This was a nice change from the normal Hoggery and I really learned a lot from this video. I appreciate your work and the effort to bring us these videos!! I always look forward to your next posting. Thanks for what you do!
Thanks David, it's an interesting video to watch for a UK resident. You probably know that Beavers were hunted to extinction in the UK but are now being reintroduced in an attempt to stop flooding of rivers.
Awwwe I think everyone that traps gets caught up in their own trap once and and while! Thanks for educating us on some of your trapping knowledge. I learn something every video you post! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge and good luck on them beavers!
Good video. Beavers are very active during the heavy rains as you know, saw at least a dozen road kills here in SC after all the rain here last two weeks. I don’t trap anymore, too busy with other things. I tried those sets like some of the ones you demonstrated. I found the best thing is a confined area in any given place where they are trying to establish themselves, is a castor oil lure, believe mine was Hawbakers, other good ones out there. Do a double set with 330 conibers, on edge of a land piece at the water, all the beavers will fight the first one due to the inferior scent at, forgetting, the castor mound that you make to put the scent on. They will even bite holes in the first caught beaver as if they are blaming that one as the invader. As you know, check the state laws regarding the use of the bigger conibear stye traps on land or how far or deep that they need to be. Thanks
David, I really enjoyed this video & when you got your fingers caught, I just about jumped. I see you now have 130K subscribers, so congrats are in order!
Good video David, I'm not a trapper but feel I understand the process more fully and completely agree that beaver can destroy valuable woodlands with their flooding. Film some like this one about the wild hog problem!😊
YAWT YAWT MAN, Trapper J is ice fishing MN. J. Is catching slab crappies !! Having a blast while you're out there playing in the water and playing with a beaver ! Lol Now You can tell trapper J. You took that trap challenge and got your hands stuck in the trap!! Lol
Great video, loved it thanks again! David please be extra careful around them beavers - as you know they have super sharp teeth and I saw where a poor guy got bitten and bled out before he could get help - please Dear Lord, Dear Jesus watch over David keep him safe, healthy, happy and prosperous - he is one of your Angels and brings such joy and laughter to so many!
My buddy and I were duck hunting a small creek last year and we were standing on the edge it was early morning just about shooting light and we had a beaver swim right up against us brushed into our legs freaked us out for sure lucky it didn't try to bite us. All we did was freeze it was an interesting moment lol
Thankfully,, Since I Was A Child,, I Just Love To Learn Anything New That I Can,, So I Thank You For The Lesson Brother..It Was Clear & Very Informative.
Thank you for another video this week Mr. David you make my week. P.S. I am praying for a new heavy duty Ranger for you so you can drag em hawgs out from them traps and help feed more families. Well wishes from Canada. 😃
Thanks to you for your time. The new and extra information as all was brother. Those who say kill to eat usually don’t understand the damage nuisance animals can do. Good luck and as always GOD BLESS
David absolutely love your channel , but I can understand why there are reintroducing beavers this side of the pond GB . Keep up the good work my friend. God bless you.
Hey, David. I’ve been slack of late on your videos. 😐. I’m going to get caught up but I’m still a supporter. I just can’t figure that web page out. I’m an old Granny that hasn’t learned all this technology yet. 🤣. Great informative video. Loved it! 💖🇺🇸

A heads-up to you Brthr Yawt, Yawt. Kentwood border of Mississippi & Louisiana, has a confirmed Tornado on th ground, right now. 6:01 pm, just after dark. I'm in Morganza, watch this troop of storms moving your direction. Be Careful Dear Brthr, & watchful too. Keep your family safe. B in CHRIST.
What a beautiful animal. I'm glad God chose you for that job cause I couldn't. I know that it has to be done though. Even if you cut off the tail and threw the poor old feller in the woods, it wouldn't go to waste. I'm happy that sweet Bella will get to dine on the good stuff. Maybe you could play a little Lainey music for her!! Thank you again for all you do. As always ❤🙏
Ayeee David . IDK If you saw the "Net Trapes" that are available. (you probably know abt them) ... But if not - they seem amazing !! - The wild critters enter the traps at ANYTIME because the traps are "set" as soon as you put the trap up. They are the same sizes as the metal traps you use. Also the net traps are easily moved and LIGHT WEIGHT. Welp thats all i got and thanks for your hard work - C.G.
No they are not light weight and easy to handle. They will not be good in mud. They also trap fawns in the summer and hard horn deer get hung up in the winter.
The tail is the best part I am told. And the meat is good too. Enjoy the beaver meat too. And the pelts and what ever else is gotten from the beaver. Those two front teeth make for a good necklace too.
My son was upset that you don't livetrap the beavers and relocate them into the deep wilderness, like they do up north. I said that maybe up north, they have more wilderness than Mississippi.
My friend had a 40 acres in corn flooded from beaver. We went in after work to break the Damm. It was getting dark so I stood my shovel up in the mud. When we came back the next evening my handle was chewed off. 😂
David can those boar hogs be eaten I know one time my Dad killed one and the meat stunk please let me know if certain process to go thru. So glad I found you page you make me laugh admire you Christian belief and not ashamed of acknowledging of God.❤
