will either zero, or go full power. as for the 85 mph speedo it should be the same setup as the 120 mph speedo

    • @mattyfinz
      @mattyfinz 7 років тому

      Okay, I thought that might be the case. How are the gauges in American Truck Simulator? I've heard that people can't get the fuel gauge to read at all. Not sure if they've found a fix for it or not.

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  7 років тому +1

      MattyFinz with the progauge controller the fuel gauge works fine, just make sure you set the fuel level in the program to match your diagnostics readout.

    • @andrew9365
      @andrew9365  3 роки тому

      It's actually not an Arduino board the board is made by Sim projects it's called their pro-gauge controller. To wire your gauges you have six different signal outputs a speed and RPM output along with a 12 volt and ground on the board. I believe in one of my other videos I show wiring up the board for your gauges. But the actual programming is done through software on the computer
