absolutely awesome shooting Greg. sorry about that one miss because you made shots on much more difficult targets and there were a few of those for sure. Way to keep it together after a miss too brother!
Fun 3D, congrats for your scores without the crutches of range finders and string walking. I'd like to see that shoot again without their crutches! What is the range quiver you're using?
I just found your channel. Looked like it was a lot of fun. May I ask what you have for a bow and poundage. I’m getting back into Archery after a injury and I was just starting out with a Samick Sage which I still have.
I have multiple bows, from a Sage and Black Hunter to Vintage Ben Pearsons. Poundage is from 30 up to 50. For targets I like 30 pounds, for 3D, 30 to 40. The 50 is a hunting bow that I used for 3D from time to time.
I think those range finders are for compound archers. Getting good at estimating range is a big part of 3D archery and hunting. If they allow range finders on a course, they might as well just print the range right on the stake. You really shoot that old Ben Pearson well Greg, those bows are especially fun on a 3D course!
Are you guys allowed to range the target in ASA? In WA 3D and our local 3Ds no ranging, no rangefinders allowed anywhere near the course and no discussion of the distances until you ve left the target after pulling arrows and scoring. Just interesting to hear the chat while you guys were shooting
To say you didn't shoot good would not be truthful you really did but to say that you belong with the big boys is also untruthful that's like a 30% difference between their shooting and yours and I think you should be under 10 to consider yourself one of the big boys just my opinion but you did shoot good
Never said I belong with the big boys. Not sure where you got that misconception. As for how I shot, I did not shoot good. That miss, was my first one in an event in a while. That cost me big time. That miss is also why I would never say I belong with the Big boys, they do not miss.
man one thing I notice is how loud those metal bows are
Thanks Greg and thanks for showing the yardage. The camera can make them all look 30 yards plus to me. Great video.
Great to see how good these guys shoot!! Just shows repeatable form is the key to accuracy!!!
That was cool! You were right up there mate!
Good show, thanks.
Looked like a real fun day out!
😇
Best video in a while Greg 💪🏹
Good job
Looks like a blast. You shoot really well.

The quiver is called the "Hipster". It is from Whiskey City Traditional Archery. First impressions are very positive.
those dudes were good
Not bad Greg, not bad at all.

What kind of bows were Mike and Steve using thanks Great Video
Mike has the WFX27 with uukha limbs not sure which ones.
I believe Steve is using a Gilleo. I do not know my bare bows, sorry.

How are you supposed to learn to guess distance if you never know exactly what the distance is?

According to Steve they are allowed range finders. Pretty sure we are not suppose to talk about ranges, which is dumb if you all range finders.
Its not a fair fight !!! Greg let them shoot your bow off the shelf with no crawl and see who comes out on top !!
The ZERO hurts
Nothing can ruin your score more than a zero.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Main thing is, did you think you killed as many critters as they did ?
Not a hunt a competition, they scored more points and thus they won.
Mike 7:39 min. 70+10= 80
Steve 8:11 min. 78+8= 86
Greg 8:25 min. 61+10=71
And someone calculated it like this..
Greg 79?
Steve 88?
Mike 80 yeah...
And only one person was bothered enough to mention it…..
Just shut to
Yawn
