It's not going to happen though. Punisher is Marvel which is firmly owned by Disney so you're not going to get him in MK which is Netherrealm. If you're going to get a comic book character it will have to be DC, Dark Horse comics (who own Hellboy), or IDW (Who own TMNT). It's possible that other comic book publishers who don't have exclusive contracts could lend their IP to MK, but not Marvel.

The Bride's a great choice. I'd also like to see Juliet from Lollipop Chainsaw, Bayonetta, and Lora Croft. Lora might be a bit too non-violent for an MK game, but she could have a cool moveset.

I cannot wait for Conan. I’ll admit I am yet to find another person as excited for him as I am but I feel like he will play aggressively, almost like Rambo in mk11. I definitely think he fits the mk11 aesthetic 10X better than ghostface does.

Every MK game so far has had a theme with its guest characters, X being horror and 11 being 80’s action, and it seemed like each pack in MK1 was also going to have a theme. Kombat pack 1’s theme was dark heroes with Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker. Since Ghostface is confirmed at this point, it would only make sense Kombat Pack 2 would be horror themed, with characters like Pinhead or Michael Myers. The T1000 and Conan, while badass ideas, don’t really belong in a pack with Ghostface.
You said it best, If u have a horror icon in the pack it only makes sense to have the pack centered around a darker theme, it’s like they are just throwing random characters together with this one
Imagine ghost face's winning animation just removes their mask (like every ghost face for their big reveal in the last act of the movies) and it's just different every time haha. It'd be a cool way to not know which killer you're playing as unless you win. Probably way to expensive to mocap every actors face for that, but that'd be a fun little nod to everyone who's played the killer(s) throughout the franchise
They could code in the other fights faces. In the movies you never know which friend is Ghostface so it would be fun if it was revealed to be another fighter.
The T-1000 should play like Glacius in Killer Instinct. The way he liquefies himself and reappears would be awesome gameplay. Conan.....Tusk is alright. They could do great things if the mechanics are implemented right.

No. All dlc characters should be guest characters. The entire base roster is already mk fighters so having a handful of guests characters is more than acceptable

This idea came into my head when ghost face was confirmed: I was thinking that this version of ghost face could be a martial artist that had their life ruined after a tragic incident that involved a portal from the titan battle in (story mode), and it caused them to go mad, become ghost face and find out how to make their way into out world and kill any/everyone to get his revenge.

My only issue is Ghostface, I also believe he's just a man with a knife not comparable to smoke. I always believe that if they bring Ghostface they must implement the fact that there is more than one Ghostface into his move set. Think of how in injustice 2, swampthing could spawn identical copies of himself in the middle of his moves or grab animation. Another great example would be Johnny cage in Mortal Kombat 11. He had a move, I think it was called stunt double, where he could summon different people into the fight to grab the opponent or to hit the opponent. Ghostface should have moves that show that there are multiple Ghostface killers in play throughout his moveset. That's my honest opinion on Ghostface killer everyone else could be fine and I have faith in the developers but my only critique is that of Ghostface. Maybe have a fatality where he reveals his identity to the person before killing him and for fun have it be a different face model every time. Imagine how really fun it would be if one of them was a young Matthew Lillard 🤯. I know that's highly unlikely but man that would be a fun nod and love letter to the franchise. And while I'm here, bring back a character akin to Solomon Grundy from injustice. Maybe Ghostface could be a grappler. I just want a command grab that has many different options depending on the direction that you hold the arrow key to, I think that was such a great idea and mechanic and it was never implemented again so if they could do that for Ghostface or maybe another character.

I’m sure a ton of other people have already commented about this, but the T-1000 can only shapeshift into things/people it has touched (which 99% of the time=killed), and he can only transform his arms into simple objects, nothing with complex/moving parts like guns. Just blunt or bladed/stabbing weapons, even the gun he typically carries is simply a part of his cop disguise, it doesn’t actually work, which is why he is seen running out of ammo while chasing John/Sarah Conner through the parking garage in T2. My question is how the hell are fatalities going to work on him? I wondered the same thing with the T-800 and Robocop, and they handled them very well, but the T-1000 doesn’t bleed. In “reality” trying to fist fight him would be a death trap for humans, as he could absorb your fist when you punched him, then cut your arm off, if not just kill you. It’ll be interesting to see how they fatally kill a blob of Liquid Metal

I hope the rumors about these characters are ultimately false because they really don't fit MK. Like you said Ghostface is just a regular person with a knife. They're not not particularly strong either. In the movies, they regularly get their ass kicked. As for T-1000, gameplay would be cool, but the character is literally 100% liquid metal. No bones. No internal organs. Feels no pain and doesn't take physical damage, because it can instantly reform itself. How they hell will fatalities work on this character? Conan is the only one that remotely works, but even then, nobody is clamoring for Conan the Barbarian these days.
Not gonna lie, another Terminator guest in a direct sequel seems a little sus to me. Especially since I don't think anything Terminator is coming out right now due to the franchise being dead as fuck. Last actual good Terminator movie was over 30 years ago and Dark Fart practically took the IP out back and shot it in the head. Also the fatalities literally would not work on the T-1000. That's a big part of the movie.....the only way to kill him is to melt him. He also has no organs or guts or viscera or anything, so the fatalities just wouldn't work. It doesnt make sense both lore wise and rights wise. I'm leaning a bit more towards Deathstroke or Doomguy. Deathstroke for more obvious DC shit, and the Slayer due to the new game coming next year and massive fan demand. Then again NRS are professionals at not listening to their fans.

Conan is probably the best character ever to appear in any Mortal Kombat. Likely most of you have never heard of or read any of Robert E Howard's novels; much cooler than the Arnold films. No. All dlc characters should be guest characters. The entire base roster is already mk fighters so having a handful of guests characters is more than acceptable

Can we please put a stop to this talking point? Ghostface can be anyone. That’s the point of Ghostface. I’d personally like it if it were obscure Mk characters we aren’t likely to get behind the mask. Jarek, Hsu Hao, Meat, Mokap, or even have it be a new character who is Shaolin, Lin Kuei, Black Dragon, etc. There’s countless ways to make this make sense and ground it into the MK universe.
But ghostface is literally a person with a knife under a mask and costume.. WYM??!!

There's a 0 percent chance they ever stop putting guests in MK and INJ. They sell better than in-lore characters and spread the reach of the game. Look at Omniman/Homelander or the TMNT.

Guest characters for kp2 are the worst guest characters in any modern mk game.
I had T-1000 on my wishlist for a while now so I'm happy for that but I also want VALAK, The Shredder, Deadpool, Skarekrow (from Batman series) and John McClane from Die Hard 🐉
Valak and maybe John McClane were the only characters that I can choose but the only problem is that Bruce Willis has got dementia tho 😔
I can't wait to see how ghost face plays like what if in one of the fatalities the ghost face takes off the mask and it's one of the characters in the mk roster

This idea came into my head when ghost face was confirmed: I was thinking that this version of ghost face could be a martial artist that had their life ruined after a tragic incident that involved a portal from the titan battle in (story mode), and it caused them to go mad, become ghost face and find out how to make their way into out world and kill any/everyone to get his revenge.

My only issue is Ghostface, I also believe he's just a man with a knife not comparable to smoke. I always believe that if they bring Ghostface they must implement the fact that there is more than one Ghostface into his move set. Think of how in injustice 2, swampthing could spawn identical copies of himself in the middle of his moves or grab animation. Another great example would be Johnny cage in Mortal Kombat 11. He had a move, I think it was called stunt double, where he could summon different people into the fight to grab the opponent or to hit the opponent. Ghostface should have moves that show that there are multiple Ghostface killers in play throughout his moveset. That's my honest opinion on Ghostface killer everyone else could be fine and I have faith in the developers but my only critique is that of Ghostface. Maybe have a fatality where he reveals his identity to the person before killing him and for fun have it be a different face model every time. Imagine how really fun it would be if one of them was a young Matthew Lillard 🤯. I know that's highly unlikely but man that would be a fun nod and love letter to the franchise. And while I'm here, bring back a character akin to Solomon Grundy from injustice. Maybe Ghostface could be a grappler. I just want a command grab that has many different options depending on the direction that you hold the arrow key to, I think that was such a great idea and mechanic and it was never implemented again so if they could do that for Ghostface or maybe another character.

Ghoustface fatality where he takes of his mask, showing the victim who it is, then putting the mask back on not letting you, the player see, then kills them. Also garage door.
I’m sure a ton of other people have already commented about this, but the T-1000 can only shapeshift into things/people it has touched (which 99% of the time=killed), and he can only transform his arms into simple objects, nothing with complex/moving parts like guns. Just blunt or bladed/stabbing weapons, even the gun he typically carries is simply a part of his cop disguise, it doesn’t actually work, which is why he is seen running out of ammo while chasing John/Sarah Conner through the parking garage in T2. My question is how the hell are fatalities going to work on him? I wondered the same thing with the T-800 and Robocop, and they handled them very well, but the T-1000 doesn’t bleed. In “reality” trying to fist fight him would be a death trap for humans, as he could absorb your fist when you punched him, then cut your arm off, if not just kill you. It’ll be interesting to see how they fatally kill a blob of Liquid Metal

Like you said Ghostface is just a regular person with a knife. They're not not particularly strong either. In the movies, they regularly get their ass kicked.
As for T-1000, gameplay would be cool, but the character is literally 100% liquid metal. No bones. No internal organs. Feels no pain and doesn't take physical damage, because it can instantly reform itself. How they hell will fatalities work on this character?
Conan is the only one that remotely works, but even then, nobody is clamoring for Conan the Barbarian these days.
Not gonna lie, another Terminator guest in a direct sequel seems a little sus to me. Especially since I don't think anything Terminator is coming out right now due to the franchise being dead as fuck. Last actual good Terminator movie was over 30 years ago and Dark Fart practically took the IP out back and shot it in the head.
Also the fatalities literally would not work on the T-1000. That's a big part of the movie.....the only way to kill him is to melt him. He also has no organs or guts or viscera or anything, so the fatalities just wouldn't work.
It doesnt make sense both lore wise and rights wise. I'm leaning a bit more towards Deathstroke or Doomguy. Deathstroke for more obvious DC shit, and the Slayer due to the new game coming next year and massive fan demand.
Then again NRS are professionals at not listening to their fans.
Can we stop with this “guns in mk bad” shit? They’re killing each other, ofc people are going to use guns to help, having a few characters use guns ain’t bad, and I know, characters using guns to zone is annoying, but not every character with guns uses them to zone, spawn didn’t, neither did Rambo, Cassie, Jax or the T-800.
Conan is probably the best character ever to appear in any Mortal Kombat. Likely most of you have never heard of or read any of Robert E Howard's novels; much cooler than the Arnold films.
(Except maybe the predator, scorpion or Alien. T1000 "can't form complex moving parts- only knives and stabbing weapons".
Now lemme just say for guest characters the ones I saw here were mid. But I like making lists so here's who I'd pick/suggest if I worked at NRS:

Candy man
Beetle juice
The Bride (Kill Bill)
Now as for related characters I'd go with:
Kobra
Meat
Taven
And maybe...Mo-cap 😂

Would love to see Pinhead from Hellraiser. Also the T-1000 cannot turn any part of himself in to a gun. That is fully explained in T2, as the studio like’s to be as authentic as possible, I’d be shocked if the T-1000 could do that.

Ghost Face is a bad selection just because a person in a mask with a knife, T-1000 i think he will be like a mix of Tsung and the Ice guy from Killer Instinct, and Conan is ok he may have a good brutality and weapons choice. I personally think MK should go after an Anime character

Terminator 2 judgement day was always called Terminator 2 judgement day. Abbreviated T2 judgement day. Maybe your confused with the mad max series or something. That series had some strange title changes between American and foreign releases on the first 2 movies.
