I'm so happy krile is getting a proper msq spotlight. From being a tease to Alphi in her intro, having story behind Eureka, being used as a tool for artificial echo, and a vessel for Hydaelyn, she deserves this. I can't wait for our big little sister to have a spot in this story :D

I'm so happy I was wrong about it being Green Mage. I thought about Pictomancer but it was so out there and silly, and such an obvious extrapolation of the shirt hint that I didn't think they'd do it. Ive never been so happy (yes I know, he's Happy) to be wrong. It suits Krile perfectly and now we can have the meme of this being A Relm Repainted.
A Relm Reborn as a job quest is a given
Nevermind the shirt, I was 100% convinced by the clover that we were getting Green. "But how will Green, previously a support job, be turned into a DPS job? I guess we'll find out this FanFe-OOHH this is even better!"
I also was betting with green mage and shown that we will getting pictomancer (i'm still happy and hoping it also has the lb3 flash grenade) but when you think about the adventure fron 2.0 to 6.0 everything is very tense with threats coming from left and right. meteor really needs this as a refresher and how light hearted and whimsical pictomancer is, its a nice touch to DT
Nutkin theory: that particular one is Urianger's new pet, because befriending small fuzzy critters seems to be his thing now. He sent it to prank Thancred on purpose, which is why he chuckled.
That trailer was a roller coaster ride and I loved every second of it

@@lushdontu4015 I think more than anything it shares a noticeable similarity to stormblood in the sense it just feels like we're seeing stuff "just because", as opposed to other expac's where it feels like the trailer is very narrative. Also, it lacks levity and threat like the other expac trailers have, its pretty but I hope its not another Stormblood.
@@KHRules considering we saw _nothing_ of North Tural and the weird high tech stuff that's happening there, I'm guessing the trailer is very much burying the lede. They want to give 0 hints as to why that stuff is there and what manner of apocalipse we'll be averting.
@@pedroscoponi4905 which is fine, I'm more bashing stormblood than anything. I have more hopes for this expac due to it feeling less like a fragmented mess, at least from what we've seen.
@@lushdontu4015 Remember that it SHOULD BE underwhelming. The story is usually built up across four parts in the form of expacs. Birth, Rise, Fall, Death. We're currently in the birth part where the new world and its rules are exposed and everything is brand new. The exploration of this is the excitement.
The shirt had an even deeper connection to Pictomancer. Yes, obviously the names of the turtles is the biggest and most obvious connection. But let's not forget who Relm's father is: Shadow, a ninja

it really does pretty perfectly capture both, Leonardo uses dual swords, the turtles are ninjas like Relm's dad, and theyre named after artists

1 Thing stand out in trailer and stuff we saw during day 1 stuff is blue stuff which looks somewhat serulium or something similiar north lands pic show that stuff more, but in trailer big lizzard also has this stuff in top side spikes. This makes me think possible that its something related to story like its somehow spreading from nine thing and mutating things in south which leads you heading there etc.
Does anyone else feel like the music in the trailer is spliced together weirdly, despite being otherwise very good?
So good that it's pictomancer - another 'mage' with a staff really wouldn't be as different and interesting as a job with a totally different aesthetic.
I really hope pictomancer is between blm and rmd in difficulty and is considered second strongest caster. I do not want it to be stronger than blm with an eqsier rotation

I didn’t know about pictomancer, but when it was announced I went… ooooohhhh the ninja turtles shirt makes perfect sense now. 😂
I'm actually kind of glad I'm not particularly interested in either of the new jobs. In EW I leveled sage day 1, and I just ended up being behind my friends who had done all the dungeons before me. I'm much more interested in the dragoon and astro reworks myself.
Viper will probably be the 6th or 7th thing I level this time around, and picto will probably join reaper as something I never bother unlocking. But that said, I'm glad people seem pretty hyped about these two in general.

Getting into my 9th year of playing the game, and this is the first expansion I am not excited for. I am trying my best, but it's not clicking.
A common thing with all the Xpac trailers is that the actual "hit the fan" twist is never revealed and the story always goes places folks didn't expect. I'm not super excited for DT either, but I know something is going on under the surface that's going to make it worth it, and as someone who loved ARR, DT is going to be at least better than that.

I liked the pictomancer as shown in the trailer... When they showed the class in the explanation, i wasnt all that thrilled with how the graphics looked for a lot of the attack animations.... I hope they look a lot better in the release

@@minuette1752 I'll take another look, but that was my first impression. The animations looked pretty cartoonish (talking bout the paint animation, not the characters movements)... Like that blizzard attack at the end? didn't like the look of that

I get that, but it looks really different from Krile's showcase. That was beautiful, and still obviously painting. That's not really what we got with the showcase. Chances are, my opinion will change as I get used to what the graphics actually are, but yea. I went from seeing what Krile did with the class, and then went to see the actual showcase, so ehh. Like I said, that was my first time take on the new class, which yea, I kinda went into the showcase with certain expectations, but still
If pictomancer is more oriented torwards "support" like DNC or BRD then let's just call it paincer
It's not a support job.
I doubt its fully support, it sounds like a dps that has more support options than other dps.
How you know that? As far as i know they said it won't do as much damage as BLM so it's going to have some sort of grp buff(s) to make up for it.@@Jay-mx5ky
@Jethro0815 because it's literally what he said. The full translation was "we wouldn't say it's full support job like you're thinking, but it isn't quite attack focused like black mage"
That means it's probably got a raid buff, but it isn't a support job like Dancer. It's like MNK and RPR.

Good thing they seem to have given up on the idea of "twin confusion" once and for all, making it very clear who is who.
It was good to see this evolution of these two, which has been occurring gradually for some time.
My only issue with Fem Hrothgar…is that they look great and how the males should also look. I will forever be bummed that the males are a hunched over mess with short legs and the inability to look to their side without turning at the hip, while to females look proper. Female actually look like the Ronso they are based on.

I like the trailer, but it's not something I'd watch over and over again like I did with pretty much every past ffxiv trailer while I get hyped up for the expansion. I think I liked the first Dawntrail teaser best. I think the Krile bit overstayed its welcome. Like imagine if the 5 second clips of Lyna dancing or the hawk flying over kugane were extended by 40 seconds.
Harrrd disagree, it’d be more like in the SHB trailer where they spent about the same amount of time if not longer on gunbreaker, since one of the main cast is literally that class it makes the most sense imo
@@georjoporjo3323 Gunbreaker in SHB is a 30 second prison break scene, not 45 seconds of dancing with nothing happening.

@@Snowmanse krile dances around for about 15 seconds, then it transitions to an establishing shot of the landscape including the super important bridge.
There’s no prison break scene cos as yoshi p said it seems dawntrail will be a lot more low stakes, but they can still show off classes for the same amount of time

It's time to add more content, people need to stop being happy with glamour and gear colour. We can't see your new outfit if there's nothing to make us online, there's time yet, I'll wait till launching.
How much of the side stuff have you done? Cause Eureka and Bozja can take months to a year to get through.
my brother in christ, they revealed a new ultimate coming in 7.1, 8 man raid plus savage coming a month after 7.0, a whole new expansion worth of MSQ, the allince raid starting in 7.1, cosmic exploration which sounded like it features a new planet with each patch cycle, a new field operation akin to Eureka or Bozja, more variant dungeons, gold saucer, hildy, more blu and a new limited job on top of that. If this stuff doesn’t get you excited then I think you need to confront the reality that you’re not square’s target audience anymore. this is very definitionally “more content” and very much so not just dye related.
We getting both a crafting community stuff and a brand new Field that is similar to Eureka/Bozja.
@@LittleListy21 Tbf, only the field operation and a new limited job is worth mentioning. The rest is just absolute minimum requirement.
