    Currently following this tutorial but with my own spin, I’m currently crafting miscellaneous tiny model trash items like cups and such to put in the bags and in the dumpster itself. This was super helpful especially because it’s my first time doing a custom diorama. Turning an old fish tank into a themed display!

    7:00 there's a more less expensive method my grandma used when making sugar packs to sell, you just need to light up a candle and let the plastic burn but make sure to not put it too closer to the candle.

    Great work man and nice video.. I'll probably try making something with that foam one day. Also, have you tried wrapping that dumpster with foil and then giving it a coat of paint? maybe you'll achieve a metallic effect.

    • @PatrickOhm
      @PatrickOhm  5 років тому

      hmm well doing that will not last long term as foiled wrapped anything usually breaks apart very very fast, let alone wrapping it. not too sure, never thought of it. but maybe to create a more metallic effect, can always undercoat it with chrome spray paint then light layer of desired color then top coat with shine finish? maybe..

    Great vid dude!!! The thin foam board, is it the one that has paper on it? Because that’s the only type of thin foam board I can find

    • @PatrickOhm
      @PatrickOhm  6 років тому +1

      Magic Man I know what u mean but no not the paper one, but since u asked, that one can be used for wall or floor tiles, it looks more legit compared to the foam I am using, basically all foams has its own use, so the foam u found, u can use it as well, maybe for my next upcoming dio, I will use that one, but since this dumpster doesn't require cracks and all, I guess the paper one is fine

    • @magicmananimations
      @magicmananimations 6 років тому +1

    • @PatrickOhm
      @PatrickOhm  6 років тому

      Magic Man well painting is okay as long as it sticks and make sure it's acrylic paint, I've tried other types, what happened to me was the paint got stuck to my figures after I leave it on the dio too long, so that is bad, as to where I got my foam, if u r from Malaysia, u can try "art friend", if u r not, then I'm sorry I'm not sure where brother 🙏🏼

    Sir, where did you buy/purchase the foam you're using for this project? I've looked in my local hardware stores (Lowe's, home Depot etc etc) & none of the seem to carry foam this thin. I've also checked my local hobby shops (Michael's & hobby lobby) no luck there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You do fantastic work btw👍

    • @PatrickOhm
      @PatrickOhm  5 років тому

      Hi bro, anyway the foam that I am using is called THP foam, I got mine from where I'm at, "Malaysia", only reason is because in Malaysia we couldn't get any pink/blue foam, and if even if there is, it is very expensive here in Malaysia, since you mention hobbylobby and home depot, please use XPS cream foam, if you have access to those, it is much better, the foam that I am using is fragile and hard to work with

    • @PatrickOhm

      Hope I answered your question, Haha but again I was facing the issue as you, I went high and low looking for pink foam 😂😂

    • @dipsauce1
      @dipsauce1 5 років тому +1

      @@PatrickOhm oddly enough pink foam was very simple for me to get at home Depot, only it appears to be way thicker than what you're using so I figured not to actually use that. The pink foam board that I have is about an inch thick, would you recommend actually just using that?

    • @PatrickOhm
      @PatrickOhm  5 років тому

      @@dipsauce1 oh I understand, well hmm, inch thick could be a good thing, and also a bad thing depends on what you are working on, cause I think 1inch garbage lids are way too thick , the foam I use is called THP, you can try looking for it online "artfriend" it's a local art store, not sure if they do shipping, but I can assume if u have pink foam and my THP foam, best with these two combined, you can create a badass dio
