I play a lot of 8 ball pool on the bar tables and I do a 9 ball cut break for 8 ball. I put the cue ball just a little off center of the table and use low right, with a half ball hit on the front ball in the rack, and I make a ball on the break a lot. As a bonus, the 8 ball also goes on the break a lot using that break.

Melling with 3 dry breaks. Meanwhile in game 6, Henesee hits it like S, barely avoids scratch in side pocket, and still drops 15 in back corner.
