Amen. The truth is out there and I think we are done being stoic in prayer when the hate comes at us. I decided many years ago to study and become ready. I even took a walk with the Prots for a while. When the lies became HUGE I could no longer acquiesce to it any longer and found my way back with a vigorous dedication to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Former protestant here - became Catholic at this year's Easter Vigil ⛪. Having to say goodbye to my old church was that much harder when I started to see just how deeply rooted some of the Catholic hate was among a few. And the most depressing part was that so much of their resistance to Catholicism was based on a very poor understanding of it.
I've never been closer to God and it's my greatest wish that our protestant brothers and sisters will one day be able to experience that fullness of communion with the Church again. Their love for Christ is self-evident, and it's a shame to see so many, through no fault of their own, being led astray by false teachings and lies about the Church.

@@StringofPearls55 listening to both sides of the argument with an open mind, reading the church fathers, and I’d recommend trying to avoid watching content creators who aren’t willing to actually debate/ dialogue with the opposing side that was my initial error too many echo chambers on the internet. Sadly we have a “Protestant problem” of our own in the Catholic Church with various “Rad trads, LGBTQ Catholics, and more” not believing Jesus as the Head of the Catholic Church and pope Francis under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit with recent doctrine releases the last 5 months and attempting to usurp the authority of the Church for their own control over and beliefs opposing the authority Jesus gave Peter in Matthew 16:17-19

I was born into the Jehovahs Witnesses. My family initially came from a Baptist and Methodist background and had very prejudiced views towards Catholics. I was always curious about my friends who would go to CCD after school and was told a lot of misinformation regarding what Catholics believed. I left religion all together but when I decided to look into what the Bible really taught it begged the question “if the Catholic Church is so false as I was led to believe, why would anyone still be Catholic?” I stumbled on Brian’s channel and I liked how he isn’t afraid to tackle the hard questions and debate. One really bad day i prayed to the lord to show me where i was wrong, what i had to do, where to go to fix my life. I was about to lose my family so i was desperate.
That night i dreamt about the history of the catholic church. I tried very hard to prove it wrong and couldnt. It took me about 6 months of intense daily study before i saw trent horn’s debate with james white. The craziest thing is…. Everything i learned about Catholic history matched my dream exactly and i had NO IDEA of that history before that dream! Not a Protestant convert but my first entry point was accidentally a sedevacantist church. Because I wanted to go to a TLM and through opportunity I thought Mary was guiding us to this small TLM which ended up being sede…
Well I commented on one of your videos a sedevacantist view and you challenged me. Being honest I tried to look deeper into my point and yours on that issue.
To cut a long story short, myself and my family of 5 were baptised into the one true Holy Apostolic Catholic Church on 23rd December last year and my wife and I had our first communion during midnight mass on Christmas.
I share this to say your taking the time to challenge me with the truth, maybe it didn’t instantly change my mind but I’m sure it planted a seed of truth I needed at that time. One which was humility which was that you were correct that I was talking without knowledge just blindly repeating a sede viewpoint, just like Protestants do.
Happy to say it was that humility in understanding I’m not an authority, the laity don’t have authority over declaring popes heretics and I can with certainty say I’m no longer sede and I pray for those we met during our time there to return to the true Catholic Church.
During these times we cannot leave the Catholic Church, I was misguided, but in a night where I sincerely turned to the Lord I poured out my struggles and feelings and the next day we were lead to a new parish which has just moved closer to our home. The teaching here applies for Protestants too, if you have doubts, turn to the Lord sincerely and be willing to listen when he calls you or directs you in life and in this faith I truly believe all which do so sincerely can be saved through Our Lords grace. Even me this wretched sinner was lead out of the pig pen and brought home so I know our Protestant brothers and sisters can receive the same mercy and guidance through the truth of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
Keep up the great work brother.

I am saddened by some of the comments here. I am a very serious Christian, after growing up in an atheist home. But I adhere most to Protestantism. With that said, I LOVE all Christians - orthodox, Catholic, and Protestants.
I love Jesus with all my heart and I love his people - all Christians. Rather than think of Protestants as going to hell or unsaved, think of Orthodoxy, Catholicism, and Protestantism as all following Christ, but there is a hierarchy for which one is at the top and bottom. But we will see each other in paradise.
I frequently stand up for Catholicism in front of Protestant family and friends, despite not being a Catholic. Jesus would rather his people praise, worship, and obey him rather than sow hatred and division amongst ourselves. And yes I know, Protestants can be very unloving towards Catholicism.

The thing about former Catholics is they never knew their faith before they left. They didn't even look into it most times. Whereas these Protestants study the Catholic faith first, study the Bible and history, and they make an educated decision to become Catholic because it's the True Church of Jesus christ. We have whole videos on the sad case of Ex Catholics who didn't know anything and then suddenly became experts about Catholicism from anti-catholic protestants. But unfortunately they didn't know the Bible enough or history enough to realize they were being hoodwinked.

@@whathappening5323 I would recommend actually looking at church history. There was only sacred tradition and the Old Testament for 350 years, people were illiterate even at 1500 AD the amount of people who could read was about 11% and they were either rich or worked for the rich and it wasn’t until 1750 that literacy rates reached 60%. A Bible used to cost as much as a home or village depending on when you lived. There was about 1500 bibles printed in 1769 total and there was a population almost at a billion. They used to have bibles chained to giant rocks in the village next to the church. There wasn’t hundreds of denominations like there is today. Even in the 1700s there were only probably 20 denominations. Only one that could be traced back and proven to be founded by Christ even when you good search who founded the Catholic Church you see. Check every other denomination and you’ll see a man’s name.
Most of the beliefs people have today are a result of the increase of literacy with the typewriter back in 1865. Almost every church other than the four kingdom cults of Mormonism seventh day Adventism Jehovah’s witnesses and christian sciences and a few new denominations had the seven Old Testament books from the Catholics until 1885 AD. Furthermore because every denomination was in communion with the pope until 1510 AD I don’t believe God allowed the wrong religion for 1500 years to exist. That would mean almost 1500 years of damned souls. The Bible and simple history itself defend the Catholic Church. The reason for the stained glass the statues the paintings the creeds and even the parables Jesus told was the lack of literacy.

I accepted their coming with the purpose of talking them INTO the Catholic faith. I know my Bible and I asked the Lord to help me, guide my words to them. One of them, when accompanied by other, will come and talk about their study lessons. But, I started praying for the conversion of one of them in particular. This one started coming sometimes alone(!)and, in these times, she will accuatly hear my answers and make questions and seems growing in curiosity. This happens when she comes alone. Is this a nornal thing? For one of them to come alone? I took it as a sign of hope, that i must continue. I am praying the rosary everyday now, for the conversion of every single soul that comes to my door preaching.

They come to your door with an agenda, and strict rules to follow. 99.9% of them want to keep to the rules so they can report back to their team leader and get points for indoctrinating you.

Roman Catholic Church,” The term originates as an insult created by Anglicans who wished to refer to themselves as Catholic. They thus coined the term “Roman Catholic” to distinguish those in union with Rome from themselves and to create a sense in which they could refer to themselves as Catholics (by attempting to deprive actual Catholics to the right to the term).
Different variants of the “Roman” insult appeared at different times. The earliest form was the noun “Romanist” (one belonging to the Catholic Church), which appeared in England about 1515-1525. The next to develop was the adjective “Romish” (similar to something done or believed in the Catholic Church), which appeared around 1525-1535. Next came the noun “Roman Catholic” (one belonging to the Catholic Church), which was coined around 1595-1605. Shortly thereafter came the verb “to Romanize” (to make someone a Catholic or to become a Catholic), which appeared around 1600-10. Between 1665 and 1675 we got the noun “Romanism” (the system of Catholic beliefs and practices), and finally we got a latecomer term about 1815-1825, the noun “Roman Catholicism,” a synonym for the earlier “Romanism.”
A similar complex of insults arose around “pope.” About 1515-25 the Anglicans coined the term “papist” and later its derivative “papism.” A quick follow-up, in 1520-1530, was the adjective “popish.” Next came “popery” (1525-1535), then “papistry” (1540-1550), with its later derivatives, “papistical” and “papistic.” (Source: Random House Webster’s College Dictionary, 1995 ed.)
This complex of insults is revealing as it shows the depths of animosity English Protestants had toward the Church. No other religious body (perhaps no other group at all, even national or racial) has such a complex of insults against it woven into the English language as does the Catholic Church. Even today many Protestants who have no idea what the origin of the term is cannot bring themselves to say “Catholic” without qualifying it or replacing it with an insult.🤔🤔

Jesus took the punishment for our sins on himself. I DON'T NEED A PRIEST TO PUNISH HIMSELF BECAUSE JESUS WAS THE PERFECT SACRIFICE. They also said confession was only for "serious" sins like murder and adultery... and that saying "I am not worthy that you should enter my roof but only say the word and my souls hall be healed" is good enough to receive communion. Are you kidding me? Did they not hear the sermon on the mount? Did they not understand Jesus's standard on what he deems murder and adultery? So much contradiction in Catholicism that I just cannot buy it anymore.

Venial sins are forgiven during mass, but at the beginning of mass when we confess them to Almighty God and to our brothers and sisters, not just before Communion.
If you've sinned mortality, that needs to be confessed to a priest.

As a cradle Catholic I never encountered a priest punishing. Sacrament of confession is to have a state of grace in order to have a fully communion with Lord Jesus in the Eucharist. 1 Corinthians 11:28-30 "Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.

Former Catholic, now a confessional Lutheran. I have no animosity towards Catholics. Nearly all my relatives remain Catholic. I have a few questions. First, Jesus gave us His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our faith. Why withhold the blood of Christ from the faithful in disobedience of Jesus? Priests don't refrain from receiving it, why not?
Second, I've been repeatedly accused of having my own interpretation if scripture by Catholics. They tell me I need the Catholic Church to interpret and I found in the Catechism that only the magisterium and Pope can provide a definitive interpretation. Where do I find such definitive interpretations?
Thirdly, I am also repeatly told that I am not "invincibly ignorant" due to my previous Catholicism as an adult including raised in Catholic schools, and therefore despite my faith in Jesus as savior, my valid baptism in the Catholic Church, my belief in the real presence of Christ's body and blood in the Eucharist along with weekly reception, that I am in grave danger of damnation unless I return to Catholicism. Why must I be Catholic to be saved.
Fourth, I watch a lot of Catholic UA-cam. Some say Pope Francis isn't really pope, some that he isn't Catholic, some say his reforms are an apostacy, some even say he is a heretic. Is there a schism in the church caused by the progressive changes occuring? Are traditional Catholics or progressive Catholics the true chuch, since unity with the Vicar of Christ is a necessity?
Fifth, if scripture alone isn't sufficient, by what standard is Sacred Tradition and pastoral care examined to assure it does no violence to God's truth and will?
You mentioned all the Catholic hating protestants, and how so many are converting. Diocese after diocese are being scaled down, closing parishes and merging parishes, why is Catholicism shrinking so quickly?
Finally just a comment. In my LCMS Lutheran congregation, I'd estimate that 1/4 were Catholics in their past just like me.
I am in the habit of praying nearly daily for the Pope and your church. You need clarity and unity badly. My fear for Catholics is they worship Christ's Church on par with or instead if Christ as savior. Jesus said He alone is the way to the Father.
    May God richly bless you.

    Not good.
Out of dozens so far, haven’t met a Roman Catholic YET who is able to correctly answer the ONE question guaranteed to give that person confidence on the Day of Judgment if heartfelt as is implied in 1 John 4:17 and to save him/her from that “second death” as Revelation 21:8 puts it while an incorrect answer guarantees the polar opposite of confidence on the Day of Judgment. Instead, sadly, it will be a matter of one “shrinking back and being destroyed” as Hebrews 10:19 implies. One of the most loving things one person can do for another is to help that “another person” fly as high as possible in Jesus while giving thought to eternity at the same time: “What have you got that I haven’t got? I want that too.”
The East/West Schism of 1054 is self-explanatory. Eastern Orthodoxy ended up siding with Christianity while Western Orthodoxy sided with Roman Catholic church. I personally like how this one priest in Alaska put it once: “Yeah, but I don’t want any of that ‘Rome’ stuff.” If you ever hear the term "Protestant", it's a Roman Catholic. Run...FAST.
Meanwhile... There’s only one way to be saved, period (Mark 1:15, John 3:1-6).
(SIDE NOTE - 100% of everyone’s born of water. Just think of every mom - Odds are that it got expressed at one time or another - “We need to get to the hospital. My water just broke.”)
Jesus at Calvary is the only way anyone is ever forgiven, again, period (John 14:6, John 19:30, Galatians 2:19-21).
Because of Jesus and His substitute sacrifice at Calvary (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45), your forgiveness is justified and the wrath of God the Father is turned away from you. Logically, it’s followed by His resurrection which means you live because He lives (Matthew 28:6, John 14:19b, Hebrews 7:24-25). (Lest anyone forget that we are FORGIVEN through Calvary (John 19:30) but it’s His life which saves (Romans 5:10).)
(If desired, also see Acts 4:12, Galatians 3:28-29, 1 John 3:23-24 and 1 John 5:6-12 for more information.)
Forgiveness is once for all (Hebrews 10:14), and it means it’s past, present and future (John 5:24, John 10:28, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 2:13-15, 1 John 2:12, 2 Peter 1:5-9, Jude 1:24-25, etc. Only one is needed since there are no contradictions in Scripture...EVER.). There’s no need to “keep a tally” or “visit some confession booth”. That’s all above and beyond of how loved and accepted you really are and why you are told to love and forgive others in return (Romans 5:8).
People come to Jesus to be forgiven and have resurrection life, not in order to have a fat wallet, great health, cool car, nice job, big house, etc.
(That “no ability to answer” scenario is actually tragic because that’s a lot of individuals.)
As long as a person is able to identify from the heart with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus...ONLY...that person is justified (Romans 5:10, Romans 6:5, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:19-21). Anything above and beyond that is merely some human attempting to push some “religion”, or “sin management”, or “man-plan” (see Hebrews 10:14). According to Romans 6:17-18, someone born again (or “born from above” - or “born anew” - John 3:1-6 - biblehub.com/greek/509.htm ) becomes obedient from the heart.

Yours must evidence He changed the customs demonstrably PRIOR His sealing the new covenant at His death. Hebrews 9:16-17 confirms a testimony is begun at the time of the testator's death...not decades or centuries later...Paul confirms with the legal and civic minded Celtics that once testator is dead NO CHANGES to his will Galatians 3:15

      2. That the Seventh-day Adventist Church denomination is not in the Bible.
      3. That they are "deceitful workers." (2 Cor. 11:13) They conceal their identity as long as possible in their personal work, and their broadcasts and public services are presented under titles that do not reveal their true identity.
      4. That Adventists assume the major premise in nearly all that they teach.
With love for their souls, I cry out, "Come out from this error!" Study the Scriptures -- prove all things!
knowing that the sabbath is nowhere commanded under the new covenant, must resort to the old. But this does them no good, affirming it is binding on Christians under the new covenant, unless they can prove that the old law is the new law or part thereof. This they make a feeble attempt to do. However, all that is necessary to refute his assumption is to prove that the old law is done away. If the old law is done away it is impossible for the affirmative to make it the authority in the new. This I intend to do at this time, and at the same time showing its location historically in the scheme of redemption.
In contending for the observance of the sabbath day of Exodus 20, Adventists overlook the significance of history which is summarized by the apostle Paul in Galatians three.
Four hundred and thirty years before the law was given at Mount Sinai, God made the promise to Abraham, "In thee shall all nations be blessed . . . He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." (Gal. 3:8, 16) At Sinai God made a covenant with the children of Israel, even the law. It was in this law that the sabbath was given or made known: "Thou camest down also upon Mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: and madest known unto them thy holy sabbath . . . by the hand of Moses thy servant." (Deut. 9:13-14) But this law "cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; . . . But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." (Gal. 3:17-25)
      1. Why do NO Christians keep the Sabbath in the New Testament?
      2. Why does Paul THREE times tell us that we need not keep the Sabbath?
      3. Why does Hebrews tell us that the day we keep is "ANOTHER" day?
      4. Why does the Bible tell us that the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant made with Israel? and then why does the Bible tell us that this covenant does not apply to Christians?
      5. Why are there NO commands for Christians to keep the Sabbath in the entire Bible?
      6. Why does Adventism teach that Adam kept the Sabbath, when the Bible teaches that no-one before the time of Moses knew about the Sabbath?
      7. Why does the Bible say that the Sabbath is a sign for Israel, and never applies it to mankind as a whole?
      8. Why does Adventism gather weekly on Saturday, when in the New Testament and in the first, second, and third centuries, Christians gathered on Sunday?
Luke 11:41 "But give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you.
Acts 10:15 Again a voice came to him a second time, "What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy."
Acts 11:9 "But a voice from heaven answered a second time, 'What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.'
Romans 14:1 Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions.
Colossians 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- (NASB ©1995)
Mark 7:19 because it goeth not into his heart, but into his belly, and goeth out into the draught? This he said , making all meats clean.
      John 5:18 (NIV)
18 For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
Hosea 2:11 will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. 758 years before the Birth of Christ.
Isaiah 1:12-14King James Version (KJV) 12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
It is ironic that Jesus and His disciples were harassed by the Pharisees over the Sabbath (John 5:18). Jesus spoke out against the Pharisee's merciless observance of the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; Luke 13:10-16). Jesus also defended Himself and His disciples on this issue by saying:
"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath; so the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath." [Mark 2:27-28; RSV]. On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them... [Acts 20:7]
It is interesting to note that St. Paul had spent a week with the community in Troas (Acts 20:6), and this is the only reported time that he celebrated the "breaking of bread" with them. Also no remarks are made later in this passage that St. Paul disapproved of their worship on Sunday. One would expect St. Paul to object to this practice, if it were rooted in paganism.
      and claiming authority over it.
The Lord said the Sabbaths would cease and that’s exactly what he meant...

Well actually the Bible does say that as long as our religion is 'pure' it is good....

Not to mention other versus such as:

"Train yourself for religion.. the usefulness of religion is unlimited since it holds promise for both life now and here to come" (1Tim4:7-8)

"The mystery of our religion is very deep" (1Tim3:16)

"You must aim to be upright and religious.." (1Tim6:11)

"We must live upright and religious lives" (Titus:1:12)

We must keep religion and doctrine (1Tim 6:3)
      Then why was Jesus religious?
      Baptizing
      Baptized
      Celebrating Jewish laws and festivals
      Teaching in the temple
      Etc....
Luke 11:23, "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."
Also, at the Last Supper, Jesus prayed that we may be one, just as He and The Father are one. How are we to be one if we do not unite and gather?
And, the Apostles formed Churches. They didn't convert a person and leave him/her, but united them together in Churches. And, as we know, Jesus and The Apostles are the Foundation of The Church.
To believe in Jesus is to have a religion.

      Matthew 16:18-19
      18
And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church,* and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
      19
l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Isaiah 22 provides the Old Testament context that Jesus’ disciples would have understood completely as he quoted this particular passage in Matthew 16. When Jesus said to Peter, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven,” his disciples would recognize the passage from Isaiah. They would understand that not only was Jesus calling himself the King of his kingdom, but that he was appointing Peter as his royal steward. That John in Revelation sees the ascended and glorified Christ holding the eternal keys only confirms the intention of Jesus to delegate that power to Peter-the foundation stone of his Church.
Catholic scholars are not alone in interpreting Matthew 16:17-19 as a direct quotation of Isaiah 22. Stephen Ray, in Upon This Rock, cites numerous Protestant biblical scholars who support this understanding and affirm that Jesus is delegating his authority over life and death, heaven and hell, to the founder of his Church on earth.
The second strand in the braided rope of Petrine authority is the image of steward. The steward in a royal household appears throughout the Old Testament record. The patriarch Joseph works with a steward in the palace in Egypt. King Saul has a steward, as does the prince Mephibosheth, but the most important image of steward in the Old Testament for understanding Matthew 16 is in Isaiah 22.
There the prophet foretells the fall of one royal steward and the succession of another. Shebna is being replaced by Eliakim, and the prophet says to the rejected Shebna, “I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open” (Is 22:21-22).
The true holder of the keys to the kingdom is the king himself, and in the Book of Revelation we see that the risen and glorified Christ holds the power of the keys-the power to bind and loose. John has a vision of Christ who says, “I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades” (Rv 1:18).
So the king holds the keys of the kingdom, but he delegates his power to the steward, and the keys of the kingdom are the symbol of this delegated authority. The keys not only opened all the doors, but they provided access to the store houses and financial resources of the king. In addition, the keys of the kingdom were worn on a sash that was a ceremonial badge of office. The passage from Isaiah and the customs all reveal that the role of the royal steward was an office given by the king, and that it was a successive office-the keys being handed to the next steward as a sign of the continuing delegated authority of the king himself.

Bro, Brian is not “trying to convince”himself about anything at all. He’s excited about his catholic faith and just wants to share it with others because he knows the Catholic Church is the one built by Jesus himself and it’s the only one with the fullness of truth unlike other man made religion. Thank you for your warning of hell but that’s why the Church has always taught us to constantly repent of our sins. That’s why we have sacrament of reconciliation, to go to confession and repent and do penance for our sins. As for “be born again,” John 3:5 clearly says, “Unless one is born of water and Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Being born again happens by water and the Holy Spirit. It happens in baptism. When Catholics are baptized we enter into the waters and die with Christ. As we rise from the waters, we’re reborn in Him. Baptism is also a sacrament that has an ongoing and eternal effect in our lives, a constant source of grace. From this well of grace we’re constantly nourished and renewed to live out the dignity we’re called to live. Easter is a time more than any when we’re called to renew our baptism and we renounce sin and profess our faith in Christ Jesus, our risen Lord. Thanks again for reminding!
