You have done a fantastic job 👏 in setting these beautiful succulents, love the pots you have made furthermore;they have been displayed so well, spaced on each rack.
I have noticed you have increased the lighting based on their needs for the Succulents with ferina on them thus taking care of the lighting as well.
    Which is excellent✌️
I hope you are doing great and
    Thank you for sharing 🙏

I’m a newbie to succulents and I love your babies 😊. Can you recommend which grow lights you use? My babies are inside since I live in an apartment

I think most grow lights you see on the market is equally effective but currently my personal favorite is (first link)…if you need a light bulb instead of strip or plate then it’s the second link.

Love love love your succulent collection! Especially the many echeverias you have. I’m trying to grow some echeverias indoors too. People tell me I’m crazy for doing so since I live in San Diego, prime real estate for growing succulents. However, I feel it is a challenge and hopefully, I can gain some experience as well!
Hope your etiolated echeverias will recover! Many of them are so pretty! If you don’t mind me asking, how long have you had them?
    Thanks!
    Chet

Thank you much! I’ve been building up my collection for over 2 years so they’ve all been with me for various amount of time. Growing them indoors is a big challenge for sure. But if you ask me, there are definite benefits too!
Specifically the ones in this video (stretched ones)…Echeveria Birch I’ve had it since March. Echeveria Arzee I’ve had since February. Echeveria Salmon since April. Echeveria Abiyu since March. For the most part long as you water them appropriately with the season it won’t stretch that much but there are so many factors to consider. Spring is hard indoors because they’re so motivated to grow. If you want them to grow, you have to water them but you don’t want them to shoot up in the middle so sometimes it’s really a guessing game at watering time. 🤣

@@beginneronceagain2857 Haha you are definitely right about the watering. It is a definitely a balancing act of how often to water, especially indoors. I'm still tackling this challenge and hopefully will find a sweet spot. I haven't had to deal with etiolation yet *knocks on wood*, but I have had to deal with rot. A few months, when I started growing succulents indoors, I was watering them about every 12 days indoors when they were in succulent soil mixed with pumice. Two of my echeverias (Echeveria ice green and Echeveria cream puff) rotted. 😭As a result, I ended up switching the soil on all my succulents to a much grittier mix. The mix that I use now is called bonsai jack. I also use terra cotta pots so that the water evaporates a lot quicker after I water.
I am amazed at how many echeveria varieties there are. I have never heard of the ones that you mentioned: Echeveria birch, Echeveria Arzee, and Echeveria Salmon. Every time I see a variety I don't have, I am so tempted to buy a new one. Guess that is why I seem to be short on money all the time 🤣. All my hard earned money went to purchase new succulents, especially echeveria. The pokemon saying "gotta catch them all" has now turned into "gotta buy them all" for echeveria.
      😆

Oh the varieties are endless! If I had more space I would love to have one of each. 😀 It is absolutely a pure obsession now. But I love plants and they bring so much joy and serenity. It’s definitely worth every penny. But I hear you. It’s such a costly hobby and I have to remember to keep myself in check for sure.
A grittier mix is a definite must and I actually water mine according to their condition. I used to buy succulents soil mix but I find mixing my own more economical. So depending on the variety, the season and its condition, I water them every 2/3/4 weeks. But I try not to pass the month mark. I have over 200 succulents so I have a spreadsheet to keep track of when it was watered. 😂 I love terracotta pots too! 50% of my succulents are in terracotta pots. So I’ve heard cream puffs are very difficult. I bought one months ago and it died on me within a couple of weeks. I managed to salvage a few leaves and I propagated them. I’m still trying to get them to grow big. In the meantime, I recently bought another cream puff. 😬 As far as icy green, mine is doing okay so far. It’s indoors right now and I’m making sure I only drizzle water every month. I think the trick to these slightly thick leaved succulents is to make sure only water them when their leaves are really soft and mushy to the touch. Especially indoors and in the summer. Air circulation is very very important. So fans! Lots of fans. 😅

@@beginneronceagain2857 Since I lost my echeveria cream puff, I haven't bought another one yet. I'm thinking once I get comfortable again growing other echeveria varieties indoors, I will take another shot in caring for a cream puff. Wish me luck lol! 🙂 Good luck on your cream puff too! I know you will do so awesome with it! Your dedication with your plants is so palpable in your videos. Your love for your succulents is so apparent in your videos! ❤😀
200 succulents! Wow you are a superstar succulent plant mom ✴🌟. You also have a spreadsheet for keeping track of the watering schedule. That is true dedication right there! I water my inside succulents about every 7-10 days and my outside succulents about once every 5 days. The outside succulents get watered a little more often since it is quite hot in San Diego now. Eventually, I will need to develop a system of tracking for my watering lol. I currently have about 11 indoor echeveria varieties. I will soon have 4 additional echeverias added to my indoor collection so it will be a total of 15. I gave in a moment ago and ordered 4 more echeverias. I wanted to add a little more to my collection so I just went ahead and treated myself lol 😂.
I wholeheartedly agree that plants, especially succulents, bring so much joy and serenity! Caring for succulents have been therapeutic for me for the past year. It is such a great hobby and gives me so much purpose in life. Watching them grow healthy and big gives one a feeling of accomplishment. It is amazing to buy them when they are small and watch them grow big and sometimes put off offsets when they mature.
Thankyou so much for sharing your passion! 😃 Please forgive me for my long posts. This one is my 3rd long post lol. I got carried away since succulents are also my interest as well. I promise I will make my future posts shorter 😉.

Oh no worries. I love talking about my succulents and if I could, I would do so all day long! Taking care of my succulents is absolutely therapeutic and has really helped me through some tough times.
And I absolutely agree! Watching the succulents grow and change and morph into something entirely unimaginable…it’s absolutely amazing. There is so much satisfaction in taking care of succulents.
I’m still learning every day and with each season that goes by, I feel like I’m one step closer! Good luck with your succulents. It sounds like you have a huge passion for them too and with it I have no doubt in my mind that you will do great.
The great thing about succulents is that with enough observation and early detection, we can overcome any issue and most of them can be salvaged one way or another. They’re truly resilient and so forgiving. I’m still waiting for my cream puff propagation to gain independence from its mother leaf. I’ll continue to post more updates. Please keep me posted on your succulents too!
