Screw-in balljoints on Citroen XM still give me sleepless nights. Had one so tight and rusted in, the balljoint socket snapped at the tangs that engage with the balljoint notches.
Hi, no as it was the release bearing that went, but you should depressurise if doing any work on it, I can't remember how much pressure is in it, a few bar or more. I wouldn't take the chance of it blowing every where though.
Hi this is a great video I have a 2008 model that is spewing it’s hydraulic oil out from inside the gearbox I’m going to strip it off and see what it needs any advice you can offer and what we’re your symptoms please Mine will through its oil out within 10 mins after been filled so it’s a good leak lol thanks In advance
So sorry James I've just seen this. Did you get it sorted? It through oil out like crazy too. It's been so long now I can't fully remember. But I'm certain I traced it to the hydraulic thrust bearing, which was the cheapest thing it could have been!
my citroen c crosser presents a problem for about 40 minutes of driving, let it rest then it runs fine again when I continue for about 30-40 minutes it presents a problem!! I've changed the electronics, the lamellas still can't be adjusted! What could be the problem, please

It's my worse nightmare when these things happen.
Nice one mate, just going through this job now, did you not have to depressurise the release bearing with the lap top before pulling stuff out,,
