1981 Scorpion Sidewinder - 10-30-2022

Well winter's just around the corner and it's time to unwrap the winter toys. I started with the 1981 Scorpion Sidewinder. It started without any spray and runs like a top. It's up for sale at this time, but if we don't sell it, I will be enjoying the snow with it.

Still have it posted? I came across the ad last week.
Instead in seeing more on the Cutlass. My brother had a 440 SS with the rainbow seat. We called it the rainbow warrior. Lol

Ha ha! That's what this one is, it's an 84 with the rainbow seat. Although I'm replacing the seat, so now it's just plain black. I think I bit off more than I can chew, but I'm into it up to my elbows, so I'll keep going and it should look decent when I'm done. Thanks Tom

The old Scorpion looks good. I always liked the Scorpions. You need to show your 2009 Polaris, I don't know if I have ever seen it.

Yeah I like it too, just need to thin out the herd. I just bought the 09. Brought it home yesterday. It's a 2009 Polaris Dragon Switchback 800. Quite a beast, definitely going to have to strap my hands to the bars to keep from falling off.

No, I'm liquidating to finance my new-used 2009 Polaris Dragon. I put the Sidewinder up sale because I just don't ride it that much. It's pretty to look at and it runs fantastic, but it just sits most of the winter. If I don't sell, no problem, I'll still ride it, it's quick for a 440.

@@snowking55 It is a nice machine, those 440's were good engines and quick. I wonder if that's the same engine that was in the Kawasaki 440 Invader that my Dad had ? 2009 Dragon is a big step up !
