Definetely didn't end. If Disney decides to revive JJ, we will for sure be seeing Trish Walker again. Maybe on not so great terms. But, I can say for sure we will see her once more.
Great vid about the relationship they had this season. I could get on board with it most of the time because Trish is damaged but there are so many male heroes that are damaged that get their redemption but they did Trish really wrong. This was the show that knew about the cancellation, why not write a happier ending? Anyway I always love your vids, you know that. x

This is the true tragedy of Netflix losing the franchise. Jessica Jones needed another season to tell this story AT WORST at best Trish Walker would have made an AMAZING spinoff.
I don't get the whole "they're sisters" thing. They're actually NOT sisters. At all. Not even close. People are so extreme. Literally Jessica was adopted as a teenager as a PR stunt because Trish's mom was image thirsty, and Jessica and Trish did not grow up with each other AT ALL, until their teen years. They have no blood relation. Nothing that connects them other than a signed guardianship. If they adopted Jessica as a baby, then yes, that would be creepy and weird because it would feel like they were blood sisters. It would be icky for sure. But they weren't. I 100% always got the vibe that their bond seemed romantic. Krysten Ritter, herself, (the Jessica Jones actress) stated that when she read the script for Jessica Jones' first season she thought Trish was an ex girlfriend. This whole "ew they're sisters thing" is stupid. It was a stunt to make "Patsy" look good, and Jessica and Trish were both much older - again, in their teen years. There would be nothing weird if they ended up liking each other. I totally shipped these two. Actually, in season three, when Jessica and Trish go to reveal Trish's secret about having superpowers now, Trish's mom initially thinks they're going to tell her that they're in a romantic relationship, to which she says to Trish, "omg Trish there are better lesbians than Jessica." 😂😂 so obviously, no one thinks it's weird. Because it isn't. They aren't related at all.
One of the things super hero shows do really well is tell villain stories. What makes a good villain is that they are often such good friends or allies to the hero. Who is a better friend of ally to Jessica Jones then Trish?

Jessica gave Trish many chances to change. Jessica let Trish go when she killed her mother. It took every ounce of love and care she had left for Trish to let her go. But Trish didn't learn her lesson, became obsessed with her super powers, and attempted to be a vigilante while going a criminal killing spree. The last fight scene in 3x13 when Trish tried to kill Jessica and stabbed her hand instead. It was at that moment Jessica knew that Trish was too far gone. Trish was never going to stop killing people or change unless she was imprisoned at the Raft. Jessica probably could have forgiven Trish for killing her mother and gave her proper guidance to become a hero, but that is not how Jessica does things. Jessica almost always fly solo. Trish might still end up becoming a villian.

Instead she not only let her go but also join her in her escape. And Alisa killed innocent people, not bad guys. Jessica had double standards, didn't she? And Jessica cornered Trish. Trish was trying to defend herself against her captor. If she wanted to kill Jessica, she would have done it when they were fighting in the dark, when she had advantage over Jessica.Jessica put a serial killer in Trish's way, obliterated her right to do justice to her mother, and imprisoned the woman who saved her life when Sallinger tried to kill her in that water tank. You should give a better look to your hero. She was nasty!

Jessica always complained to Trish about how the big the burden was from having super powers and responsibility to saving civilians from bad people. Jessica's mom is a cold-blooded assassin and killed many people in cold blood, but it was Jessica's call to make whether to kill her own mom or turn her in, not Trish. And it will give anyone PTSD and nightmares to see your parents killed in front of you. Jessica could have killed Trish's mom, Dorothy for abusing Trish all those years. But she didn't. She just protected Trish and scared her mom from ever physically abusing Trish again. Also, Trish had always been envious of Jessica's powers since the beginning given she was physically abused and felt powerless throughout her entire life. Also, Trish was destined to end up a villian if she was given super powers, but wasn't given the right guidance about how to manage and use her powers in the right way. If you read through/ seen enough marvel and dc comics/movies, you will see a pattern in some of the villians, who were power-hungry from the start and end up abusing/losing control of their superpower and go on a killing spree until a 'hero' or someone stops them.

It got clear in this last season, when Trish got powers too. The whole situation involving Sallinger was Jessica's fault since the beggining. If she hadn't invited Trish to help her against Sallinger, Trish would have developed her own way to be a super-hero. It was also Jessica's arrogance humiliating Sallinger in front of his greco-roman wrestling students that made him retaliate her killing Trish's mother. And it was the fact thatJessica prevented Trish from doing justice to her mother, based on that crap argument that she would turn into a villain if she did, that became Trish unbalanced. So if you see that it wasn't Trish's call to kill Jessica's mother, you have to agree that it wasn't Jessica's call to decide for Trish whether to kill Sallinger or not. She disempowered Trish and misled her. And the trauma of finding her mother tortured to death without been able to kill Sallinger right away turned her into a punisher, not a villain. She has never killed innocent people and could have been redeemed without been sent to the Raft. I hope to see her again without her alcoholic and hypocritical stepsister.

I vigilantly defended Trish/Hellcat in season 2 as I really related to the immense struggle to never feel helpless again and her obsession with becoming a hero, one that became a dangerous obsession at that, far more than just a fancy with being a hero but an obsession where she appointed herself judge, jury and executioner. I was still in love with Trish even with her ideals falling into that grey area even for someone like me who loves anti heroe's like Red hood, Punisher, Hit girl ect ect right up until the last few episodes where I just felt they could have done better with her but I don't really blame the writers or the cast ect ect as sadly due to whatever was going on between Netflix and disney there was no time for a Trish redemption story and no time for Jessica and Luke to get married and no time for more Defenders ect ect but I wish..I just wish they'd given us Trish/Hellcat fans more hope for the character, have her actually escape to Thailand and then have Jess read a paper near the end that says something about a cat-like vigilante saving lives and hailed as a hero over there.
