Since there were only ten minutes left I was hopeful that they wouldn't show the deaths, but once I saw the soldiers I bursted into tears. I wish Anne and Peter were able to build a life together..
This play was done so well, I enjoyed it very much! I’ve always loved Anne frank, I hate that she died, and I could NOT imagine what her father felt walking back into the addict and picking up her diary then looking through it, breaks my heart every single time!
Who wouldn’t? It’s such a sad ending to a beautiful story. But despite all the sadness Annes diary and her fathers survival was the light of hope from this story. Now her memories will always be alive and known
this is a good show.. one thing Peter at times didn't have his shoes on and he was out in the cold weather with Ann he had gave her his jacket and he was in socks.. the man that played Peter did so good with Ann it took us right into story..
What an touching true story, rest in peace to everyone who perish. Thank you anne frank for your amazing diary. God bless you and your family and everyone in the secret annex.
You know what I did? I watched this play instead of reading the script like I was supposed too for school. I dont know if I'm really smart or lazy.. and I honestly got a lot more out of watching the play than reading the script.
Once everyone on the first floor leaves, they can speak and make noise, as long as they aren't straight up screaming (ex. Like Anne would when she had nightmares.)
For me my dumb teacher wighted out the puberty stuff even though practically every girl has had there period I find it dumb and it just gets rid of some of the things that are just a little special touch to the play
@@calebthompson1409 Well, at the audition I went to they had me read the “Mrs. Quack Quack” scene. Whether or not they have you do it, it’s still a good scene to practice! I personally played into the teen angst of Peter, deepening my voice a bit (since it’s pretty high) and glaring around the room, walking with a sort of swagger. What you do with him is your decision, but I found success in acting like an angry teenager with daddy issues (because that’s really all he is)
Adam Shirk. The actors were really into the story. The folks tried so hard to live & if they could have stayed in hiding a little longer maybe they might have all made it. That's why I think the actors were sad at the end.
When I saw this play, I left sobbing. My university put it on, but the ending with the Nazis had been much more violent, much more loud. I left the theatre crying and I was shaken up for a number of days. I imagine that its hard not to feel immersed when you’re actually involved in the play, and its not even a fraction of the true events.
I like theater. I'm glad you took on Anne Frank. It's a story not to be forgotten. I can't watch these acts, though I want to. I still recall the blue numbers. Sad times indeed. We can all agree the holocaust was a dark, dark time. When do the American Natives get their show? Many, many millions of natives died at the hand of Europeans. Heck, they even teach it in elementrary school; Trail of Tears, Custer's Last Stand, etc. Funny how the USA gov't likes to back the Jews and slaughter the natives all the while claiming Truth, Justice and the American Way! What a f'n joke the US is!

It’s so sad because they do such a good job making us like them and feel sorry for them and then they are taken by the Nazis and we know what happens next.
When they are angry and screaming at Mr. Van Daan and then turn around and are overjoyed by the news of invasion to seconds later??? That's the only thing I could think of.
Why would the Dutch policemen wear fake "SS" american looking uniforms? The eagle on the hats look like SA eagles. Why would Dutch policemen have those? And why the swastika armband? LOL.
