The refined aesthetics of youngsters is demonstrated by choice of several Dikshitar and Shyama Sastry krithis in vilambakalam. This demands a strong voice, raga bhavam and a continuous undercurrent of layam. Perhaps this is easier in ragams like Arabhi which is defined by janta prayogams. Akshay was an inspiration to vocalist and violinist.
Madan Mohan! The tribe of young and smart violinists keeps growing. I consider myself as one who listens to considerable amount of Carnatic music (but with little knowledge of its grammar). It is only recently came to know about Madan Mohan and must be my fault entirely. Such skill does not develop overnight.
Let Devi’s kataksham shine brightly on these youngsters.

Coeecet.There is a Malayalam saying ‘’anjanamennathu naan ariyum, manjal pole veluthirikkum. Means I know the blue jewel sapphire? which is fairer like manjal. In effect I do not know blue white yellow etc. Sorry, no similarities with great Santhanam. Agree Easwar sings well
